I think because people are doubting their own judgement due to the majority of people not believing its him. Even if this didn't affect what you thought, your enjoyment still wouldn't be what it should be because as a fan, you want the majority of other fans to share the enjoyment with you.

well..again, if that were the case, i shouldn't be enjoying Invincible. i saw so many negative things said about it, but i enjoyed it, as if everybody was enjoying it, anyway, cus of what it does for me, personally, and i am a fan. but people don't have to agree with me. i understand where ur coming from, but nobody can take my joy..it's sorta like the controversy over lip synching. nobody can keep me from thinking MJ sang on HISTory..but sometimes, i tend to see i'm on an island. so what. i don't care. my joy is my joy.

later on, incidentally, more and more people started to say positive things about Invincible.

a community of fans is still a community of individuals. nobody should be able to take away another individual's joy, no matter what.

but i do understand ur sense of a need for community.

I dont think so at all. Certainly not in my case. I had totally brushed off the idea that it was going to end up being fake, I wasnt even considering that it was going to end up being MJ........

I am not talking about all the fans but those who are more easily influenced for example by the family's statements. If they hadn't heard any word of doubt before they heard BN, they maybe wouldn't have thought it was fake. But because there were these doubts by the family that the song is fake, even if they (fans) first didn't believe it, after listening the song they started to, since the family had said so.

Anyway, I'm going to sleep now. This thread got me staying up again for way too long.

It's NOT just you...Someone posted almost the same thing as you last night, so I listened again...There is something definitely changed about the vocals now...I think a new track has been posted on mj.com....I even listened REALLY REALLY closely to the way he sings 'Michael Jackson'....and he actually sounds more like how Mike would pronounce his own name...it's not so exaggerated anymore...I just want to keep an open mind about it...

I have to agree. The more I listen to it, the more it sounds like Michael to me, byt still yet not completely Michael.

The cascio tracks do sound different does that mean ther fake you can change any

The first of the Cascio tracks to be released –”Breaking News”–obviously isn’t a perfect realization of Michael Jackson’s abilities. Receiving the most critical attention are Jackson’s vocals, the veracity of which even some family and fans are questioning.
There are understandable reasons for this. This certainly isn’t a “typical” Jackson recording: there weren’t extensive warm ups with longtime vocal coach Seth Riggs, no layering and polishing by Jackson himself, no Bruce Swedien and world-class studio technology to capture the original vocal.

This was a guide demo, supplemented by the supporting vocals of James Porte (for which he is credited).

It was also specifically verified that the vocals did not belong to well-known Jackson impersonator, Jason Malachi.

I would compare this situation with identical twins

when you first meet them and dnt know them too well u cnt tell the difference right? they look the same or pretty identical

Then you get to know them

They have different personalities and expressions and physical differences (little ones)

One day when you know these twins REALLY well they are your best friends by now, you cannot believe you once thought these things...they are so different

they are unique

they may try and wear the same clothes but it doesnt fool you anymore

you know what you can see

just like we know what we can hear

Are you a native English speaker?


Well, people that are not native to English usually have to learn English and some of them are able to learn (or should try at least) the different pronunciation.

You can completely change your general pronunciation of words if you learn that. Some people have speaking abilities that you would be scared of. Michael is very talented as a singer. His voice can adopt many different styles. So you can't apply your "it's the way it's pronounced" theory because it's scientifically proved that people can change the pronunciation of words completely.

Go to a university and ask a linguist on this matter.

Why would he decide to do that though just for this recording session though.....

I don't think anyone believes that is is 100% fake. To me it sounds like just the verses are someone else.
What if this is a ploy to stir up publicity and they are going to replace a little bit of the imposter vocals each day with Michael vocals until the album release. By the time it is released it will be all Michael and we will all think that we have gone mad!

Didn't T. Riley say something about being patient and waiting and all would be revealed or something like that? I wonder what he meant....

THIS!! This is what I've been thinking too...I think they are slowly replacing replacing the imposter vocals with MORE Michael vocals...hence, why the track sounds different to me, and several other people who have listened again...I think it's the publicity stunt, and I agree with what you said about Teddy...

The more I listen to BN, the more it sounds like Michael, but a processed Michael, some where there in the track we have Michael singing, and to me that's what counts. There's many tracks by other artists (ie JT) where they have messed with pitch and other effects, and we haven't questioned the artists authenticity.

Looking forward to the album next month! But I do know if 'DYKWYCA' is released it will sell into the millions and millions, the best track by Michael since the 80's by far.

IMO I do think you hit the nail on the head... It is Michael and it isn't! In the main part of the track, the structure if you like, Michael is singing. IMO the A capella is all Michael... but in the "finishing" with TR, layering, backing vocal and effects were added to make the song more commercial, more complete. And this is where the confusion lies... IMO of course lol.

Who is the boogieman you thinkin' of - he always said who is Jack the Ripper.

And his relation to the media is not new. I think the song is very much MJ, only the vocals are not. - Or should I say, maybe not.

To be honest here I didn't even pay that much attention to what the family said before the track was released, because I thought Sony giving us a Michael Jackson song sung by someone else just sounded so absurd and out of this world. Regardless what they said I was waiting and expecting to hear a full Michael Jackson song, but as soon as the singing started in BN I could hear that is not Michael, with my own ears.

I have never thought it's 100% fake, but it's not 100% Michael either and that gives me a reason enough to call it a fake.

I actually think the entire song is fake........Michael is in there but the parts in which we hear Michael are taken from other songs.

So while Michael is in there, I think the song is 100% fake.

that was what i heard the first time

i heard the rock my world type beats in the first few secs

b4 it was up fully up i doubted the 'OW' we had to go on, but didnt want to feel paranoid
