I really hope there won't be other fake songs on this CD.
if so,"Michael" :the album will be destroyed because of bad sales, bad reviews and for once I wouldn't care IWANT THE REAL MJ. I rather listen to Love never felt so good than this

Today I got several PM's asking me about any legal consequences. And it got me to think from a logical perspective.

The most famous case we know in the history is "Milli Vanilli" and their record company (Arista) has been sued several times under customer fraud protection act (in USA). They were made to pay from a few dollars to the full purchase price of the album to the customers/fans due to these lawsuits.

Of course we need to check the US state and even international laws for the details and how this laws applies on a location basis but the Milli Vanilli example basically demonstrates to us that they could be sued if they participated in such a fraud and be held financially responsible.

Then the question becomes would they do such thing? First of all, this brings a doubt on not only "Michael" album but any future release that will come from Sony - which means that they must be sabotaging their own deal with the estate that they paid $250M. Secondly with any legal consequences they are risking to refund all or part of the sales revenues.

It simply doesn't make sense that Sony would do something that could potentially hurt them more than $250M in the long run - the same is true for the estate.

(I know some people claim or would claim that "Evil Sony is destroying Michael" but actual evil attempt would require them to destroy Michael without destroying themselves otherwise it's plain stupid)

Also we know that from 3T's tweets it's not all of the songs that there's a doubt against - it's just Cascio tracks. Therefore in my opinion it would be much more easier, less messy and less risky to not include the Cascio tracks in the first place.

Then why did they include and release this song?

Perhaps for the controversy? Who knows? They got everyone talking about the song and the album didn't they? Does this work to their advantage or not? We'll see.

Again from a logical perspective I tend to think that even at a worse case scenario (meaning lawsuit(s)) , Sony has enough to prove that it's Michael's vocals. Of course I'm not saying that the vocals aren't enhanced and that there aren't supplemental vocals added- most probably all of those are done but from a logical and legal perspective Michael's vocals should be on the song.

Again this is a logical perspective without any musical comparisons.

Do you even realise what Sony is doing with our feelings? The fact is that this song has a fake voice? I don't want to hate. I hope sony is fooling with us and not putting this track on record. Thank god we don't have a tracklist yet.

I say we wait. That's all we can do, right? We wait and hope for the best, but if it is indeed an absolute fake (which my ears tells me it is) then we raise hell in Michael's name. He deserves better. We all do.

How do we get hold of Seth Riggs? There is no better person to ask than him surely?

I'm still not sure about this, it's just not RIGHT, something doesn't feel RIGHT about it.. The way some of the words are pronounced, the overall feel isn't really Michael.. Like, there would usually be a lot more "hehe"'s and "o0o0o"'s in the background (not the same one repeated over) in the way that only Michael can do. And the whole feel would be more smooth.

If it IS Michael - I'm gutted that they had to mess with it so much to make it sound almost like it ISN'T him! Shocking!

I did post a testy message earlier about Sony, but I have calmed down now and I feel that some people in this thread need to do the same thing. It's no good slagging each other off - nobody knows for certain WHAT is going on, in a couple of days or so I'm sure that this will all get sorted out.

I am disappointed though (but I do actually think the song is catchy and I like it).

but did Michael ever say something about the Malachi's track by himself? i remember back in 2007 only Raymone Bain has spoken about it that they're not MJs songs,nwill have to have a look for the old news.

Yes I do realize what Sony is doing to the fans feelings, but because of that we are hating on each other. Especially when people disagree with their opinions on whether the vocals are real or not.

i just dont get why u all think its NOT michael. yes, it sounds strange, no doubt. its not michaelish ot whatever, but maybe, just a possibility, they did something with his voice?! it makes no sense to release a fake!

Now that we have heard it and it is clearly fake, more people are saying its real!

No, I don't believe it is authentic. I think there might have been odd lines or words Michael sang then impersonators were brought in and a song was constructed from this. Disappointed and angry.

i agree with giselle, why is everybody with a different view attacked? I was attacked two days ago when i said is might!! be not michael... i really got nasty messages. now more of you see what i meant then, and still we take at each other

Remember that we are all Michael fans or we would not be here on the forum. We all want him back and we all love his music videos etc. so why if there is a discussion whether it is or it isnt michael on breaking news.

why not do it with LOve to eath oter. We are stronger if we do that, and whatever comes our way we could deal with it better in harmony.

I understand that emotions are running high but please do be polite and accept others if they have an other opinion there your own.

Vocals aside, the more I listen to this song, the more I think it's terrible. And I mean by the production of it. It sounds way too copy and pasted. It wasn't done properly. It never should have been worked on, yet alone released.

Most of the forum agree that this a fake song. Like all the other "fake" songs on youtube over the years, I could die right now

to all the mj fans… regarding the song "breaking news" i am so sorry you have to deal with this. my uncle loved you so much and would not want it this way. However there are songs that ARE my uncle singing on the upcoming album and I will support those 100% But I will not support "Breaking News" and a few others because it simply is not him. They tried to fool me and they tried to fool you. I told them it would never happen.

Well I believe with the demo Teddy was given, and since the passing of Michael, probably needed to over produce the vocals. Now all I can say is Michael is not here to do the final steps of this project, he is gone. I for one am satisfied, and excited for the album. Michael gave us so much already what more could I ask for?

:(It's not him. I always think I can recognise his vocals and feel instinctively the main vocals are not his.... They have sampled some of Michael's trademark sounds but thats about it....

I feel disappointed and cheated. At least be honest about it - we are not idiots!

Why do this when there is an abundance of material they could have let us have!!!

Even the lyrics are questionable..... I mean they just fit what happened to Michael a bit too well..............
