I tend to think that there are a few brief moments with the voice of Michael, but ... here is the great BUT - ?ven in the brief moments his voice is stifled and processed and that's why it's so strange. Well, people .... Here we are talking about amateur sound, lack of rhythm and emotion. I've heard enough of Michael's demos so I know how he sounds when he's not pushing himself to the top. This is just a mockery. I feel really sorry for all fans who can not feel the difference between the true voice of the King and some imitator.But even these people I understand.I think you just do not want to believe and you are looking for something to catch, because it's hard to figure out how someone will make fun of you in this absolutely ugly way... making you think it's the real deal.
Whatever the truth is, this album is already infamous. So much suspicion, mistrust and confusion Sony has created ... and it's unacceptable to drop something that half the world will wonder "is it Michael or not"?

But I rather hear an unfinished piece than somebody's voice added. On the Ultimate Collection you can hear lots of demos I am fine with that. But don't RAPE michaels work.sorry, it's true

Exactly. And if you are going to let other people sing the lead vocal or at the very least a big part of it, at least be honest about it and don't try to pass it off as a Michael Jackson song.

Everything would be good if Sony just replaced the Cascio songs with 4-5 new songs ... I mean Michael must have millions lol , I think we should create a list and send it to SONY.

I still can't imagine Michael singing Breaking News... the sound just doesn't fit the image... studio footage is probably the only thing that could make me firmly believe that's MJ

We haven't heard him sing an uptempo song in over a decade so there's really no way to tell. His voice is different on Invincible than it was on, say Dangerous or Bad, so how do we know?

That said, I think it's a mix. I lean against most of the lead being him.

The words "recently brought to completion" are pretty fishy.

I don't know...I think the only way we'll know for sure is if Teddy confirms it. I'd trust him.

By the way, I don't like the song that much. It sounds more for Britney Spears or Justin type of songs. I don't know I'm a bit angry, but.....

That's exactly what I thought when I first heard it last night.. It has that 'Boy Band' Harmony to it.

Not fully Michael Jackson.

I woke to the Hoda & Kathy Lee Show this morning & They actually said it *was* Michael J. Jackson.

I'm not saying all of them would be fake. But after this, many songs would be questionable.

You know Queen, did this too, with one of their songs, after Mercury died. using someones voice to complete the song. but in MJ case, this is not acceptable.

I believe this is a mix of some of Michael's trademark sounds mixed with something else. I know his voice would have matured but this was meant to have been recorded in 2007, same time as HMH. You can tell the difference immediatly between the vocals so no I do not believe this is him.

I began to question it immediatly when he kept repeating his own name. There is no way MJ would have done that and the vocals aren't him. Sigh this wouldn't be happening if he was here.

Does Rodney Jerkins have a twitter account? Someone should ask him why he is saving his songs or why they are intended for another project?

He said he didn't work on this album. I think it is possible it's for an Invincible 10th anniversary edition.

Amazing the amount of disagreement about whether it is Michael singing this song or not. Not once did I think it wasn't Michael singing. Now the background singing sounded "different" to me, and there were things done to the song that I don't recall hearing on his previously released music, but I chalked that up to the time lapse from his last album and changes Michael may have aimed for as time went on.

All in all, I like this song although it did tend to sound repetitive after a certain point.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree, each to his own.

I listened to the "acapella" version... it sounds like Michael to me. If this is the case then its Michael on the final version. If you listen carefully on the final version, you will realise that some of the vocals are quite rough and not very crisp. I think this points out that the vocals were taken from a rough edit (being the acapella version). If Sony has used an impostors voice, do you not think they would use a crisp, clear recording of their vocals? Why would they use a demo of some impostors voice? They wouldn't.

If michael's collab with Will.I.am would be on the Cd for certain then these Breaking news would not be on the album I think. It's like collecting the few things they have
