Did MJ Find Love In The Dark (continued)

Well, if he did put some kind of a spell (haha) on her... to keep her from moving on with another guy, then I think after he married LMP... (speaking of which, Imma gonna borrow a phrase that she used in an interview which I had never heard before, but it tickled me...)

...All bets were off!

Yeah, that would have taken all the power juice right outta that little "binding" spell, if ya ask me. He shoulda thought that one through. (just bein' silly here).
:wild:

Actually Michael himself is pure magic. Anyway, "she" would be bewitched by the magic of Michael. :wild:

:shifty:

Ashtanga! The childlike quality in MJ has always been special, huh? :D He modeled it to all of us resistant adults out there hoping we'd catch on and experience the freedom in play and joy that he had, along with all of God's little children of the world. He had the secret to being like that, but he didn't wish for it to stay a secret, he wanted it for us all. And a lot of his fans, I've noticed, never lost that precious thing of staying childlike after growing up. That must have delighted him. You're one of them, Ashtanga. :flowers: You're blessed in that way.
Thanks! :D I always love to go back to childhood. I think everyone should keep it alive in their lives. It's always soooooooo good.... :wild: :punk:  And this has always been one of the things I always loved in Michael: the infant side and innocent. He was never ashamed to show it to the world and to the fans and that made Michael be even more special in this world. >>>>>>>>>

I see what you mean, 8701girl. (btw, what does your user name "8701girl" mean?):) I think maybe he hoped he and Lisa Marie really would work out and would start a family together and live happily ever after. He tried. It was not meant to be. I'm glad she found her soul-mate and is so blessed with those twin girls of hers and his. Her life finally moved on...but more on that... in bit.

My username comes from usher's album "8701", that album is one of my faves and the name was the most easiest that i could use so that i wouldnt forget it.

IMO- I dont think lisa has really moved on from mike, cuz its like everytime i see or hear bout her in the news- it always has to do with mike. i dont know to me it seems like shes trying to shake him off but cant.

I do believe how you are describing him was true for many , many years. But I also believe something changed after the trial. I believe God grew him up, not to the point that he would ever abandon his childlike heart, but God definitey matured him, and he became an even wiser, very grown man. When you consider a lot of the interviews he had with fellow musicians prior to the trial, they often said he was like a boy-man who loved to have fun. But the interviews with his fellow musicians, like akon, will.i.am, etc, post the trial, and in recent years, spoke more about his wisdom, intelligence, his love for others, his professionalism, and work ethic, and true, also, his sense of humor. They described a very mature man nearing fifty years of age. My thoughts are that in the last few years leading up to June 25, 2009, he was no longer a boy/man. Stiil playful and fun-loving, yes; still loving to laugh, oh yes; still enjoying those Three Stooges, you know it! But a mature man. Still generally terrified of relationships because of the way his life was set up and he could hardly trust anyone? Yeah. Probaby. But afraid of having a relationship with a woman God was showing him that He had lovingly set apart for him? I'm not so sure...

This is true. I believe all of his trials and tribulations really changed him in some ways. It had to have, it would have changed anyone. I think anyone going through that would have come out stronger, wiser and more mature

Last night while browsing here on MJJC my eyes caught notice of a banner on top of the page advertising NetFlix and examples of movies you could watch right now on your compy. I saw that the flick, Notting Hill, was included, and I remember seeing that years ago, but couldn't tell ya what the premise was after all this time... I just remembered Hugh Grant standing in some bookstore. I felt like watching a movie, so over to NetFlix I went and sat back to enjoy Notting Hill.

Maybe you guys already know this, what I had forgotten...the premise is that a normal, everyday guy is having an encounter with a celebrity female and they are attempting to have a relationship even with her being so very famous...so, here we go...Sound familiar to our story here of our LITD girl and Mr. Michael Jackson? Haven't we been exploring what all that would be like for him and what all that would be like for the LITD girl? It's flipped, of course, the guy is the "nobody", and the gal is the "somebody." But that's what makes it so touching in the end, where in one sentence she is willing to be so vulnerable and real with him by saying something like, "I'm just a girl standing here in front of a boy wanting to be loved." She had prefaced this by saying "You know this fame thing...isn't real."

She also mentions to him at one point in the film, to help him understand what it s like for her, that (now that we all have seen TII and the Gilda segment, you'll all get the reference) Rita Hayworth would say that when men were with her, in their minds they went to bed with "Gilda" and then they had to wake up the next morning with "just her." If anyone here had had the golden opportunity to be with MJ, would they be going to bed with that guy from the Dirty Diana vid? or that cute thing shaking his booty all around on stage during the Bad Tour? or the sweat-slick-sleeveless-shirt guy in the slim black jeans making his sultry-smooth dance moves all over the place in the In The Closet video?

Yeah, I mean what if a person wanted to get into bed with some flannel pajamas or whatever? They would probably have none of that makeup on or special lighting and costumes on (I would hope). Then in the morning it would be even worse, lol!

And the stars in the sky don't mean nothing
To you, they're a mirror...

Ash, I like Simply Red and For your babies is one of his beautiful songs. :)

The Truth
Daily Inspiration

One of the basic life philosophies I believe in is telling the truth. I’m often dismayed by those who deny or obstruct it. As I’ve been known to say many times, “you may not like what I have to say but you will always know where I stand.” When asked, I tell the truth and tend to respect and admire others that do too. The problem is that telling the truth often means paying a price of some kind. I don’t mean in a monetary sense, but rather paying an emotional or personal price.

James Garfield, the 20th president of the U.S., said something interesting: “The truth will set you free but first it will make you miserable.” That’s very true in many cases, and it’s wanting to avoid that very state of misery that prevents many people from telling the truth or even facing it. To me, the misery that accompanies telling or facing the truth is much healthier than the fake sense of safety that falsehood provides. My prescription for a healthy and wellness-oriented life demands that you tell the truth and face the truth at all times. And that, my dear friends, is the truth!

Wishing You Great Health,
Dr. John H. Sklare
