Are you a native English speaker?

Well, people that are not native to English usually have to learn English and some of them are able to learn (or should try at least) the different pronunciation.

You can completely change your general pronunciation of words if you learn that. Some people have speaking abilities that you would be scared of. Michael is very talented as a singer. His voice can adopt many different styles. So you can't apply your "it's the way it's pronounced" theory because it's scientifically proved that people can change the pronunciation of words completely.

Go to a university and ask a linguist on this matter.

I am a linguist. I speak several different languages from different language families and some dialects. In all modesty I have abilities to change my accents and intonations. It's all a question of frequencies. Every language has its own frequency. For example American English and British English are on complete two different frequencies.

Now, regarding Michael's voice and song, I am sorry to disappoint you, but I really have difficulties to recognize Michael's range of frequency in "Breaking News".

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

My goodness, this thread moves like the wind. I am so far behind!

Michael could sing the alphabet.......actually sorry, speak the alphabet and it would better than th fake tracks, lol.
:clapping: Totally!!!!

Also, I think that is not fair that some older forum members belittle new ones or members with small amonut of posts only because some of us have different opinion regarding BN song. I'll repeat what I wrote in other topic... The sound of each individual's voice is completely unique just like fingeprints. Hearing is very subjective but with objective, scientific procedure forensic musicologist can prove that certain voice is product of certain person.
Like the waveform analysis mentioned in the Huffington Post article? If that's the state of the art in voiceprint analysis then I've got to give that expert an EPIC FAIL AWARD. I could tell (as most of us could) from the FIRST WORD that this voice is NOT the voice of Michael Jackson. Wrong tone, wrong vibrato, wrong pronunciation. It's a strained and forced attempt at sounding like him. It's like replacing my husband with some guy off the street whose voice supposedly "matches" his. Ain't gonna work! Methods can be flawed. Mistakes can be made. Experts can be wrong. And they can also be bought. And what is the accuracy of an analysis when someone is singing in their unnatural voice? Voiceprints are usually done with speech, aren't they? Not grunting voice impersonations, that's pretty certain. This is all highly suspect. No expert on this planet could convince me that the impersonator guy singing the lead on those tracks is purely Michael Jackson. It's just laughable. This reminds me a lot of the E'Casanova photo that ended up on the monument at 2300 Jackson St in Gary. If it kinda looks like Michael, good enough. Oh gawd, this is a nightmare.

Edit: OOoo, just saw Cory Rooney's FB updates. Preach on, Cory! You know.

is the most coherent, believable theory so far

the only fun in this whole saga will be trying to work out which mj songs the 'clips' of mj are from...shudnt be toooo hard lol

haha yeah, its already been worked out by some people that some bits have been taken from You Rock My World and On The Line!

Not only have we figured out that it isnt MJ and that some bits are sampled from other songs, we have figured out which songs the samples are from!

And they thought they could fool is into thinking this was MJ's voice, who were they kidding?!

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Sounds SPOT ON to me.

This track is 100% fake, the bits you hear of Michael are just taken from other songs.

I'd love to know who erased the vocals.......what a complete and utter spanner...

What Cory is saying is exactly what I instinctively thought.

As for the last bit, if the original vocals WERE erased it was so that they couldn't be used to illustrate what a crock of shit this fake ass track is, not to make space on some hard drive. Nobody in their right mind would erase an answerphone message from Michael Jackson, much less in-studio recordings!

The bolded says it all for me. Teddy got the vocals originally produced, and he cannot say about the validity of the songs. He directs us to the Cascios.

Yep. He is saying a lot without saying much. He's bound by the old confidentiality agreement he signed.

I don´t know what to think if it is fake or not, but I feel there is a Michael on the track and I can´t stop listen to it. I think it is really good and it is actually better than several tracks on the Invincible album if not the voice then the melody. The falsetto voice, the drum beat and not to mention the synth which sounds like the same synth that is used in Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games.

i thought that the first time i heard it and also felt in the same listening that it sounded slightly similar to 'my prerogative' by bobby brown

Me too! (but I only really know the Britney cover rather than the original)

EDIT: apparently I had an old page of this thread open, and I realise we're talking about other things...sorry!

On a separate note- on that 'acapella' track, you can hear where things have been cut and placed in because they're so jarring to listen to. On one word, they seem to use two different tracks.

The thing I find hard to believe is that someones erased the vocals.

It only takes 2 minutes to transfer the files to another hard drive, and what could possibly be so important that someone would have to erase Michael Jackson vocals to make room for it on a hard drive?

The rest of what he said makes a lot of sense.

This sounds EXACTLY right.

Teddy Riley is not to blame as such. He didn't produce the vocals. Mereley took the vocals/acapella as a remixer would and made a production to go with the vocals.

So, WHAT did the cascio's have in the first place of this song???
I think, NOTHING.
Honestly, maybe, a FEW words of Michael humming or ad-libbing. etc.
I believe they wrote the whole lyrics, got someone to sing the main parts/bg vocals. Then pasted in the "ah's" etc and a few he-he-hee's from REAL mj acapella's, weaved them in and out of the song, to make it more convincing.

I don't think the guy actually believes someone erased the vocals to make space on the hard-drive - he's saying that's what was originally claimed and 'as if' anyone would do that. That was my interpretation anyway.

Ah yeah, I think your probably right and I just read it wrong.

Ok, now everything he said makes complete sense.

^ Yeah - I think they just made that up - they didn't have any vocals to begin with! Just pretended they did but lost them.

Yes yes yes! :clapping: I feel relieved that at least a few of us are on the same page here.

What can we do to stop this shit from ending up on the album?

I suggested everybody who had made a pre-order and was planning on cancelling it should cancel it at the same time as everyone else.

Like one day we should all just cancel our pre-orders and it would make a big statement.

That 2 or 3 million that they have supposedly sold in 3 days would signifacantly drop.

I have stayed away from most of these threads past few days cus' of the sheer amount of shit thats going on here, but yes, there are some people here that are thinking on teh same wavelegnth! ;)

That's a brilliant idea.

It's gonna take a big organization, but I'm sure it can be achieved. In the name of MJ.

Yes, don't worry. Your comments have been saving my sanity all along! As I read them my blood pressure gets to subside for a few seconds!

this thread has way too many posts

the moderators need to stop deleting new threads and allow the creation of more specific threads.

people are getting confused with this one giant thread that covers way too much information

I am confused here. Is someone saying that Michael's voice was erased? It sounds to me that even if Michael wrote or sang some of it, this song was in bad shape to begin with. This not something that should be on a Michael Jackson album. Especially if it's not 100% Michael and also if it's not done with the integrity that Michael would have done. Just because he isn't here people should try to achieve the standards he set.

I think people do agree that you can hear a little bit of Michael but that is not enough. It's either all him or nothing. That's how I feel.

I had said in the thread I made on this, that it should be done as soon as Sony make a statement. I'm pretty sure they will make some sort of statement.

Obviously if the statement says they will remove the questionable songs from the album then there will be no need to boycott.

But if they continue to say they are MJ's vocals in the statement, and the songs will still be on the album. I say everyone who wants to cancel their pre-order should do so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE following the statement!

Like literally, if you read the statement and it says they are keeping the songs on then go and cancel your pre-order right away! If thats what you want to do. I'm not trying to force people to cancel there pre-order as I have been accussed off today.

Im merely saying, if your planning on cancelling it, do so as soon as possible after the statement is released!

There is only one thing that makes me feel that it is MJ singing and it is this....

The way that he is singing the bridge in "Breaking News" sounds very, very similar to the way that he is singing the bridge in "Xscape."

It sounds like it is him.

do you think that cant be done?

hope there gonna be more threads because this is really confusing one big one with more different lines and stories..

I just cancelled mine a couple of hours ago. And I wrote to them as well yesterday, twice.

I would suggest everyone cancels their order NOW, though, because the decision on the Cascio tracks is going down right NOW. Smooth says they're in meetings yesterday and today. If everyone waits any longer it could be too late. They have to finalize the tracklist this week or something, right?

Oh cheesus, Sony! Take the Cascio tracks off!

P.S. Before the 'boycott police' freak out... I own multiple copies of every MJ and Jacksons album, I saw TII six times in the theater and own the soundtrack and the DVD. I don't generally boycott anything and I've always loved since Thriller making MJ #1, as he deserves to be! But I will NOT pay for tracks with fake lead vocals! I will not go for deception like this! I will not condone that BS by supporting it. I can't imagine how Michael would feel about this mess. He would be PISSSSSSSSSSSSED, you can bet on it. Lies, imposters, cheating his fans. It's twisted.

This is a good idea, assuming they make a statement... I have a feeling it will say 'Blah blah very troubled by the concerns blah blah thorough investigation blah blah forensic musicbollocksogists blah blah pleased to announce that the tracks are 100% Michael Jackson blah blah lie lie lie' :puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:

We should start the campaign now.
Start a new thread with this idea, set it as Sticky post, and close it so nobody can argue. Whoever wants to follow it can do it, whoever doesn't want to won't follow it. It's as simple as that.
And do the same in every big MJ forum as possible.

Freedom of Speech and Democracy are still valid, right?

WHAT? This whole mess... >>> PR STUNT??? :wtf: Nooooooooo!!!!

If it was a big disaster and I do not see it as being something intelligent, but as a big stupidity. :bugeyed

It's just my opinion... :fear:

Yeah, scrap what I just said, if the decision is being made by Friday when the album tracks so-say have to be finalised, now is the time to cancel pre-orders. I didn't even make a pre-order, that's how much faith I have in Sony.

PLEASE MICHAEL HAUNT THE BASTARDS IN THEIR SONY BOARDROOM - THEY HOLD YOUR LEGACY IN THIER GREEDY LITTLE HANDS!
