Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

So you're saying since Michael is dead, we just have to take his fake voice as it is?????

No, but please can you tell me how you can get it managed to get a new song by MJ with everything perfect when he isn't alive anymore? How's that supposed to work? This is just not possible!!! So, all I'm tryin to say is - either you want something new by him and are satisfied with what you get cuz there's no other way to it or you just don't want anything new and are happy the way it is right now and always has been - but unfortunately (in your case) there is something new comin out so I'd especially say to you that you shouldn't buy the new album! ;)

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Okey guys I just wanna post my own opinion about the `Breaking News` things after waiting some days after the release of the song.
I've been listening to this song since it was released and I really think it's a great track. It has a great rhythm and it's really MJ's style.
As for the song. You guys say it's fake. Can you prove it's fake? What happened to the `I don't need to prove that I'm innocent, they need to prove that I'm guilty?`.How can you be so sure that the vocals are not of MJ?
Remember this, how would have 2000 watts impacted the fans if it was released AFTER his death.Would you really think it was Michael?
Beside this, why would Sony do such a thing?Don't they have Michael's whole catalog?Don't they have 50+ unreleased songs? Why would they risk so much for only a fake song?Don't you think that's irrational?
Maybe he was trying some new vocal styles, maybe he was trying some effects or the acapella of the song was in horrible condition.
Just think about it,why would Sony buy the Cascio tracks if they weren't genuine?
And moreover, why do you accuse only Sony when the estate has a part of it's fault on selecting the tracks?

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Also, I'm a professional DJ...

Then you should well know what can be made with one's voice with studio technology.

Michael WANTED to sound different on "Breaking News".

Many fans are just shocked and can't understand the artist. Michael did NOT record songs for his fans, he recorded them for himself at first as every artist does.

So WTF is wrong with "Breaking News"?

Have you ever heard Michael using such technologies?
The answer is NO. Because you weren't with him in the studio.

I agree with all of this but im so damn confused about this whole thing i honestly dont know what to do,say,or think about this whole thing!

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Did Teddy Riley not use the language "100% Michael Jackson" someone please look it up for me as I am at work. But I recall him saying "100%". Now they admit to using this James Porte guy. That's not 100%.

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Breaking News hasn't even been registered through BMI. If somebody can find it, let me know. I sure can't.

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Prove it. Now I want you to prove that vocals are false.

From the start you have flooded here with hate mail to Sony and the Estate. You have stated categorically that the vocals are fake. This is no longer mere opinion.

We are all waiting.

At the same time, prove otherwise. Article clippings and testimony of those being paid to work on this album will only get you so far. Anywho, after listening to the song a lot more, I've since changed my stance on this whole situation. I'm indifferent, as of right now, no one can prove it's Michael's voice, and no one can prove it isn't. So until the actual proof comes out, I'm going to listen to the guidance of Michael and not judge things until all the truth is revealed.

So as of right now, it's a great song, sung by a great person. :D

I'm the same as you,and I really mean very confused.I have mixed feelings because of the song.It doesn't sound like Michael, but for any rational reason I can't understand why it shouldn't be Michael.
I'm just thinking, what would happen to the fans who say it's not him if it's announced that it's really his voice?

As for the song,if it's MJ for sure I don't think it should be removed. It has a great feeling and it's very radio friendly especially for this era.It sounds very fresh!

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Because that was just my source's opinion... that's what he has heard. But the only people who know the truth are the Cascio's. That's why I said it's likely that there is another person singing in Breaking News (based on my own ears). There are many people at Sony who believe it's MJ 100% with some supporting vocals from that guy mentioned in the article this morning. Maybe that's the case? I'm just not going to get all worked up until I hear more info.
i'm in shock right now...you said that comes straight from sony right?who changed your mind and why????

none of us were in the studio with MJ. so how do u and i know what MJ 'wanted'?

I am just waiting for them to reveal this as a big joke.

Some parts of the song actually make me cringe at the fact its such a bad attempt to pass someone off as Michael.

I'm still hoping for it to be a publicity stunt and its not really going to be on the album.

They have admitted the use of James Porte (whoever he is..)? :scratch:This thread moves so fast I have no idea what has been said during the day..

Korgnex, please don't spray false information all around.
I've taken some valuable minutes off my time to explain, detailedly, how can technology be or not bet used.
I encourage you to read further before commenting about this subject.

I don't want to open a new thread for this... but I feel like I should do that, since people only seem to read the last page of the thread, skipping important things.

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

If sony believes it's Michael, perhaps they should listen to those jason Malachi songs on youtube. same voice. Morons

I was amongst the first to report about the Jason Malachi crap some years ago.

"Breaking News" sounds NOTHING like Jason's music.

Comparing "Breaking News" with any Jason Malachi tune just shows me that you guys seem to have forgotten that there's lot of modern studio technology that Michael has been used. Not only on "Breaking News". Similiar filters were applied to "Shout" and "2000 Watts".

However these tunes didn't get much attention from the general public and from the fans as at the time when they were released there were 15 other new songs by Michael, the internet didn't have that impact on people's opinions as of today.

There have been lots of threads about "2000 Watts" and "Shout" in recent years though. On all the MJ forums.

Claiming things like "everybody knew it was MJ on '2000 Watts' or 'Shout' when listening to it the first time" are FALSE.

The situation with "Breaking News" is that it's the FIRST song we hear after a long wait. And the majority of the fans did NOT expect sth like that at all.

Well, now we have all these ridiculous conspiracy theories against. The same way they started when MJ died so untimely, the same way when "This Is It" (the movie) was released and fans were analyzing and criticizing the sound editing ("it's not live" etc.)...

Has BN only been played 246 times on radio Worldwide for an audience of 2.2 million people? That's not very much.

The new song has been discussed heavilly on Danish TV - if it is MJ or not. The new album does get a lot of free promotion, but this can't be good PR in any way I'm affraid.

You know what guys, let's be POSITIVE here:

Breaking News is a forgettable song. So that's in our favor.

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

I would kindly confess that I was wrong and go on to enjoy this album with everyone else :)!

Believe me I wish it was a publicity stunt, I am not certain.
But Most of the Jackson family has heard the album with the fake ones so the intention must be really to include breaking news,... I don't know

Re: "Breaking News" Fake Song Talk Here Including Poll

They probably felt that ppl (meaning the main stream public, not us, the fans) expect there to be all the woo's and hee hee's in a michael song. But he doesn't really give them to a record on the demos, usually only in the final recording. So they had to add em to keep the masses quite. Lame, i know, but u can kinda see their point there. I hear quite a few hee hee's and woo hoo's on previous, definite michael songs, that sound like they have just been sampled from previous songs. And there is that bit at the end of speechless that blatantly sampled and alterted from the end of YANA.

what i don't appreciate is being made to feel that i have to like or not like a song. never before in the history of Michael did anyone ever force feed me his songs. or threaten that his legacy may die, or any intimidating thing like that. this is the first time that that has all changed.

if MJ's legacy was in danger of being gone, because hardcore fans had no power, then, the legacy shouldn't be here today, for that threat to be made, after Invincible was released. but, apparently, it's here today, for some to use to make a threat against.

here, sitting, enjoying my fourteenth copy of Invincible, on my own volition, and knowing the money is going to his kids, i'd appreciate more respect. i think a lot of hardcore fans would. they get called enough names as it is.

one thing i will say..a very good friend of mine just left the site, in the midst of this nightmare of confusion, over this current album...

this hurts very badly..

wow, smooth_criminal05. you should have said that is was just an opinion of one person. you made it sound like it was the inside info at Sony and your post became one of the first ones to start the conspiracy theory... :(
