[Discussion] Sexual Abuse Claims Against MJ Estate - Robson/ Safechuck/ Doe

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

So that was it for today?

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

^guess so.

I don't understand why he wants to unseal them before he makes a decision on whether it will go on or not?
The judge is the only one who decides if this case were to go on, no jury or anything, so why does it matter whether or not the documents are unsealed. He got to read them. Isn't that the only thing that matters.
I just want there to be a decision one way or another. This waiting is miserable.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

That is what today's hearing was about should it remain under seal

I guess it's because of the public's right to information.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Oh great. This is too depressing.........

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Hmm... that's interesting. But I wonder if the unsealing would reveal anything considering what was already said in public... I have to admit, I'm interested in what is partially in it. I wonder when he'll make a decision. Guess we still gotta wait for that...

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

This is not a good thing, is it? I'm sure the press will be all over it :mello:

I don't understand this decision. Why should the public know about the details of the "abuse" Wade claimed he suffered before the judge even decides if there's going to be a case? Isn't that incredibly unfair to Michael? What if this case gets thrown out, then you have the allegations as public information but no official defense against them.

Judge may unseal part of Jackson abuse claim

By ANTHONY McCARTNEY

— Jun. 6 3:17 PM EDT

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge said Thursday he was inclined to unseal portions of a choreographer's court filings alleging he was abused by Michael Jackson.

However, personal details and psychiatrist reports would likely not be released.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said he needed to address which records should remain sealed before he can deal with whether Wade Robson, a choreographer and television personality, can pursue his claim.
Robson requested on May 1 that Beckloff allow him to file a late creditor's claim against Jackson's estate nearly eight years to the day after he testified in Jackson's defense at the singer's molestation trial.
Jackson was acquitted after Robson told jurors the entertainer never touched him inappropriately. Henry Gradstein, an attorney for Robson, said a breakdown last year prompted Robson to address the abuse.
Howard Weitzman, an attorney for Jackson's estate and Thomas Messereau, the lawyer who successfully defended Jackson, have attacked Robson's credibility and noted his repeated defense of the singer.
Weitzman has called the accusations "outrageous and pathetic."
"We are confident that the court will see this for what it is" he said at the time the allegations were first made.
On Thursday, Beckloff presented attorneys with possible redactions of Robson's sworn declaration and said it should serve as a roadmap for what information can be made public.
The judge believes some of the material could be made public, even though attorneys on both sides would like the case sealed in its entirety.
Some of Robson's private and personal information, including a paragraph that detailed his allegations of abuse by Jackson, should be sealed, Beckloff said.
He also said portions of the records that deal with mental health issues also should not be released.
"There aren't a lot of redactions," Beckloff said of his suggestions.
Attorneys for Robson and Jackson's estate will review the suggestions by the judge and report back at a hearing on June 25, the fourth anniversary of Jackson's death.
Beckoff, who is overseeing the probate case involving Jackson's massive estate, said he will also handle a separate lawsuit filed by Robson against Jackson and two other defendants listed as "Doe 2" and "Doe 3" that includes allegations of abuse by the entertainer. That lawsuit also remains sealed.
Robson, 30, has worked with Britney Spears and numerous other stars. He was 22 at the time he testified, telling jurors in Jackson's criminal case that he met the pop star when he was 5 and spent the night at Jackson's Neverland Ranch more than 20 times, sleeping in the singer's bedroom on most visits.
During the trial, Robson bristled at testimony by other witnesses that they had seen Jackson molest him.
"I'm very mad about it," he told jurors. "It's not true and they put my name through the dirt."
Gradstein previously issued a statement saying, "Last year, on a career trajectory that was off the charts, (Robson) collapsed under the stress and sexual trauma of what had happened to him for seven years as a child."

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

^ So much ado about nothing then. He's not actually releasing the document that talks about the "abuse" then.

http://bigstory.ap.org/article/portions-jackson-abuse-claims-may-be-unsealed

So the first date for the Civil Lawsuit thing is the 13th and then the second date for this claim is on the 25th. You've got to be kidding me.

Seems like this could drag on for a long time.

What is the difference between a creditor's claim and a civil lawsuit btw? Aren't they both about financial compensation? If I understand correctly, the cc is Wade sueing the Estate in Michael's place for the "abuse" and the civil lawsuit is Wade sueing some of Michael's companies because they failed to protect him from the "abuse" or something. If Wade loses the cc can he still win the civil lawsuit? I mean, can Wade receive compensation from MJ's companies for failing to protect him from "abuse" that the court is not convinced ever happened?

That part won't be released.

How do you know? Edit: never mind, read the post above.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Good. but no doubt the details will get leaked now

Do we know who is that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff????

And... what another coincidence, June 25th... halooooo...!!!!

Is this a coincidence?: Katherine Jackson vs. AEG - Paris´ suicide - Wade´s case/claims - June 25th.... haloooo!

Nah...

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

So Wade won today. He wanted it sealed and the parts that detail the abuse and the part that shows his mental health issues will be sealed, to protect Wade. Right now Michael is not protected because all know he has another allegation.

Who wants to bet that Wade has a bunch of mental issues that he now claims are due to what Michael did to him, and his psychiatrist signed off on it. Anyway I am not giving up yet, there is more to be done with Wade, and the estate lawyers are equipped.

That much I believe.

What about checking any/possible financial problems (what does he do for his living?), professional-career issues (does he work?), any/no drug problems?, no debts?...., lets see.... what will be revealed....

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

About those dates, usually the parties get their calender and the judge says how about June 25th. Now the estate lawyers could say the 25th is Michael's death anniversary and they have some activities to conduct, or something similar, and a new date can be chosen. I was not there so I don't know if the lawyers asked for another date. Maybe they wanted to get the thing out of the way as soon as possible.

Just make sure all of you do something utterly beautiful for Michael. This year more than ever we have to send a strong message about our love for this man. This has been a very distasteful year indeed!!!

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

May Wade rot in the depths of hell... I hope the estate has evidence against this dude that will demonstrate what a scheme this is.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

THE F*CK with those dates! :cringe:

June 13 is a celebration for Michael's deserved victory in 2005 and June 25 is of course a sad day but it's also a celebration of Michael's life and legacy. How could they!?

I hope Howard Weitzman has the proofs to not allow that f*cking allegation goes to trial...

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate
