People are fixated with live performances these days. The public isn't lenient towards lipsynching. It won't go down well with the general public and critics to see MJ lipsynch 95 % of a show. I know some fans would love to have HIStory tour and I'm not against a low key fan release. But I'm against HIStory tour representing MJ as a live artist in cinemas. Personally a Triumph or Victory tour release would make me more excited.

i think BAD Tour 30th anniversary should be done. from the existing 5+ existing HD shows that are available they should release a 1987 show in cinemas (shows michael in top form, no lip-syncing. to the public.) and release a high resolution show from the second leg, (not being picky over which concerts they choose.) on Blu-Ray for us hardcore fans.

Yes, I agree with that. I'd love to see Bad Tour in HD in cinemas.

I love 1987 but that doesn't even come close to 1988/1989. 1988/1989 is the true Bad Tour in my opinion. 1987 was just a warm up and 1988/1989 has the better setlists

Rumors continue to circulate about possible new Jackson music-both Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen have said May has worked on tracks that Freddie Mercury and Jackson recorded in 1983-but neither Sony nor Branca would divulge any details about when fans might see the next album from the King of Pop.

"There's definitely music coming, but I can't reveal when we think it's coming," says Branca, who also declined to reveal whether any other Jackson-related projects are in the works beyond album releases. "Michael had a policy that we try to follow-not to talk about things until they're ready to be released. We like to keep things under wraps until we're ready to go with everything. We have ideas and things we're working on, but nothing that we're ready to announce."

HIStory tour 3d release, new album, last photo shoots. 2 of them are fantastic and great insights into michael's final productive years as an artist. the other is visually flawless but not raw enough to prove michael's dominance of worldwide touring.

releasing HIStory tour would be fine... In all honesty us worrying about MJ lipsync performances is a bit much at this point.. I mean the HIStory tour would mainly be purchased by MJ fans that already know what's up.. MJ concerts are bought by MJ fans not the general public, there would be very little reason for the average joe to pay for a DVD concert out of new interest or ceriousity while the tour is on youtube for free..

Plus MJ MTV 1995 performance is wide known to be many peoples favorite performance, that is lipsync... no one complaines about it...

If he lipsynced for This Is It and it was noticable, thats where flack would come..

^ If it had been put in the cinemas then it wouldn't be meant just for hard core fans. They can release a low key DVD but putting it in the cinemas is a bad idea IMO. People would think it's put in the cinemas because it's Michael's best performance and then they see him lipsynch.

I think some kind of concert compilation would work. Songs from different tours in different countries. Make a movie of it. Show mike visiting children in hospitals and such. Blend it together to tell a story of the true MJ. It could work if done right.

true, they have (or exists) at least 3-5 shows on film/hd from each tour.. would be cool if they used the strongest performances/live vocals in a full tour experience.. i posted that idea once before, but it would have to be done perfectly. also.. hoping for an album announcement soon, i'm so anxious atm :p

If they do not announce the album this year and releases a single before christmas the project will fail... - They need to build up exitement and expectations for the album.

It SEEMS dead, it's not dead, duh.

They can at least put SOMETHING out each MONTH. A tease, a bit of information, ONE track title that' will be on the album, you name it, some clues, there are countless of things they can do via FB or Twitter, or whatever.

The Estate are the worst a promoting and I have almost forgotten that there is an album coming.

Some of us forget that the buzz is not dying from this album... The buzz has not even started, the general public is not waiting so in all reality if they did delay it even a full year.. it cannot die! something can't die that has not lived yet!! The only reason why we know about an album is because we went looking for an album.. We come here every day, week after week, month after month, year after year.. WAITING on new material..

So for us the buzz has been around, but the public does not know about it. Often time a single could even be released before a full album list is revealed, sometimes the album is not 100% complete before a single is out. So (IF) the album come out lets say April, I would not expect us to get much news prior to years end...

In my personal opinion, it is better to start the buzz BIG, with an official announcement publically over hearing bits and pieces over time than announce album title etc.. For example no news until a trailer supporting the album is released and then people will want info.. the general public will ask.. "what songs?" "When?" "How does it sound?" "who worked on it?" then we get more and more info, and feed the hunger of the general public.. If we fill everyone before they are hungry, they wont need to eat when the course is out..

We are different, we're hungry and waiting non stop, so we torcher, but in the overall picture it's better to do it this way.. For success of the album

THANK YOU. Why are you guys complaining about not getting information when it hasn't even been officially announced yet ? Yeah, ok, we've got a little bit of information from other sources but, like with every other album, the vast majority of information comes out after it has been officially announced.

To actually expect the Estate to give away information about projects that are yet to be announced is just stupid. I mean I'm interested in info too but damn, have some patience - the show hasn't even started :p

Sure is weird though, for a while we were getting lots of tweets and chatter about new MJ songs.

Now it's all gone quiet. I wonder if something's changed behind the scenes - a delay?

It has been confirmed by Timbaland, the man himself, working on the album, that it's coming. If that's not officialy, then I don't know. In order for him to speak about the album liek he did, he would need permission - which he obviously got.

I think if it comes out next spring (which is the case according to rumours) then it's not time yet to promote it. Now all focus is on the albums and records which come out for the Christmas season. It's enough if promotion starts some time next year IMO.

Yes, the project is known about, but it has yet to be officially announced by Sony/The Estate. When it's officially been announced, they'll not only release a press release, but they'll also start to advertise the project on Facebook, Twitter (and hopefully more places this time around) :)

i agree, they obviously know we're all dying to hear this announcement so they're building it up by waiting until 2014! then we can all know what we'll be buying, and we already know it's gonna slay the 'Michael' album so we just gotta keep calm and listen to classic Michael until the time comes :)

If they gave info out now, there would be nothing to say by the time its released.. I hope to god they save it, even though I want to know all detailes asap.. I do still care about radio success of his music

People are focusing on the holidays now. If an album is coming then it will be announced when they need to do it just like with everything else. Lets not think negative about anything. People say all the time they are working on this and that and you don't know when it will come.

Bucharest would work as a Cinema release but let's not go there (we've already seen it bla bla)

This album hasn't started yet. No one outside of the MJ/Timbo bubble knows about it. Why promote it now? Wait until we are 2-3 months away if that, and boom. Ladies and Gentlemen, the King of Pop once again.

They should release the Freddy Murcury/MJ duets within the next couple of weeks, then announce the new album around Xmas time with the first single within the first week of January. Then drop the album in March. Thats how i would do it anyway..

I think they will announcement this album one month before release, just like They did with "Michael"....

After reading new article in billboard magazine I can say that they working on new songs but they have only a concept and plans (Branca says "We have ideas and things we're working on, but nothing that we're ready to announce."), and Sony/Estate don't know yet how to promote this album and when release first single...
