I like the song, its michael its illeagal for it not to be end of discussion so its different to what we have heard from him before ... maybe thats the point ?

we know nothing so far about this song and less about the album!
if just a few tracks on the album are from MJ i am satisfied.

I will hear the album first and then I`ll made my decision. Till then I don`t need this s**t.

People I really think you should be angry at the way MJs vocals have been edited and the poor choice of song to release.
Not whether this is mj or not.
You can take any ones voice and completley change it so its unrecognisable so how can you say its not him!!!!! Because it dont sound like hime dont mean its not, if every song on the album is like this i can see your point but this might be like the 2000watts of this album??
I didnt think it was at first but weighinging evrythink up and listening to the acapella I begining to think it is.

Yeah....maybe...all this is just so confusing..I hope there are more clear statements made soon..

Jesus, even the song 2000 watts is clearly Michael...

The vocals are not MJ going full blast but there is a lot of MJ in there. It doesn't compare in quality to other songs for the simple reason that he never completed the song, it was a poor quality audio track that Teddy worked on...mixing MJs guide vocal with other peoples vocals.

I hope this is not representative of the album, because even though I like this song I would like to hear tracks that were nearer completion.

The issue for me is why Sony picked this song as a track for the album when it was in such a poor unfinished state to begin with.

How many Cascio-produced fake tracks are going to be on this album?

You can bet if one of the Cascio tracks is a fake, then they all are.

I've heard some reports saying there are three Cascio songs on the new album, and others saying there are FIVE.

SONY NEED TO PULL ALL THE CASCIO TRACKS OFF THE ALBUM. Otherwise this release is going to be a laughing stock.

ok this is just at thought guys! Maybe sony has released this "new" song with fake vocals on it and when the album is released we will get the "real" version! Maybe its a way to ensure that people wont copy the song from the site and leak it to other sites and then to keep the new album as secret at possible until december the 13th or 14th!

Remember guys it's just at thought i got!

Do some of u ppl think that the sony exec's just tripped and fell into their success?? I mean, seriously, why would they tarinsh his name. it ridiculous to think that the ppl who stand to make a very substansial profit from his name would go out of their way to discredit it right before they release the album. As someone already wrote, the acappella on youtube is not the original one, it's just been (bad) cleaned with some software.

As Teddy Riley said on twitter, MJ's vocals are very processed.

So, to be sure 100% it's Michael singing, we should listen to the real demo / un-processed version of BN.

I think Teddy Riley worked on the already-processed version of the song.

Well, nice thought, but it doesn't work unfortunately, why release a fake song to keep the rest secret when all it does is discourage the potential buyer from buying the album.

That is not really marketing... They are suppose to Hype and Tease us with a great song so we ask for more.. and what's happening is the complete opposite. We are far from excited now.

Listening to the "acapella" version it sounds more like him on some bits & less on other parts! I feel like i am going round in circles! Maybe i'm best just looking forward to the songs that are in no question him & let what happens with breaking news happen. At least there are some real songs coming out.

I just listened to it like 10 times... i feel MJ in completely!!! its just a different style than what wer used to... Sony didnt have to release this song to us, its not even the single.. i think its an awesome song.. and like i said earlier we havent heard MJ sing in almost 10 yrs.. the man is always evolving and changing his style.. this does not surprise me.. plus he prob didnt put his best effort into this thinking it was not gonna be the version that would be released out to us.. ITS HIM!!! and to the people that are comparing it to TII.. TII was mostly play back. and u know it.. they used Dangerous and History tour to complete the vocals.. of course he sounded good in TII it was not really live.. this is MJ in breaking news... the fans really need to appreciate what were getting here. This is the same thing with the O2 announcement.. ppl thought it was too good to be true and didnt believe it was MJ. guess what IT WAS!!!!! and this is too!!

LOL! This is it had PLENTY of Live stuff. And no....the new single is not Michael. How can people even believe this...it's beyond me.

I don't know, in the morning I thought that nothing in this world can make me believe that this man is MJ. When I heard the first line of the lyrics my heart just bumped, then for a second I had a thought that it could be a duet as the voice is definitely not Michael's and Michael reffering to himself in the lyrics... it just sounds strange
Don't know why, but now I start to think that it's really him. Him, but with much weakened and inflected voice. Probably ad-libs at the end made me think so. They don't sound like MJ either, but there was something really Michaelish about them. Then I listened to Hold My Hand and you know what... I remember having exactly the same feeling in 2008: his voice sounded weaker, but the manner was so Michael's...
I'm still confused and not sure whether it's Mike or not...

As for myself, I was excited about this album and wasn't in the 'we won't buy the album' thing.. Fans don't want to destroy Michael's work, but for many of us, this is not Michael's work. I would have taken any arrangments with MJ's voice on it, but any arrangments with someone else's voice on it does not count in being faithful.

Hope you understand, just my pov. Oh and I too didn't believe the family when they said it wasn't MJ's voice, it thought it was weird...

People are turning so nasty!! The majority of those questionning the song are not part of a ' rabid cult of Sony haters'. Calling someone 'rabid' and a 'so-called fan' because they are questioning what they hear, is unacceptable.

In your eyes by being a fan are you supposed to accept everything thrown at you, and ignore your own opinion?? I for one know that Michael told us to question and investigate everything, not blindly believe everything. So if people have doubts, let them.

For the hundreth time people are not simply 'believing the family'.. the majority of us did not believe those reports. Now we have listened to the song for ourselves we are believing OUR OWN EARS, and are entitled to do that.

People are confused and everyone is getting frustrated, there is no need to turn on each other and call people names, just calm down.

I don't know what to think anymore. I will still buy the album whatever happens with this song, for Michael's sake. I don't want him in the bagain bin. If other people don't want to buy it, that's up to them. Not all the tracks are being questioned, I think there are 3 supposedly suspicious ones. Though we can obviously only comment about Breaking News.

I think everyone here would agree that we would rather hear raw demos of MJ then anything added. But, Sony are right to try to make this track appeal to the masses by producing it into a full track.

MJs unfinished demos, as great as they are for us, are not going to appeal to most people. Thrillers 100m sales are not made up of hardcore fans who snap up every demo and remix like us, its made up of the average person on the street who has no interest in the genius workings of MJ, that person just wants a catchy song.

Saying that, Sony has dropped the ball here because they have overproduced to such an extent that even the average guy on the street is going to question this.

Stupidity rather than any devious conspiracy is the cause of this.

I really don't know what to believe. Why would Sony release a fake song? There are tons and tons of unreleased Michael Jackson tunes, why do this? I've listened to it over and over again. The song is bizarre. It is reminiscent of MJ, but there is something off... I don't know if that means his vocals were heavily altered or it's an entirely different singer. There's something different about the vibrato. Like whoever this is can't pull it off quite the same. That signature MJ sound isn't quite right. I don't want to believe that it's not our Michael, but it really doesn't sound like him.

Some of it just doesn't sound like him, and i'm talking about music aswell as vocals. He would never record a chorus like that, i don't believe, he would never start a song banging on about his own name, it's just not him. Also lets take the bridge 2:40 - 2:44 the melody of the lyrics over those synth chords is very MJ, although the vocals don't sound like him much, then 2:44 - 2:49 are like not his style, it's the sort of line justin timberlake or someone rubbish would take, do you see what i mean. I'm betting MJ left this song in really really early stages.
