CNN says public viewing planned

ok i know this sounds weird but im excited.u know why BECAUSE ITS GOING TO BE THE MOST WATCHED IN THE HISTORY AS WELL AS HIS FUNERAL WILL BE AND MICHAEL LOVES MAKING HISTORY!!!.
WHERE GOING TO CELEBRATE THE KING,remember his physicality might be gone and yes it is gonig to be sad to see him like that BUT he lives in his music.NEVER FORGET THAT MICHAEL LIVES IN HIS MUSIC.thats how we keep him alive
 
I really want to go but i need someone to fly to LAX with me i'm coming from Michigan! AND I REALLY WANT TO GO! ALL I NEED IS FOR SOMEONE TO FLY TO LAX WITH ME!
 
so is there even going to be a memorial? i mean... the one like james brown's. why is this a public viewing. and have any of the family members come out and said anything?

i really need things confirmed since i'm flying in.
 
I have no desire to go. To me, the body they are going to display was just a shell that housed Michael's spirit which is indestructible and eternal. He is here now, closer to us than ever before. There is no point in looking at the shell.
 
I would sell my blood by the gallons right now to be able to get to Neverland and say by goodbyes. For all of those going to the view plz let MJ and the world how much his family here at MJJC love him and that we will never forget him for as long as we all live and breathe on this Earth.

Does anyone know if MJJC is send flowers out there? and if so I would be more than willing to donate some $ to help get the flowers or something.
 
Friends, a viewing isn't bad - it sounds bad, yes, but it really isn't.

When I had to see my grandmother at the mortuary, I was shaking and was really frightened at the anticipation - I didn't want to see her like that, but when I did a strange calm came over me. She looked very, very peaceful - almost more beautiful than when she was alive.. it was weird.

So I'm expecting the same here - he won't look terrible or anything like that, believe me, if you look at him at the viewing he'll look beautiful, at peace - and that, in turn will make you feel a little better.
 
I don't get it. When and where is the burian gonna be..?
 
You see.....if you have an open casket, then all the media will be focused on is what MJ looks like and the pics will be up for all to scrutinize.....God's know thats all they talked about in his life! Enough crap is being instigated by them, I don't wanna see them doing that to him!

I would like to help donate too. I'll do whatever I can. Can we put something together for us fans that are stuck at home?

They've done that to him all his life - his mug-shot, all stages of his plastic surgery.
I'm not saying it doesn't matter now that he's gone.
What I mean is that for the media, it is nothing new. They have ALWAYS shown disrespect and you can't stop it.

But there are PLENTY more people who genuinely want to see Michael for the very last time. And I think that outweighs the scummy media.
At the end of the day, a funeral/memorial/viewing is for the people who care.

Hopefully, they get this. It's hard for me to believe after seeing what the media has done and continue to do to MJ, they would make the call to show his dead body to them. I pray that's it's a closed casket.
 
First of all, you guys, I am sure Michael's mother knows how he feels about his appearance and how he is portrayed. And I would not be so sure that media is gonna be allowed to take pictures of Michael in the coffin. In fact, I don't think that media will even be allowed to bring their cameras into the main house. I believe that people are gonna be bused up to the MAIN HOUSE to see Michael and they will be checked by security and not allowed to snap pictures of him in the coffin. All they will be allowed to do is VIEW THE BODY AND PAY THEIR RESPECTS. The buses will rotate all day picking people up, bringing them up the road and taking them back down.

My uncle is a minister who officiates a lot of funerals and he told me that his body has got to be kept cold. And as hot as it is outside, I doubt if this viewing will be conducted outside. It will be in the main house. You will walk through, view and leave. And that way, Michael's security detail can assure that no one will snap a picture of him.

So I doubt that we will ever see any pics of him lying in a coffin. I can't see the family allowing this since they know how sensitive Michael was about his appearance and how the media likes to attack him in this area.

The Jacksons, along with Colony Capital, are in a position to control this thing as they see fit. No one should be allowed in the room with a camera on them. And security in the house should be tight.

And remember, there are very few pictures of Elvis in his coffin. James Brown's family obviously didn't care. But Michael does care and I think they are gonna protect him from scrutiny.

"very few" pictures of elvis... how is this a comfort? there are some and thats that. theres no way security can be mega tight with the amount of people that turn up. you sound like theyll be able to check through everyones belongings-- how will they have time for that with huge HUGE crowds

i hope this is what MJ wanted

Trust, it will be done. The powers that be are working overtime as we speak. If they have to they will recruit from surrounding cities and or states to get the job done. The security will be done properly and tight. They don't PLAY!!!

yes Michael always hated that that's why we don't like this we know how much he hated it...and I don't think he really thought he was going to die anytime soon

It's not the CONCEPT that some of us are having a problem with. We don't want the media gawking at him! He went through enough of that.

either say yes or no. i really hope its not true and we will have some days.. its so difficult to get a flight!
and saturday is my birthday -.-
 
Friday is pretty much MJ's wake, and sunday will be the actual funeral (for the family and I assume some of MJ's REAL friends).

I hope all these ppl that have been claiming to be his friend are forced to stand in line with the general public and view his body that way.
 
i just hope that he can rest in peace, whereever. i also don't like the idea of his body being transfered here and there...

for those who will be there, i wish you strength. i don't know whether i would have it.
 
Is this story on an open viewing at Neverland actually true. Is there any official Jackson family confirmation of this. Because all I've heard is that Michael's father has said no arrangments for a funeral etc have been made until after they receive the coroners report. And that the funeral will be private, with some public elements ?

Considering Michael hadn't been to never Neverland since 2005, and never wanted to go back there as he felt it had been violated by the police. Do you really think he would want to have had an open viewing there !

Of course, I have no way of knowing, but I would've thought he'd quite like the idea of being back at Hayvenhurst where his beloved mother is, almost as if he's going home.

Also, I understand that the will being filed by John Branca dates back to 2002, so MAYBE there was a wish stated by Michael in that will to be laid to rest at Neverland, because it was 3 years after that, in 2005, that he said he wasn't going back.

All this may become clear in due course.
