Well I thought I might bring out my own 'Michael Jackson' album - everyone's doing it!

I'm going to write some songs and steal a few others, record them in the shower and then whack on some 'owws' and 'hehes' off one of my old cds by that MJ guy, then do a really bad painting of Michael Jackson where he looks like he's constipated and has one eye smaller than the other and make that the album cover.

It'll be called 'Legacy' - who wants a copy of my new 'Michael Jackson' album! It's very 'Michael-esque'! :scratch:

I want a copy!!!!!!!!! If I can barely hear MJ, and you make the instrumentation very loud, I would love it more. Also, do not forget to get a number of people to tell me through publications that it is MJ, even though you have many outlets and websites where you can put an official statement yourself. Hurry up because I cannot wait. I do not care about integrity as a fan. I want something new.

I think so. That's why I did it today. It sends a message while they're still in meetings. If they get tons of pre-order cancellation requests at once, that message should get somewhere. You know, "The department that handles our online music sales is SWAMPED with cancel requests!..." I don't know what else to do. I've written about this all over, wrote to Sony, cancelled my order... I'm trying

Hey, Chocomarker: The whole point of the campaign would be Make a Statement, Set precedents!
Imagine it, it would be worlwide news, the kind of backup Michael needs.

Thousand, and thousand of fans cancelling their pre-orders together almost simultaneously. Sony going crazy.

Huge conflicting evidence there.

Teddy said he received the track in an unreleasable manner that had already been produced.

Tarryl said he was in the studio when it was recieved and it was just the acapella.

I'm waiting for the right moment to do it. If the sales drop a significant ammount at once then it make more of a statement.

EVERYONE WHO IS PLANNING ON CANCELLING AND HAS NOT DONE SO YET, HOLD IT OFF FOR A WHILE.

I'm sure we can sort something out here. We need to get a ton of fans in on this and set a time and day to do it.

Make sure you get the sound right - basically at the end of every word go 'AH!'. So, 'Everybody wanting a piece of 'Michael Jackson-AH!'.

Also, the album cover must truly look nothing like Michael Jackson - this is very important. The eyes MUST be squinty. :yes:

:hysterical: Oh it's funny, but so sad at the same time. I think it's best if you could make the cover look kinda like Jason Malachi, but that's just my opinion.

No one. What Taryll described is exactly what Riley was referring to. An acapella track is definitely not releaseable.
The only difference is that Taryll knew right away the acapella track was fake, and Riley claims it's real.

Uh, take it easy there. Wishing death upon someone (who may or may not even be involved in this situation, by the way) is absolutely uncalled for, and Michael would be the first person to tell you that.

After agonizing days over BN, I came to a clear conclusion (the same I had when I first heard the song at 12 am on Sunday). I don't need any audiologists, family or experts to tell me what's what cos my heart and my ears know. Btw, I also listened to the acapella version.

So...the lead vocals (those you hear in acapella version) are Michael's very rough demo, cut and pasted (that's why you hear the long pauses on the acapella version).
The other voice is the one enhancing the words Michael Jackson (hence the weird accent) and sings on chorus and backup vocals ("why is it strange...etc")- notice the weird accent on "cwazy" and "swange".

As Bobby Ewing is rumored to be credited as co-singer, voila, I think he's the guy (processed) singing these parts.

I assume the same is probably true with the other Cascio tracks.

why doesent everyone wait and see what happens before canceling ther orders... wait for the tracklist or a proper statement.. i just think everyone is jumping to conclusions.. and in all seriousness sony wont care if a few hundred people from sites like this cancel their album.. they are selling to the millions and the ammount of people that will cancel isnt a fraction to what it will sell... whether or not the song is fake i dont know and truthfully no one knows.. at 1st i thought it was an impersonator but the more i listen to it the more i can hear mj.. but im undecided.. i just think we should wait and see what happens.. cause some people on here really do sound like 3 year olds. x

^ You could always re-order later. I originally was going to wait for a statement from Sony, but after seeing the sad PR-driven articles from RF and on HuffPost I couldn't wait any longer. If they're in meetings today, now was the time to tell them I'm not standing for this. If they remove the Cascio tracks, I'll buy the album no prob. Anyway, just my opinion.

I know. It's like me painting a picture and convincing the world that it was painted by Picasso. As if people who are aware of his work and his style are going to fall for it. And it's getting on my nerves when fans try to make us feel guilty because we're angry about it. You put an impersonator on a track and try to pass him off as Michael, and put him on an album that is considered a MICHAEL JACKSON album, and we, who WANT to protect his legacy and keep his legacy alive, we are the ones who are expected to sit there and do nothing about it? I have a right to be pissed off about this. I'm tired of Michael getting screwed over, and it's ONLY Michael that they would dare do this with. No one else. JUST MICHAEL. My anger is justified. It's HIS legacy that suffers. If any of these cascio songs are bad songs in any way, MICHAEL is the one that's going to get the blame for it. MICHAEL is the man that's going to get crap for it. Can you imagine the trash that Michael would get for "his" voice sounding weak and struggling to hit notes because an impersonator is putting more effort into trying to sound like Michael then he is in singing the song well? How is it fair to Michael that he gets criticised for someone else's vocals?

:clapping: Darn, where's that "thank you" button when it's needed? This is exactly how I feel. How can they do this to Michael, to his legacy?! It's shocking. They couldn't get away with this on an Elvis or Beatles album, could they? I mean, you can put other vocals on a special album of incomplete material, if you're upfront about what it is you're selling. But trying to pass this off as MJ on the lead? I thought it was a JOKE at first. They're not making a farce out of Michael Jackson if I can have anything to do with it! :no: I want the album to succeed, I want Michael to be #1 again! But I can't tolerate an album with fake vocals attributed to him! uke:

They think if they drop buying the album it would hurt sony/estate. but in all honesty its only hurting Michael because there will no doubt be finished songs on the album. Michael/ his legacy will be hurt by fans being ahead of the gun..... I am waiting it out.

It doesn't hurt to cancel preorders at this time in order to demonstrate our annoyance. People can just re-order if Sony sorts the album out.

She did a good job breaking down the lyrics to who she thinks sang what. Her quote below is very interesting.

Either 'Breaking News' was Sony's test run to see if they can pass Malachi's vocals as Michael's or Sony is pulling an 'Invinvible' on the new album. If the new album flunks, Estate will hurt, having to sell Mijac and Sony/ATV and guess who got the first dibs in the purchase? SONY
