August 15-17, 2008: Michael Spotted in Jay-Z's 40/40 club again (3rd time)

I don't think it's unusual that there aren't any pix, expecially if his visits were unexpected and he was pretty much left alone to enjoy himself and/or conduct business. Coolies.

Thanks to all for the news and mentionings. :flowers:

My personal opinion is he is there to see what exactly drives people to the dance floor etc.. He's probably starting to cut songs, and narrow down a bit which he wants.. So he's checking out the club scene to see exactly what pops off, and which songs more so than others.. What about those songs ppl like etc..

Actually, that was my thought as well. Maybe he's out having fun but most out to research. Check whats is going on in clubs. He might just notice that whenever a song of his is played, everyone gets up and dance.

Can you imagine MJ chillin' in the pool room on them plush leather sofa's

LOL. Yep and drinking a llittle something something. LOL.

But seriously, he might be at the club to see what is the hot music being played. , Mike did say that he doesn't like clubs, but that doesn't mean that he can't enjoy himself. I don't like clubs, but I can enjoy myself.

How could there not be one photo of MJ at the club if he's been there 3 times in the last 19 days... not 1 photo!

I was wondering that myself but maybe some clubs don't allow people to take pictures. Who knows.

Given how private Jay-Z and Beyonce is, I don't doubt that his club's VIP section has a strict no pix policy.

Which probably explains why MJ has been there more times than any other club since his 54 days...

That's my thought indeed too!
That's the only good reason why hes been there so many times in such a short time:)

Maybe it was that.. or something business related.. Told my mom this, and she was like "Maybe, he is meeting w/someone, some sort of business thing" IDK.. we will never know haha. Whether he actually went in the club, or at the restaurant in the club.
Hmm. But I'm glad he is going out more and enjoying himself. :) Yaay.

I hope hes finnaly a bit relaxed after all that hes been trough..
I hope he's gonna release hold my hand soon! but hey thats another thread :)

Jay-Z's place seems like it would be the best place to go when he wants to hang out. Jay-Z seems like he would definitely have something in place to enforce the privacy of celebs.

I soooo hope he was partying, letting looose

come on if MJ was there for work I would be disappointed.....:(((((

Go partying man!!!
Burn the disco down!!!

"I'm ready to have a good time"

:) So many fans, imo, like to forget this time of his life when he use to party at that ultra crazy Studio 54 back in the 1970s. That man saw all kinds of things. I will never forget when I saw pictures of MJ dancing and having a great time at Studio 54. He was so happy. LOL. He was dancing and stuff. He had a ball. That is why I was like, "yeah right" when he said that he didn't like to party. How can he explain the time he was at Studio 54? LOL. When I read that he was at the 40/40 club three times, I didn't think that he was just there to be there. LOL. I think he was there to have a good time and he might even come a fourth time. Mello bought up a point I always forget about Jay-Z, that he loves his privacy. Let's not forget when he married Beyonce and how he and she try to make it hush-hush. I think he wants to do that for his club, 40/40. Thanks for posting that, Arxter.

I soooo hope he was partying, letting looose

Me too.

OK so what is the 40/40 club?

It is like any other club that plays music and people can come an party. It is owned by the rapper Jay-Z. There are at least three locations of the club in the US: NYC, AC (Atlantic City) and Las Vegas (that opened late last year or early this year. I am not sure.) You can google it typing 40/40 club and look up some information about the club.

It's website:

THE 40/40 CLUB VISION
[Jay-Z opens upscale sports bar/lounge/restaurant]

NEW YORK - THE 40/40 CLUB,
an all-American sports bar and lounge owned by hip hop mogul Jay-Z and partner Juan Perez (6 West 25th Street between 6th Avenue and Broadway), opened its doors to the public in the Summer of 2003. Created by the three longtime friends, 40/40 is 8,000 square feet of pure sports and entertainment in an opulent lounge setting, providing a unique experience not found elsewhere in New York City.

"I love sports and wanted to create an environment that is conducive to my lifestyle, while being able to watch the games at the same time," said Jay-Z.

The $4 million multi-level space includes a 24’ X 8’ slate bar, a 16-foot wide staircase furnished with sleek seating on the steps, 15 LCD TV’s, 8 plasmas (three of which are 60"), four 12’ X 12’ two-sided big screen TV’s, a premium Cognac Room and three private VIP rooms. Two of the VIP rooms, the "Rémy Lounge" (appropriately named after Rémy Martin, Jay-Z's cognac of choice) and "Jay-Z's Room" are 24´ X 16´ each, and the third VIP room, "The Hall of Fame Lounge, " is 46´ X 20´. They are fully equipped with their own personal entertainment centers. 60" plasma TV’s, Italian leather wrap-around couches, X-Box, Play Station 2, all controlled by their own touch-screen remotes. Each of the VIP rooms can hold from 15 to 150 people, depending on the size of the event. The Cognac Room, sponsored by Cohiba, is state of the art and complies with all New York State smoking laws. The room features exclusive cigar pieces on display including limited edition lighters, cigar cutters and cigar pieces made exclusively for Cohiba.

Recently constructed is the Club Space. Opened on October 6th, 2004, the Club Space boasts an additional 2,000 square feet. Equipped with 12’ X 12’ two-sided big-screen TV's, three 60" plasma flat-screen televisions, VIP seating accommodations and a separate 15´ x 24´ Slate Bar, The 40/40 Club Space has a capacity of 250 people, perfect for any occasion, small or large.

The 40/40 Club is named after one of baseball’s most prestigious achievements. A benchmark for power and speed, The 40/40 Club includes players who hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in one season -- only Barry Bonds (1996), Alex Rodriguez (1998), Jose Canseco (1988) and the newest fourth member, Alfonso Soriano (2006) can call The 40/40 Club home. The four jerseys of these men grace an area of the lounge to honor their great accomplishment. "When we were thinking of a name, we wanted something exclusive -- the 40/40 Club in baseball is as exclusive as it gets," said Jay-Z.

The décor of 40/40 is a mix of memorabilia from this country’s greatest games coupled with Manhattan sophistication. Six chairs suspended from the ceiling transcend guests from a sports bar to a lavish lounge in a matter of seconds. Lush purples and charcoal glazing adorn the walls while rich slate imported from South America makes up the flooring, bars and tabletops. The furniture on the 16 foot wide slate stairs was produced in Marcy Place, Jay-Z’s childhood neighborhood. The 40/40 is accented by over 300 pillows that were, designed by owner Juan Perez’s childhood friend's mother and handcrafted in her home in Washington Heights.

Autographed jerseys given by various famous players who wear the number 40 hang from all points of the lounge along with other famous jerseys, such as Michael Jordan’s number 23 and Lawrence Taylor’s number 56.

"Memorabilia Hallway" connects the main floor to the private rooms and houses used jerseys, balls, bats and other used game equipment. "We tried to create a place that would be favorable to both men and women, and we think we have found it with the combination of sports and an upscale hip lounge," said owner Juan Perez. Executive Chef Juan Javas created a menu that is sure to please both the sports fan and the casual diner. Guests will be enticed by the Latin-Soul lounge food, with menu selections like "The Picnic" (fried deviled eggs and southern-fried chicken sticks, with our own signature 40/40 sauce), mouth-watering skewers, and a variety of tasty mini treats including burgers, tacos, and pizzas. View our whole menu here.

The 40/40 Club is open seven days a week from 4:00PM - 4:00 AM. All major credit cards accepted, except for American Express.

OK why did I hear about Michael Jackson (along with others, like Pharrell Williams), suing Jay-Z's 40/40 club? It was like last year or something or maybe 2006, I forgot. Anyway, so now allz a sudden he's clubbing in it? lol

Let me get this straight...

Michael was seen clubbing in Jay-Z's 40/40 club, for the third time.

That's why this thread was started? Just trying to get this straight.

Mmmmkay..

Yeah, I vaguely remember that too. I think it had something to do with the club playing their music and not paying royalties.

or he may just enjoy the joint.

OMG :wild:I've never seen footage like that of Michael. So totally cute. (raingirl wishes she had been a teenager in the 70's at Studio 54)

I always thought Michael didn't like clubs, period. But I guess it depends on a club. I'm not a big club fan but there's one that I've enjoyed too.
