The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Does anyone know what’s the exact origin of this particular mix of Tabloid Junkie? It seems to have been made from the song’s digitized multitracks by someone who has access to them:

Was shared on here a long while ago iirc

Yeah there's been this persistent rumor that certain people have the HIStory multitracks. This only lends credence to that theory.

It’s very bizarre how multitracks from all of MJ’s main albums are circulating amongst collectors with the exception of Invincible; when it comes to Invincible, we have nothing apart from a few a capellas (like those of Privacy or Threatened).

Blame the 2013 Sony hack. A lot of stuff got out there and we still don't know the full extent of what leaked.

Off the Wall is the only notable outlier. Apparently the leaks came from when the multitracks were digitized in 2016 for the OTW doc by Spike Lee.

The OTW multitracks go back further than 2016.

God I'd love the multitracks to Tabloid Junkie to leak, one of favourite MJ songs and one of his most complex compositions

Here's the thing: a small group of people from around 2012 could get their hands on Michael/ Janet/ Madonna multitracks. There were a few songs on that original list that they never bought. Tabloid Junkie is one of them, Someone In The Dark, 2000 Watts, You Rock My World and She Drives Me Wild are the others.

When the original source doesn't even have them anymore either. RIP.

Last time I checked, She Drives Me Wild was in the hands of some hip-hop producers and that Tabloid Junkie mix seemed new, so I wouldn't say these two are no longer circulating.

Other than that, it's crazy to realize that at one point, damm near the entire catalog of three famous artists (outside Janet's first two albums, Madonna's post-2003 material, and cuts from the Invincible album + some of his Motown stuff) was at one point for sale.

Tabloid Junkie mix isn't new. Like I said before it was posted a few years ago.

He would absolutely come back though, if asked again.
I want a new posthumous album with Ronson & Brody brown as main producers.

I imagine the track list as this:

WMCIG - solo version
  1. What More Can I Give
  2. Buffalo Bill
  3. Make or Break
  4. Rich Girl
  5. Joy
  6. I’m Dreamin’ (feat. will.i.am)
  7. Throwing Your Life Away
  8. Chicago 1945
  9. Dream Away

I absolutely agree with you. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get an album in 2026 once the biopic hype starts dying down while still capitalizing on there being a hype around mj again. I would love the track list to be this:
  1. What More Can I Give (finished)
  2. Buffalo Bill (full vocals)
  3. Make or Break (JV said full vocals)
  4. Rich Girl (Buxer said “far along”)
  5. Joy (finished)
  6. I’m Dreamin’ (feat. will.i.am) (finished)
  7. Chicago 1945 (finished)
  8. Dream Away (finished)
If nr 1 gets removed with an actual good song it looks good, not that I have any idea about what these songs sound like Bar the last 2

This has been info that's been widely parroted. Bring the proof someone actually has ANY of it.

Also that Tabloid Junkie rough mix has been out there since more than a decade. That comes from a physical studio item, not the multitrack.

Now that the estate has made a deal with Porcaro, what are the odds they'll buy off Bryan Loren, too?
I suspect the reason the estate decided to not deal with Bryan Loren is because he probably asked for an outrageous amount for his stuff.

Times seem to have been tough for him lately, so maybe they'll strike a deal with Loren lol

1. I don't have exact proof, but well-respected trader DJ Topcat has testified that he saw some high-level hip-hop producers with both SDMW and Dangerous.

2. I assumed that too back when it was first uploaded, but some users have brought up certain issues with the track (how the sample of MJ's speech at Neverland sounded fan-made, how amateurish the mix sounds, etc.) that made me think otherwise.

I think the chances of a new album in the year following the hype that the biopic will generate in 2025 are good.
Let's hope for original versions.
A new album or Dangerous 35/HIStory 30.
Smh they're gonna give us the biopic & that's the only thing they'll do. Watch & see
