So this going to be a super for realsies update!
New album announced!
Finally after 3 years of waiting the next posthumous Michael Jackson album will be released on May 21st 2014. With special guests such as Justin Bieber and One Direction, and LMFAO is gonna be featured on 2 never before heard songs! Also Pitbull will have a guest rap on every song!
You should all take this announcement seriously because this is for realsies

I love that they're not announcing anything yet, letting information trickle out incredibly slowly. Just imagine how much this forum is gonna implode when the announcement comes.

Well the only ones who have a clue about a possible album is us few hardcore fans who come on here looking. Fact is no one else in the world has a clue. They will only care if the music is any good. MJ is not here things will never be even close to the past when he was. I for one want something new I am also keeping my expectations very low for fear of disappointment.

You better get used to it. In a few years time it's very likely there'll be a number of years between new releases... if there are still new releases that is.
Besides it's not like we haven't got anything new to play with over the past couple of months. I am the Loser, A Place With No Name, a large number of multitracks to toy around with, Oprah outtakes, the HIStory tour rehearsals (idk if they leaked ages ago, I just saw a thread for it like 2 months ago so I'll assume they came out recently). For an artist who's dead I think we're doing extremely well.
I'm glad the Estate are taking their time with this release! If it means the album will be higher quality than I'm all for it.

Surprisingly, it's not as it seems. When Timbaland spoke about the album, everyone was reporting it -- even Rolling Stone. A few of my friends (both fans and non-fans) actually asked me about it. It's not huge, but people know it's coming. Either way, I agree with you. My expectations are being kept low, though something in me is saying that this is gonna be a pretty darn good release. I mean, really, how can they screw it up? So long as they actually go through with the format Damien Shields reported, the only bad thing they can really do is only include like five new songs.

There are a good amount of people who have People of the World, so I would expect a leak.
Days in Gloucestershire is still rare though. There are only a handful of people who have it and they aren't letting it leak for anything. I wouldn't expect that song anytime soon, unless someone had a change of heart.

The Soundcloud guy who claims to have DIG and will be leaking it soon also claims he has songs that do not even exist.
Those who have DIG have POTW. Almost all of the cases.

Soundcloud is full of scammers and wanna-bes and its easy to spot. They just want view counts.
I would say anything is not leaking for awhile, most collectors are tightly holding onto their material as the true ones always have.

Apparently some traders cut off all contact with other traders after A Place With No Name leaked. (Which is pretty understandable - it's been the rarest song out there for almost five years, given that no one knew who had it.)
That's how Michael worked unfortunately. Look at Hollywood Tonight, which was worked on from summer 1999 to October 2008 and was still only about 60%-70% completed.

I wouldn't put my money on it. For one thing, why would Timbaland announce any Michael Jackson music? Wouldn't the Estate/Sony want to take the lead on that? It's probably going to involve his next Shock Value album.

You must also take into consideration that an unfinished Michael Jacksons song equates to some artists finished songs. Hollywood Tonight, e.g has, choruses, 2 verses, and a bridge (more or less).
