I know Michael can sing in a variaty of ways,like on 2000 Watts or Shout,but I still could tell it was him singing on those traks,the first time I heard them.This didn't happen with Breaking News.

I expected to be playing his new song all day today, enjoying it, and felling connected to him again. Yet again, we the fans are the ones left disappointed. All of this controversy sucks all of the joy out of the experience.

All of the name calling and juvenile behavior takes it down to nothing. This is such a disappointing day. And to take it from disappoitning to downright abominable, we have Katherine playing into Oprah's hands. How do you like them apples?

Disgusting. :(

We should bombard the estate and Sony Music wit angry e-mails. but that will not work to stop THIS song, jesus christ...

And Another thing. can you imagine the booklet with the song in it wich will say vovals by Michael Jackson but it's jason or someone else. Sony is lead by a bunch of morrons

How sad can this day be...

Woke up, ran to work to check the new song on the net.... and now this.

I hope $ony has a valid answer to that nightmare, cause today I can't forgive them. They turned what was suppose to be an exciting day into a massive hope crash.

We are floored when we should be flying.

I feel sorry for the fans and Mike's family and I'm embaressed too :(
And they are releasing real michael songs on the album so the difference will be even bigger
I will download the songs I like. That is it!

It isn't legal to put out a song with a fake voice...which is why this isn't fake.

Sony wouldn't risk being sued, there is at least enough MJ on that song to hold up in court. The morality of that is another issue, but i wish people would accept that MJ is on this record.

The big question is how much of MJ is on there and whether its enough for you personally.

When i first listened to this track, i thought it was Michael singing, but there are certain parts to the song where the vocals aren't as strong or clear as they could be. In 'Break of Dawn' on Invincible, for instance, there's a great strength to his vocals that it completely missing here. That doesn't mean it's not him of course, but it does make me less certain.

I do rather like the song though :)

we know nothing so far about this song and less about the album!
if just a few tracks on the album are from MJ i am satisfied.

I want to cancel my pre order too. I have to listen to all the songs before I buy the album, after the fake BN I don't trust sony and maybe there are other fake tracks on the album..sad!

In audio engineering you can't get something for nothing. When you remove frequencies you compress the sound, so a happy medium is all you've got, sadly. ...That, or recording the presenter with a better microphone/better placement in the room.

...Sorry, I tend to ramble with tech stuff.

But anyway I don't think filters for background noise would be to blame for the different-sounding vocals. It's more the effects and layering that would cause the lead to get drowned out. ...Perhaps it was intentional. Maybe MJ's vocal wasn't strong enough to be a lead without covering it in heavy harmonies.

But you know what? We've heard a streaming, compressed version so far. It's hard to judge how it'll be in proper quality. You hear people here talking in detail about the brightness and the frequency range being squashed as if from a stereo dub... You people really got all that from a flashplayer stream? Ridiculous.

Lets hear the album track before we analyse the mix too much.

Ok this is just at thought guys! Maybe SONY has released this "new" song with fake vocals on it and when the album is released we will get the "real" version! Maybe its a way to ensure that people wont copy the song from the site and leak it to other sites and then to keep the new album as secret at possible until december the 13th or 14th!

Remember guys it's just at thought I got!

I used to really apreciate Teddy Riley, and i'm not saying i dislike him now, but something ain't right. He keeps saying it's really MJ, but so many of us don't believe that for a second, and we have all the reasons for it.

WTF is going on, so many unanswered question, at the end of the day...it doesn't even make sense. Not even from $ony's point of view.

People I really think you should be angry at the way MJs vocals have been edited and the poor choice of song to release.
Not whether this is mj or not.
You can take any ones voice and completley change it so its unrecognisable so how can you say its not him!!!!! Because it dont sound like hime dont mean its not, if every song on the album is like this i can see your point but this might be like the 2000watts of this album??
I didnt think it was at first but weighinging evrythink up and listening to the acapella I begining to think it is.

dont know if someone allready said it...
about "Do you know (where your children are)" and "Another day"...
cause some says it is very different, or a "mix".

listen to it carefully. both snippets incl the same guitar, + akon (wanna be 2008). and this is looped. listen to it, then "delete" this when you listen, and you can imagine how it really sounds. no guitar on both snippets. and another day sounds like the leaked one. :)
do you know where your children are is such amazing. absolute wonderfull. a perfect song (ok, only a few seconds) to start the day. :punk:
