Did MJ Find Love In The Dark (continued)

I think God allows these things to happen - including our mistakes, because He thinks these experiences will make us better people somehow, but all these experiences take time to get through...
:scratch: Hmmmmmm This is what I always say: God is testing us all the time to see how far we endure and overcome all problems and difficulties to become ever stronger and better. And as you said, to make people better. Life is a great school and always have a lot to learn yet about it. The learning is endless, if we have to learn, more, more and more. :yes:

Yes, this was another thing I was going to add. God wants the two people involved to be people who have had their character built up so that when He puts them together, their relationship can be good and strong and solid and last. I think this is what the timing is about rather than it being his fault or her fault ... or any body's fault.

This knocks at least one paragraph off the 'book'. Nice and brief. Thanks. Well put.

EDIT - Actually the more I think about it, this pretty much sums it ALL up.

Well said. :flowers:

But... we have choice right? God has his perfect timing, but we also have choice so we can get in the way if we aren't trusting God. That's how I always saw it. The devil tries to tempt us away or distract, and if we let ourselves get distracted from God's plan for each of us, then we can end up postponing things right? Didn't something about Moses postpone them from finding the promised land or am I getting messed up?

So it is in God's hands when we place our lives in His hands. But if we go off on a tangent, then we can't blame God for that. He'd always make things right, once we are back to his path, but if we go against him, he won't force us into his will.

That's what I was getting at.

BTW, how did we come to the conclusion that they are not together?

(I was wondering about "this is it" too? I heard MJ wrote a song titled that, but didn't know that the lyrics were out for it)
I've enjoyed your posts too Ape - very thought provoking. Like this one. I feel that what MP said about "her" trusting in God's way rather than making sure that too much of her own volition comes into play makes a lot of sense as far as "her" being certain that it is God's will and not "hers" and therefore would want to trust His Divine timing.

I also understand what you're saying. I feel that distractions and mistakes come into play when looking at the aspect of "fault" - whether his or "hers".

I tend to believe that if we're going back as far back as the song of this thread title suggests, it may have been a matter of readiness on both their parts as well due to youth, allowing for more vulnerability to being 'distracted' as you say, by things that may have 'seemed' important at the time but weren't, to either him, or "her". Maturity seems to have a way of adjusting a person's focus onto what is truly important.

I believe it was determined that they aren't together by the songs - I guess starting with OMC which speaks for itself, then Fall Again also, The Way You Love Me where he repeats, "you'll see", - For All Time is in future tense, "I'll be" (your shoulder), Hold My Hand "tell me what we're waiting for" - - actually I believe its the sentiments from HMH that has everyone of that 'understanding' if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks guys. I can't actually remember what I have recently posted. I just know that if there were troubles placed in their lives like MJ and his court stuff, then there were probably just as easily things that got in between the two of them being together. Like the trials they must have endured thus far. But as MP said, it could just be tempering them through fire to make them strong enough to endure the rest of the stuff they will have to deal with in their relationship and lives and other plans God must have for their lives.

Aw well... guess we can pack up the thread then hey..lol. Wish him well with health and happiness. Maybe somehow the things we've talked about in this thread will come to pass for him and the lady meant for him, whomever she may be, despite the busy lives they lead.

MP, I'm glad someone likes books LOL ... because I'm working on abbreviating these thoughts as best I can! and its so not easy! lol

hmm ... I don't know if you're serious, and I don't mean to be too serious and I realize this won't be a popular thought as there are many married women who are attracted to MJ but I do not believe anyone who is spiritually in alignment with God's purpose would be in this type of predicament. "Fear of God" is a "fear" that causes people to love, honor and cherish and at the very least, keep His commandments, especially the one of "adultery" because his law about adultery is the one thing that serves God's purpose of keeping the "bride", the "church", pure of spot or blemish, which is the analogy I feel God uses for adultery, eg., he says if you even look at a person with adultery in one's heart, one has committed adultery - why - because it is just that serious to God that his "bride" (the church) is without even a "hint of sexual sin" within it

:giggle: Sorry to be getting all serious its just that the equation of fear + God is the same as the equation of fear + Love. It does not "compute' imho.

I feel that a married woman attracted to anyone, imho would have to test her feelings for any man after she is no longer married - not 'while' she is - otherwise things are out of "divine order" and doomed for lack of "fear" of God imho

"Love Never Fails"

*goes to work on making book one chapter instead of 10* lol bbl

Well, that just prevented me from getting into "heaven" - cause I cannot truthfully say that I have never looked at another man without thinking sexually about them...especially the Diet Coke guy from the 1980's....oh well....

Ladies!! You don't remember the Diet Coke Guy?? OMG!

aw Linda, :giggle: thanks for taking my lil 'soap box' schpeel with a dash of humor as usual... lol

please know I wasn't trying to act like I have a heaven (or hell :giggle: ) to put someone in ... I was referring to what the scenario would look like based on "the gospel according to SOS" lol and my interp of it all

Hay, if I had a heaven everyone in this thread would be there taking turns at the open mic :yes: sharing their interpretations and songs

and if I had a hell it would be where they would have to sit and read my long, "know it all" sounding posts lol ...

:angel:

sorry tho, really

I pray that God will wrap His loving Arms around Michael and all of his fans tonight, protect them from all harm and bless them greatly. Amen.:angel:

*Thanks to everyone here for allowing me to say that simple prayer on this thread. I just felt a need to do that tonight. Luv ya guys!*

Thank you for that sweet, kind and generous prayer MP :) Much appreciated :yes:

aw Linda. She was very real and very caring. She gave more than those who felt above her. She was honestly repentant of her sins. lol I know you were just kidding.. guess we all need prayers tonight. I really need some. I need to get over this concert and forget about it, and move on quickly because I have a busy life to live here and can't allow this to be slowing me down because I'm upset. So.. if any of you wouldn't mind saying a little mini prayer for that for me, I would really appreciate it. I need a better day tomorrow.

I think as time goes by it will be easier for Michael to have someone special in his life. Things will work out :)

Hmmm I think I arrived a little late for the prayer. lol! But I wrote something special for everyone to have an excellent day today and I hope you enjoy what I wrote. And I dedicated especially to Michael and his beautiful beloved family... that God bless you always!

"God that this prayer reach to all who are reading...
Forgive us for not often we hear the words you...
Teaches us to direct our lives so... we can make the right choices...
Works in our hearts... to get in trouble that often devastate... by not sure what they want to do...
Get all... trauma all fear... all bitterness... all envy and all that bullshit plot against our lives...
Make shine a light amid the darkness of our problems...
What reborn a new purpose and direction for all projects...
God... come to our aid and bring what you need... adds our faith and hope...
Free our souls of sin and not allow your hand to reach...
Extend Thy grace on us to... and never to leave without your presence...
God... that opponents see us in your reflected glory... and differ from...
Strengthens our nerves... not to upset with anything...
We can find strength to overcome the injustices it easy...
Prepare us to overcome obstacles and hope in the future...
Cover us with your blood... Amen!" :)

All this talk about Soulmates posted in this thread...Interesting~~~

Soulmate is a term sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, love, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, and/or compatibility. A related concept is that of the twin flame or twin soul – which is thought to be the ultimate soulmate, the one and only other half of one's soul, for which all souls are driven to find and join. However, not everyone who uses these terms intends them to carry such mystical connotations.
Theories
One theory of soulmates, presented by Aristophanes in Plato's Symposium, is that humans originally consisted of four arms, four legs, and a single head made of two faces, but Zeus feared their power and split them all in half, condemning them to spend their lives searching for the other half to complete them:
[Primeval man] could walk upright as men now do, backwards or forwards as he pleased, and he could also roll over and over at a great pace, turning on his four hands and four feet, eight in all, like tumblers going over and over with their legs in the air; this was when he wanted to run fast…Terrible was their might and strength, and the thoughts of their hearts were great, and they made an attack upon the gods... Doubt reigned in the celestial councils. Should they kill them and annihilate the race with thunderbolts, as they had done the giants, then there would be an end of the sacrifices and worship which men offered to them; but, on the other hand, the gods could not suffer their insolence to be unrestrained. At last, after a good deal of reflection, Zeus discovered a way. He said: 'Methinks I have a plan which will humble their pride and improve their manners; men shall continue to exist, but I will cut them in two and then they will be diminished in strength and increased in numbers; this will have the advantage of making them more profitable to us. They shall walk upright on two legs, and if they continue insolent and will not be quiet, I will split them again and they shall hop about on a single leg.'

—Aristophanes, Plato’s Symposium, [1]
Some people believe that souls are literally made and/or fated to be the mates of each other, or to play certain other important roles in each other's lives.

According to theories popularized by Theosophy and in a modified form by Edgar Cayce, God created androgynous souls, equally male and female. Later theories postulate that the souls split into separate genders, perhaps because they incurred karma while playing around on the Earth, or "separation from God". Over countless reincarnations, each half seeks the other. When all karmic debt is purged, the two will fuse back together and return to the ultimate.[2][3][4]

Wow! Thank you for your post. Very interesting. I had never read about it. Hmmm soul mate... talk to both about it: the person who completes us and our other half.

Ape, please say this little prayer over and over...it'll help you get through whatever Life has for you lately...

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Actually, Ape, you were one of the people I especially had in mind when I prayed that prayer. You know, I just have to say something: I am so sorry for everything that has happened over these concerts - how heartbreaking. My heart has really been aching for you guys, I couldn't even sleep right.

I have to confess, among my friends, that I had already been a little heartbroken myself because I was not able to go at all. Actually, this has all been a little hard on me. I guess I'm not someone who wears her heart on her sleeve, I tend to keep my feelings in a lot - I was taught you need to keep your feelings to yourself because nobody cares about your problems and whatever happens in your life, just buck up and be strong (who was the brilliant person who came up with that, lol?), I've secretly had such mixed feelings about all this, but I was happy seeing everyone else so happy. But this is not about me (sorry I went off on that little side trip). Fortunately, God is in the business of healing broken hearts; only He can do it really.

I pray that you and everyone else who has been affected will end up with an extra-special blessing. I pray that you will not be forgotten and that things will work out even better for you all in the end than if this had never happened. You all deserve that! We already know that all things work together for good for those who love God, which I know you do (love Him). This has been one of those moments that I've had to remind myself, once again, what I had said earlier, and that is: "Even though we don't understand it, the Father does all things well." I think this would serve as a good example of one of those times, lol!

Well, thank you all for letting me blubber on and on. We will now be returning to our regularly scheduled program ... (lol!)

p.s. I was thinking about you too, Linda, but not because you remind me of Mary Magdelene (although she did have some pretty good qualities as someone mentioned earlier, and if we're all being honest with ourselves, I think we all have to admit that we've lusted in our hearts at some point. Didn't even Jimmy Carter or someone say this? lol!).
