it isn't so much Tupac its just the song man, its like someone said "What song hasn't any DJ around the world ever mixed with 2Pac Changes" and LA Reid is like "Xscape", cuz it seems like Changes has been mixed with a Bazillion different songs, its so Cliche.

Man, Beautiful Girl confuses the hell outta me. Why were they working on it in 05 when it was released on TUC? I've heard different accounts about how it was to be used for a charity song but how come the "Love" harmonies was still intact? Maybe the revamped version still had those harmonies? or maybe that was just harmony training to be given to Geraldo the interviewer in case he ever gave a musical career serious consideration......

God I need the single before i go crazy.

MJ reworked songs that were already released since i swear beautiful girl was on that paper found in his house in 2009. and scared of the moon was worked on in the invincible sessions or some other sessions but it was reworked
 
I just want to add one thing. I remember confusion in the media and among fans on the question if Thriller actually sold 100M copies… I remember those discussions and it appeared to be that serious that the Estate had to make a statement, something like “Thriller is sold even more than 100M”

All I want to say is that IMO this plaque at the #XSCAPE NYC listening event was made not for marketing reasons only but also because it was obvious that it is important for the fans…

It bugs me when people want to compare everything to Thriller. I hate to disappoint people, but not everything with his name on it can do so well. If anybody thinks this album could come close to Thriller sales then they are delusional, I'm sorry but that is just impossible. Considering the state of the music business these days and the fact that Michael is not here, it will never happen. Even when Michael was here, he never came close to Thriller in sales anyway.

I am very excited because the community is very supportive and excited for this project and the estate/Sony seem to have a serious commitment to make this project a big success. So far it has had positive reviews which is huge and the promotion is much better than "Michael's" . Just that promotional short is awesomeness!! We'll just have to wait and see what they have up their sleeves as far as promotion.

I have to admit I am a very impatient person, and this is killing me. This whole project has been carefully planned for months or more, and we will see how it unfolds and how we are blown away! So just hold on!

Well Thriller sold 100 million copies, I am not stupid I know Xscape can't sell that much. - But 95 million copies sold - Then I'm happy....

A nice interview, but about DYKWYCA he said that the date of writing the song will determine his opinion about the relation to the allegation....

I might understand why they re-named She Was Loving Me into Chicago - the tracklist would be then:

1. LOVE never felt so good
2. She was LOVING me
3. LOVING you

But please do not re-name Do You Know Where Your Children Are? !!!

That's just stupid. Why would the recording date of the song determine his [or anyones] opinion? It could have been written in 2009 and it still has no connection whatsoever to any of the allegations, as a matter of fact the song isin't so much about child abuse as it has been reported. Yes, the girl gets sexually abused by a perpetrator but it is more about psychological abuse and succumbing to the pressures of making it big in Hollywoood.

Haven't watched it yet tho..

I wonder if they're renaming certain tracks, so the general public can find the leaks on youtube, like STTR, DYKWYCA. That would be a good idea but I don't them messing around (pardon the pun) with song titles that MJ approved. The other reason could be legal reasons but I doubt it.

We need more "Akon's" to put these news anchors in check, I hate hearing them say "*****" or anything degrading about MJ.

I dont take his opinion about what's he thinks depending on the date so much about if the date recorded wud make him like or not like the song.. more so it wud have been controversial (Ironic) if he wrote the song prior to allegations.. I think that is what he was saying.. I think he even said it was his favorite song on the album..

My only gist with this tracklist is that a love song (loving you), comes in too early. The album already starts in a mellow tempo then it becomes volatile with She was loving me then it slows down with Loving You..

I haven't read every single page in this thread since it's been updating so frequently, but where/how did you guys find out that this was the 17th track? :)

Guitar player posted it on his facebook account with detailed info about who plays which instrument. Questlove playing the drums. Also Joe Vogel said he heard the song and said it was considered for the main album but didn't make the cut.

For me I hope the album does well. This may sound stupid but for me the thing I want the most right now is to hear one of these songs on the radio with the current artists of today. Not Billie Jean etc (which I love to hear always) that do get played with them. I love them but it has been a long time to hear a "new " mj song on the radio.

It always felt that someone or something was blocking Michael and his goals. I want as many people to hear his music and give it a chance. He has nothing to prove but he deserves it.

I'm with you. I want nothing more than to hear the new music on the radio, but where I live, I'm not holding out much hope. I live in the middle of redneck country, lol.

What was degrading about what this guy said? Overall, all I heard is praise for Michael. And if you are talking about the ***** thing, please get over it, for the Brits that's not an insult. There are a lot of British fans here, can you verify this? In an case I don't find it insulting because they are NOT insulting him in any way.

I love that Akon defends MJ, but the fact he's supporting the whole "B Howard" thing... bothers me. (Sorry, hate to bring that up, but it does.)
