Wow, that was taken from the bottom of the trunk. "Can You Read My Mind" is beautiful. And as a kid I loved the films of "Superman". Thanks for the video.​
 
^ It sure did! But how can we talk about Michael and love and ignore dreams.. After all, I think we all dream of being this girl Michael is searching for, right? ;D

"Can you read my mind" is such a beautiful song! Yeah, I agree... this girl could sing something like that to Michael... And, after they meet each other and live happily ever after, she will gladly sing "Because you loved me".. :)

I think the difference lies in the age! As far as i know Michael was in he's twenties during OTW and in he's thirties during Bad. The way you aproach women can differ a lot for these two time periods in your life.

As you get more experienced in life you also get a little less shy, and that is why he's so "GIRL! I'm gonna bite ya" in the bad "era" and and a little more "hehe maybe I feel a little like biting ya" in the earlier "eras" :p
And to take it all a step further - when we get to the more recent albums we see an even more grown Michael. More laid back and more secure in himself. Take for example the video and lyrics for "Can't Stop Loving You". It's a third approach to this side of life now. Still flirty but now he's more like "Let's bite eachother baby" :lol: lol ok I'm trying to make that biting thing a red line through this but don't take it too serious :D

When we get to the "Dangerous" album you're gonna see how MJ is like, "Girl, give it UP!!! Give me the goodies now!!" LOL

Mike wasn't playin'! And it sounds like he wasn't with that being put in the dog house stuff. It sounds like when someone tried to do that to him, he was outty 5,000. He was just gone. Period. lol

Then, that big blazing lie came from nowhere and messed things up with him and his women. He starts going into a depression.

Around "Invincible" he's starting to shake off his depression. And, he's starting to think about the women again. He's trying to figure what the women want from him, at the same time, he's trying to make sure he's not getting played. It's breaking his heart to not have his women like he had them. They're playing hard to get and all that stuff.

But, there is an upside to all of this, because in the midst of all the anguish, he does find love and that's when his life starts turning around.

I will show you all just what I mean. I'm working on the "Bad" and "Dangerous" eras now. Mike is nothing like that lie that was told about him. He loves women too much to even think like that. Go read the lyrics for the song titled, "Trouble."

"Off The Wall" Sessions (1977-1978)

After listening to the songs on the “Off The Wall” album and reading the lyrics, it seems like MJ was just enjoying the fact that he was venturing out on his own. He had the freedom to go wherever he wanted to go with the music and his life. Overall, the music shows he was very much in a partying mood—like this was his coming out party. You can hear it in “Workin' Day And Night” and “Rock With You.” These are songs to get on the dance floor and move our body to. Especially, "Workin' Day And Night!!"

While paying closer attention to the love songs that he chose to sing for this album, I got the feeling that he was really starting to sing the love songs from experience. These songs were not about what some would call puppy love. It seems like the person that he had feelings for was very special to him—like he cared about her very much. It seems like they spent lots of quiet moments together just enjoying each other’s company. Like she was the type of person that he could just sit back and cuddle up with near the fire place or just spend time talking to. This person also knew how to bring out the side of him that most people do not get to see—the sensual side that is only shared by two.

With this album he became a little more open while singing about being with the ladies. In song, he was starting to show his sensual side as far as what he wanted, how to get it started and how long he wanted the moment to last. It also seems like this person that he was very close to was on his mind while singing “I Can’t Help It.” From the things that he is saying in this song, it is clear he is very much in love with her.

Now, after listening to, or reading the lyrics to, “I Can’t Help It,” it’s not hard to tell how he feels about his special lady. He is quite fond of her. He has fallen in love with her. But, if we listen to this next song, it is also clear that the romance is not going to last forever.

And then we get to the part where he has to face the reality that the romance with this lady is over. The romance is over, but the love for her is still there. It’s the love that he still feels for her that’s making it hard for him to record this next song which is about breakup.

"Thriller" Sessions (1981-1982)

Now, this is the part of the listed songs where things are starting to speed up and there’s a feel of the upward climb. As we all know, “Thriller” has been shattering many, many records and in the “Thriller” era, MJ’s life was now starting to move very, very fast. Things were going very well at the same time things were moving very fast. The pace wasn’t anything unusual to him because he wasn’t an up and coming star, he was already a pro. But, I’m going to try and keep this tied into the love songs only, as much as I can, because this is mainly a discussion about love and romance even though “Thriller” has several songs to hit the dance floor on. Mike knows how to get the party started. He is the life of the party!

With “Human Nature,” I guess it’s safe to say he was spending time in New York, but I’m not going to try and figure out how long or exactly where. But, if he’s looking out across the nighttime, he must have a panoramic view and may be staying in a building that is very tall—like he’s up on the 20th floor or higher.

New York is a fast paced and exciting city. It’s like he just wanted to get out there and enjoy some of the night life and meet the ladies. Why else would he stare? It’s to get their attention. Say hello without saying a word. He can be very enticing when he wants to be, and then of course, the cameras will be flashing and trying to catch the whole thing on film. I think those are the electric eyes. lol But hey, I could be wrong. It could just be a whole bunch of people staring at him at once because they can’t believe he’s there! lol

Also, since he cried while recording “She’s Out Of My Life” for the “Off The Wall” album, I’m assuming he’s trying to move on and meet someone new. He can’t let grass grow under his feet. He has to keep moving—go on up to the next level. His solo career is doing many wonder things, so he has much to be happy about. But, in the back of his mind are those memories of being intimate with the one he’s no longer with. Human nature is calling and this brings us to the next song to listen to.

While listening to “P.Y.T.” I’m getting a sense that he’s starting to make up his mind. He definitely wants to have some fun with the ladies! He knows what he wants. He knows he loves spending quality time with them. His ex is the reason why. Once he had entered the love and romance arena, he didn’t exactly want to turn back. But, since she’s no longer there, someone new had to take her place. He was starting to feel what some would call hot and bothered! Plus, the ladies were plentiful! lol

While listening to “Lady In My Life,” I hear a man that still thinks about long-lasting love and romance. He thinks about having someone special to be with through the years. Someone to grow old with. It is the ultimate form of love, romance and commitment. He isn’t against that idea at all. His life is deeply rooted in family. And he is a very romantic person that seems to envision his life being a certain way with a special someone.

From listening to “Lady In My Life,” there seems to be a special someone he is now spending time with. She seems to be the type of lady that is allowing him to show his passionate side again, even if their relationship did not lead to marriage.

Although I’ve been unable to pinpoint exactly what the word dark means to MJ, the song “Someone In The Dark” seems to show him wishing for a special friend that is not from the world that he’s been growing up in. We all know that he has never stopped wanting to do things that regular people do outside of the entertainment world. That’s not to say that he doesn’t enjoy being successful or isn’t happy with the things that he’s achieved, but there seems to be a longing to be a part of the world that he is actually from, or at least be able to have a close friendship with someone that is still there.

Although “Someone In The Dark” was used in a movie about someone coming from outer space, it seems like, to him, it could be about someone coming from the world outside of the world that he is in. He has been living in a world that is within a world. I’m sure we all can see that if we really think about it.

You know, I totally agree with you... There's no point in focus all your attention on the "perfect love" while life is passing you by. You have to live and try to be as happy as possible with waht life offer to you. But it doesn't mean we have to stop dreaming.

I do believe in soul mates, and I do believe there's someone wainting for each one of us out there, somewhere... I'm a romantic, what can I do?

I could leave it alone and go acting all serious and realistic through life, but I don't want to.

I prefer to belive in fantasies, dreams, fairy tales, perfect love...

Life is much more fun this way. :)

yes, it isn't an easy thing to conceive, of how to contact Michael Jackson outright, let's face it, its more than a simple notion, especially if she has always seen him as someone who is quickly whisked away by guards and those guards who would include anyone close around him, so what's she going to say to them, "um I'm the girl in Michael's songs" :lol: yeh riiiiiiiiiight ....or the timings of things being a factor too....no I don't imagine it to be a simple matter to go to him like many lucky ones who have the ability to suss out his every move, and who wants to do that to someone? and who has that kind of time? some people but not very many people "from the hood" :lol: let's face it. . . and if she's in a "hood" "on the other side of the world" .....forrrrrrrrrget it, lol :no:

True. Buuuuuttt, if God is the one that is controlling it, then it's not impossible for the two to be brought together, because God has the power to do anything He wishes. He has the power to control time and His timing is always precise.

Let's look at the timing and check out a couple of photos to see the difference in MJ.

This first photo was taken around the time that he had released "Invincible" which is an album that has many sad love songs. In this photo, MJ is being inducted into the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame." It seems like he would have a look of elation, but he doesn't. He looks like he has the blues. It was also during this same time period that he broke down crying during his Oxford speech.

Now, check out this next photo. It is a photo from the trial that took place in Santa Maria. Notice the huge difference in his body language. Look at how vibrant he looks. The CD that he had just put out was "Number Ones" and the newest song was "One More Chance."

During the time that he had released the "Number Ones" CD, he wasn't tied up with preparing for a major tour or anything like that. He had already finished filming the thing that Bashir called a documentary and MJ had already completed his rebuttal to that. He had also completed Private Home Movies. Aside from working on the video for "One More Chance," it seems like MJ was pretty much on some downtime.

From the way that MJ sounds in "One More Chance," it seems like it was during the downtime that God saw was the best time to bring in MJ's lady friend.

Now, all that stuff that MJ was put through is over and he is in the process of cranking up his 50 concerts in London. When he goes out to work on all the things that he has lined up, he's going out with love on his mind and a bunch of things off his plate that he's been wanting to resolve for years.

God is an awesome planner. God timed it perfectly.
