would anyone like to break down "who is it" with me?
here we've been talking about love songs..
continued in next post
well.. is it only me that feels like the "deeper" meening with he's texts are easy to see? the only thing to speculate about is who the songs a written for/about.
I Gave Her Money
I Gave Her Time
I Gave Her Everything
Inside One Heart Could Find
I Gave Her Passion
My Very Soul
I Gave Her Promises
And Secrets So Untold
--
Very obvious and nothing to break down here.
He gave her EVERYTHING he was able to give, and opened up to her like he never did to anyone else.
--
And She Promised Me Forever
And A Day We'd Live As One
We Made Our Vows
We'd Live A Life Anew
And She Promised Me In Secret
That She'd Love Me For All Time
It's A Promise So Untrue
Tell Me What Will I Do?
--
Sounds like they gave eachother some sort of marriage'ish vows, but in secret.
Maybe they just bought rings or other symbols of love and gave them to eachother.
When you love someone so deeply the big wedding doesent matter. Only thing that matters is you and your loved one, and the love that you will share forever.
And one day she broke that vow and Michael was devistated because he really believed in this vow and thought they where supposed to work things out even if things got a little harsh.

And It Doesn't Seem To Matter
And It Doesn't Seem Right
'Cause The Will Has Brought
No Fortune
Still I Cry Alone At Night
Don't You Judge Of My Composure
'Cause I'm Lying To Myself
And The Reason Why She Left Me
Did She Find In Someone Else?
--
Here he's talking about how he feel like SHE's feeling about this situation.
So basicly paste "to her" at the end of line 1,2 and 4.
Line 2 could also be that he's getting souspecious of the way she just doesent seem to care at all nomore. Like he's been the only one it REALLY mattered to the whole time.
The last part of this bridge is a little thougher imo..
I can imagine that Michael would loose he's temper now and the girl would use that against him like "you're always loosing your temper". And line 7 - he's not loosing he's temper because of her but because of himself. Because he's been lying to himself about her love for him. He's been failing himself because he wa blinded by the love he had for her. He wanted her to return it so bad and he wanted their love to be real more than anything. But in a way he always knew it deep inside, behind a wall of lying to himself, that she did'nt feel exactly like he did.
Last two lines are obvious..
--
(Who Is It?)
It Is A Friend Of Mine
(Who Is It?)
Is It My Brother!
(Who Is It?)
Somebody Hurt My Soul, Now
(Who Is It?)
I Can't Take This Stuff No More
--
Obvious
The "somebody" is the person "who is it".
It's like he's assuming that it's someone he knows, and maybe even someone very close to he's heart.
--
I Am The Damned
I Am The Dead
I Am The Agony Inside
The Dying Head
This Is Injustice
Woe Unto Thee
I Pray This Punishment
Would Have Mercy On Me
--
Here he's practically feeling sorry for himself and getting really "black inside".
I think we've all tried to feel something similar to this: Why is it always happening to me? Who put this curse on me? "This is injustice" And actually line 6 could be the words of the curse that he feel like someone must have put on him?
--
And It Doesn't Seem To Matter
>dadadadada..
Don't You Judge Of My Composure
'Cause I'm Bothered Everyday
And She Didn't Leave A Letter
She Just Up And Ran Away
--
Again he's telling her and really also himself and the rest of the world, that they shall leave him alone with he's temper because they could never understand how it is to be bothered with -all the things we know he's bothered with like tabloids, haters, not being able to go outside and live a normal life and the list conteniues-.
Last two lines are pretty obvious but could be maybe a clearly drawn picture of how she left him: She did'nt even care to end it in a proper way. She care not to give him a thank for what he gave to her. She care not to explain anything to him, and really - she care not to show him the last respect before she run away with her newfound love.

Well Michael.. if my analyze of this song is true - you're clearly better of without this "woman". I'm just saying..
