....Another installment in my "Soundtrack of Her Life" sub-thread. Now stop your groaning, you knew this one was coming!
Nice choice! But I think qeu is difficult to choose a song that respresente all the love we feel for Michael, because our love for him is endless and I think that no music could express this love with such perfection.
Ahhh...but remember Mr.Jackson is a "HUMAN BEING" just like the rest of us...Therefore, NONE of us including Mr.Jackson is NOT perfect, nor is he a SAINT...
Here's another one...from Anne Murray:
LYRICS:
I'm strong, I'm sure, I'm in control, a lady with a plan
Believing that life is a neat little package I hold in my hand
I've got it together, they call me "the girl who knows just what to say and do"
Still I fumble and fall, run into the wall, 'cause when it comes to you, I'm
CHORUS
Just another woman in love, a kid out of school
A fire out of control, just another fool
You touch me and I'm weak, I'm a feather in the wind
And I can't wait to feel you touching me again
With you I'm just another woman, just another woman in love
So pardon me if I should stare and tremble like a child
That "wanting you" look all over your face is driving me wild
I'm just what you make me, can't wait 'till you take me and set all my feelin's free
I know that you can, so come be my man, tonight I wanna be
CHORUS X 2 with FADE in middle of the second
Thanks for the video! It is such beautiful music. I like very much...
Ann Murray has always been one of my absolute all-time favorite female singers...
Yes, Michael is like us and is made of quality and defects. So the "chosen women" which is next to Michael, you have to love him with all its faults and qualities. Love him the way he is, without trying to change it. And nobody is perfect in this world. We must learn to live and adapt with the qualities and especially the defects of others. Michael is also people like us.
Yep! And let's be thankful that he's still playful too! I love this about him as well!Absolutely! Michael is like wine: the older the better it is! :wild: And your sensuality remains unshaken.
And yes, it is difficult 'out there'. This thread is a refuge from it all.it's going to take some diving and delving to really look through those lyrics i listed on page 203.
it won't be just the lyrics to take note of.
it will be many things.
it is just vastly important that you take note of the timing and when they were recorded...among other things.
happy unfolding!
and may you find the answers you are looking for - at least from "his" point of view. i'd LOVE to hear your "love stories" based off of the list information i have given you. take your time with this project. all good things take time.
but i know...the fun is in the continual suspense, drama, speculation, etc. not to mention talking with good friends about a very complex yet very simple person. we are, after all, only human. and i, too, love talking here. it's so difficult "out there".
Hi guys, here's Part II. Hope you have fun reading it. I'm still working on "Dangerous" and wanted to go ahead and post this part for now...
“Bad” Sessions (1986 – 1987)
After listening to the song titled “Streetwalker….” Well, ummmm ... We ain’t even gonna go there cuz….ummm, that’s like a little tooo hot for this Rated PG thread, okaaaayyy?! Sorry folks! Why…why…why can’t we go there with him?!! Why?! *sprawled out on floor throwing tantrum*
Okay, now that I’ve got that outta my system, we’re gonna move on to the other songs. This next lady...in this video...probably threw a tantrum for real once she got home. lol
After listening to “The Way You Make Me Feel,” which seems to be a lighter version of “Streetwalker,” it seems like MJ is done playing around with how he feels about the ladies. He is totally showing us his sexy side. His moment of first really giving his heart to someone is now about ten years behind him and it is really starting to look like he’s learned a lot along the way.
I’m not complaining though! Trust me! I really am not complaining at all! You know why I’m not complaining? It is because the further we move along, the sexier MJ gets! opcorn:
Do your thing, Mike! You got home girl on the run! And stay on her heels while she’s runnin’...in the video! lol

-The Way You Make Me Feel (Lyrics - http://www.allmichaeljackson.com/lyrics/thewayyoumakemefeel.html )
Well, I guess he TOLD HER!! Next time, she’ll think twice about walking by without acknowledging him. lol
And then, she just could not keep her hands, or lips, to herself. She had to have a love meltdown while working with MJ and he had to give her the boot. And look! She wasn’t even his chick!! But, she surrrre was working on it! What in the world?!
And now that we all have survived that little treat, let’s continue on to the next song. I think MJ’s toning things down some for this next lady. She must be another special one, so he’s going a little easy on her. Lucky for her, because he can be quite a tiger and he will pounce, as that other chick found out while making a video! Crazy girl wasn’t supposed to pounce back. Their relationship was strictly business! lol
Even though he’s going much easier on this next lady, because he really has feelings for her, perhaps, it seems like he’s pretty much telling her that he’d like to stay and fall in love, but if he has to leave, he can’t come back. I guess she better hurry and make up her mind, because at this point in his life, he’s building a major empire! He is using heavy machinery and everything!! He’s moving the earth! Gotta catch him while you can and the best time is when he is giving himself to you. If he takes off, he isn’t doubling back. It’s onward and upward. He was all about gaining serious altitude!

-Fly Away (Lyrics - http://www.allmichaeljackson.com/lyrics/flyaway.html )
Well, it doesn’t seem like she got him. He flew away and now he’s singing about a Liberian girl. Ms. Liberian girl sounds like she made a strong impact on him too, from listening to what MJ is saying in this next song. He’s saying she changed his world! You go, girl!! Show that man what it’s all about! I wonder what she did? Don’t you guys want to know too? lol
Whatever she did, she’s got him talking about marriage, and got him singing all luscious and things! This is a song to keep on repeat! And get this. He didn’t say, “Will you say I do?” he’s basically saying she must say I do, and he’ll smile and say it too! Well, it looks like someone is getting closer to becoming Mrs. Jackson! lol Do you think part of the reason why he started falling for her is because he likes the way she talks to him? Let's see. I think it's that and something else that is important to him.

-Liberian Girl (Lyrics - http://www.allmichaeljackson.com/lyrics/liberiangirl.html )
Oh-oh! She didn’t become Mrs. Jackson after all! This next song mentions MJ and another lady singing songs of yesterday! Well, I guess that would mean they are singing in English! Ahhh man! The Liberian girl was so, so close! Buuuut, I guess not close enough. MJ is following his heart again and it has led him somewhere else. One day…one day, someone will indeed become Mrs. Jackson. But, she’s about an album out. So, we’ll go ahead and listen to this next song to see what beautiful things MJ has to say to this next woman. It seems like he’s thinking about marrying her as well! Actually, he saying his life ain’t worth living if he can’t be with her.
Come on girlfriend! Come on. Do this! We’re rooting for you! I wonder who this special lady is? Oh well, it doesn’t matter. She seems to have inspired him to write a very beautiful song, so let’s give it a listen.
Oh, and to the female readers, enjoy the beginning. He sounds absolutely delicious!! No jokin’.

We are now at the end of the “Bad” era. MJ love himself some women, doesn't he?
When we get through the "Dangerous" era, we're going to start seeing a MJ that's starting to get fed up with some things. If you go to youtube and look at the official video for "Leave Me Alone," which is the last song on the "Bad" album, I think you will feel that the lies that were being written about MJ were having a negative impact on his love life. I think it is really cruel for men to interfere with the love life of another man. MJ wasn't doing anything wrong and he most certainly wasn't doing anything to those writers. All he was doing was living his life. Why couldn't they just leave him alone?
Thank God MJ's life is now on an upturn and that his love life is doing something wonderful as well. "Number Ones" on up to "Thriller 25" is revealing this. God is good.
Well, got more songs and lyrics to find...after I come up for some air for a while. Swimming the MJ ocean is no easy task, but I love listening to his music. Wow, he's good!
LOVE this song. It gets so easily stuck in my head. Very catchy tune. Feels like I wrote it myself.Let's throw another one into the mix...

:angel:Knowledge Is Growth
Hi queenie! Oh no! Not the aching of the head! Can't have that! LOLAllForMJ, I'm really enjoying your take on the songs from the earlier albums through Bad.
But...where's our gal?
So you're not thinkin' MJ has met this thread's lady friend yet based on what these songs so far are saying? You think he met her after age 30?
This is like throwin' me off. I thought it was ALL DECIDED *laughs* in here, that he and the lady friend went waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back...like more than 25 years. Don't be hurtin' my head now. I never thought you'd be mean to me like that.
Great to know you're having fun while reading it! Honey, you know I start trippin' sometimes!! LOL Y'all gotta pardon me when I get silly on ya! LOLI think if timeline were the only factor, it would have to be someone he met in ....... 1978? a few years before any 'dark' references ... I guess that's why MimaK says that we have to notice everything about the music...not just lyrics or anything...but kind of ....everything...
AllforMJ I'm enjoying your interpretations very much too and I LOVE the way you keep referring to MJ and "women"!! You' don't seem to be focusing on whether they are all literally different, seems you're assuming that for each song its a different gal as a way to present his possible thoughts at the time.... seemingly to make your point about how that man loves ... period! I love that....(or at least the way it seems to me) and you're so funny with your presentation of it all LOL!!
Speaking of 2004, I popped into the 'flirting' thread and it looks like 2004 is when he asked N.K. to accompany him to the MTV awards show bash? hmHoney, you know I start trippin' sometimes!! LOL Y'all gotta pardon me when I get silly on ya! LOL
You know what? If the women on camera are sprung on MJ, you can just imagine what the ones off camera are feeling. Those are the ones that MJ is pouring his true feelings into. The ones that we don't see, are the ones that are causing the different love sounds we hear. He sounds so good! Oh my goodness! Unfortunately, the chicks off camera are also the ones that he must be crying about as well.
Another thing we have to keep in mind is that he's written and recorded loads and loads of songs that we haven't heard and he keeps moving them around.
For example, MimiK is showing "Beautiful Girl" listed under the "Invincible" sessions, but MJ didn't release it until 2004. The songs that he left on "Invincible" are mainly sad songs, so I'm thinking MJ wasn't feeling very loved back then and he wasn't feeling like he was in love to the point of feeling happy about it. Whatever he left on "Invincible," that's how he was feeling.
Glad you're having fun reading. FYI, it's gonna get a little sad when we get to "Dangerous." The more heart broken he becomes on the following albums, the more we are going to hear his sadness coming into the music until his sadness stops.
Before it becomes sad though, we still have to talk about "In The Closet," because in that video that man was...OMG...sexy, sexy, sexy!
*drooling*
Wow! You're fast. I edited my post and you have already answered the other. Sooooooo, I think I should go back and re-edit the other so they match!!Speaking of 2004, I popped into the 'flirting' thread and it looks like 2004 is when he asked N.K. to accompany him to the MTV awards show bash? hm
Also, who's N.K.? Not familiar with the initials. Or am I and they're just going over my head? lol
Oh!! I know who you're talking about! It just hit me! You're talking about Nicole!

hm, yes ...and now...hm, if he released that song in 2004 and it is supposed to be somehow 'significant' to this whole 'dark' thingy (you've mentioned many times that he played it on Geraldo?) and at that same time, he asked some woman he never met (according to her) ... on a date ...
wait. ok, I get it. I guess its just as you keep repeating ...
MJ loves himself some women lol and why the heck wouldn't he ...
Maaan, that guy has been desired by women galore, as far back as he can remember probably. I'll bet for MJ, women are like a box of Godivas  Impossible to simply choose which one........and then.......... you bite into one, and it dang near knocks you out and you get excited just wondering what the next one's gonna be like.
Ok, its late, maybe that was a crude analogy but I can't imagine how it could not be like that for him. And so many beautiful ones too! Celebs, fans, professionals all around him! aw poor guy
Uh-huh. And the thing that is really beautiful about his love songs is he isn't taking that in-your-face approach. He leaves room for us to fill in the gaps wherever it is that we want to fill them in. I think that is another reason why his career hasn't played out. Mike puts just enough out here. Plus, even though the majority of his songs are about women, and his love for being intimate with women, he's not portraying us in a harsh way on stage or in his videos.Michael's consistant clues of continuing to reference a particular song from Ions past ( IJCSLY, A song he wrote and composed), and incorporating it into newer songs clearly indicates This lady is a return from his past- IJCSLY is a song about a committment of love and marriage to one woman. He confirms it with Liberian Girl ( I say confirm it with this song because it wasn't a single release but it to reference his wishes to be wed to a particular woman).
Speaking of which, did you know, IJCSLY was the first single release off the Bad album? Radio stations all over were frantically telling their listeners that the first single would be a FAST paced song, this went on for a couple of weeks, I think. Everyone and their mama wanted to hear the new Michael Jackson Music, we were all glued to the radio, then it happened. The radio DJ's came on air and said there had been a LAST MINUTE CHANGE from Michael Jackson himself, they didn't sound too happy to be playing a slow song, as a matter of fact a few didn't seem to like IJCSLY.
For whatever the reason, at the last minute, the first single release had changed and radio stations all over the world had to adjust to that change. Michael had spoken. And that was only the begininng. Anyone remember that? The first release, was suppose to be "Bad".
To me, this song is deeply personal to Michael. I don't think we really realize just how personal it is to him. And for him to continue to share it with us in more current songs speaks volume's if you are listening carefully.
This is the Era where he starts to feel more confident in opening up more about his personal life. He's not just singing love songs that someone elese writes for him, He's the creator of his creation. He's the composer of his composition, the singer of his song. And Love is the melody of their music.
