Pretty sure it's Brad Buxer. The tags are incorrect.

sure, it is Brad Buxer

Michael introduces him to Geraldo Rivera as 'Brad Buxer' at 1:10

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Yes mj didnt like the word ***** therefore fans dont use it. but those ppl that arent fans or who dont know or dont really care use the term because it is the norm in uk and Oz for example culture. it has no racist conitations in these countries it is siimply a nickname given to people with names that end in son such as people who are called gibson get called gibbo. its as simply as that.the nickname was not created for mj.it was around long before him and long after. so just because in america it maybe viewed as some racial term please dont attach that to others when you see a uk article/interview where that term is used.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Great photos!

I would say they're from the Invincible sessions, given that it was the last time Michael worked with Bruce.
maybe it's in the middle of the night at where you stay now. that's why you can't tell it's not from invincible and looks more likely during or post trial.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

I'm sure Timbaland said something along the lines of This is Michaels voice and my music ( that's not a quote by the way). If this is true could the vocals from will I am collaborations be released with different music or doesn't it work like that? Not that I want them to be released in this way but I am intregued.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Guy, you do know that most of these people do not follow MJ's every word like we the fans. If they are speaking positively about him then chances are they have no idea he doesn't like that name. They aren't his friends or fans like us.

I know in the UK J***o is short for Jackson and a lot are using it without trying to insult or disrespect him.

It wasn't insult at all. Most likely those people don't read all the articles of MJ and doesn't know what Michael thought of that nick name. In UK, for example I have heard JLS, Adele and some others call MJ with that nick name, and they are fans of Michael. They just don't know MJ didn't like that name and his thought of it.
I have a friend who is MJ fan and we were talking about his music and he called MJ with that name. I was taken by surprise because I thought he was fan (having seen his concerts 5 times and had tickets to 02), but when I told him about what that name means and what MJ thought of it, he said he didn't know any of that.

There are people who doesn't read and follow news about MJ the way some of us here do, and that should not be held against them.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Hype doesn't mean that all your neighbors are going to stop living and praise MJ's posthumous unreleased and unheard album. Hype is when DJs are excited over MJ's new release and are eager to play, scratch, remix, butcher the songs in da clubs in addition to fans' excitement. But, if some fans are constantly disappointed and spread negativity like a disease, don't blame others for not getting carried away by the new releases.
if that's what you mean then the pathetic no of views of Xscape teaser just completely prove there's not much excitement going beyond the small fan community.I just find it puzzling in MJ fan circle whenever fans raise their concern about anything, it's seen as being negative. It was the same in 09, when fans voiced their concern about MJ's health and doubting his ability to do 50shows, the 'positive' fans said the same thing. Look what happened in the end (before anyone point out it's manslaughter and MJ's perfectly fine. LOOK if he's perfectly fine and without stress and was mentally, physically ok, why did he have to resort to using drugs to help him sleep? everyone with eyes and ability to observe could see that there's something wrong with him. Only these fans who wanted to stay 'positive' were either turning a blind eye to what they see or persuade themselves to think everything was alright.
back on topic, I'm not expecting much anyway I just hope the estate/sony really put in effort in the promotion and if it flops or turn out to be a big seller, it's fine so long as the promotion is properly done. I saw what they've done with 'michael' and flopped Bad25. and they did a AWFUL marketing job. I don't like to see this happen to Xscape.

BAD25 was by no means a flop.

You obviously havent seen the trial MJ vs Murphy.

p.s. I dont see any hype about any other artist. The hype comes and goes, it dies within the minutes. Everything goes so fast and everything dies fast, including hype.

Anyway, MJ has nothing to prove anymore, the hype he used to generate in the 80s will never be repeated by any other artist, that includes himself with his posthumous releases. You will have to deal with it.

what kind of change? the content or the track order? I wouldn't mind the latter

They had listening party for fanclubs? Did anyone from MJJC got a chance to go and I want to hear all the details:D

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

"Before the playing of the new album Mr. Reid told us that on this album there are only 8 songs because they ONLY wanted to use songs that where actually finished by Michael Jackson himself."

So I guess they didn't want to show her the 8th song
the quote didn't mean that

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

What was degrading about what this guy said? Overall, all I heard is praise for Michael. And if you are talking about the ***** thing, please get over it, for the Brits that's not an insult. There are a lot of British fans here, can you verify this? In an case I don't find it insulting because they are NOT insulting him in any way.

Language has many subtle cultural nuances that vary over time / with the age, experience, knowledge and education of the speaker. Use of a nickname traditionally implied informality of expression and familiarity / acceptance of the person whose nickname you were using. eg you may refer to friends and family but not your bank manager by a nickname. In the UK, much of the population had some family connection with people who have served in the armed forces (WWI...if you are old enough to remember these relatives ,WW2, other more recent conflicts). Services personnel widely use nicknames and the practice was brought back into civilian life. Nicknames were often 'jokey' eg very tall people might be called 'shorty', but there was no insult implied. I agree that 'J****' belongs to this tradition in the UK, but once you know how Michael understood the term you would not use it or find it acceptable. I agree that many thousands / millions of people in the UK probably have no idea about the adverse implications, except insofar as it can be paired with W**** when of course it is used by non-fans with clear adverse intent. I think (in the UK), there is a massive difference in use and intent between speakers (or writers) who use 'J-' in a friendly and familiar way and those who use W-J-, who do the opposite.

(Edit: So I don't think the interviewer in this review clip was anti-MJ in any way)

+Your neighbours aren't gonna be excited about an album that's not even out yet. They might be when there's an actual single but don't hold your breath.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

Can we end the debate about ***** ***** term. Here, instead of debating listen to what MJ said himself. He was the first one who was concerned about it, so he had the right not to appreciate to be nicknamed the way the British tabloids did.

I thought the debate was about the view (pro- anti MJ) of a reviewer who used the term ....is that not on-topic?

What I meant is that MJ himself expressed the disgust to be called *****. He was well aware that British tabloid nicknamed him like that, and he didn't like it at all. As a matter of fact he hated it. Now, its not because British tabloids keep on repeating the same nickname that it is all of sudden OK to call him that way. So, I think MJ in his own words pretty much ended the debate.

...which unfortunately doesn't mean much to the millions who have not heard/ seen/ read about MJs own words. It is a pity to judge a population on something they have no knowledge about.

On the one hand, it is up to people to get informed properly, and on the other, it is up to the media to play their fair part in reporting the information properly. MJ cleared it up. Despite that the tabloids continued. Who gave the right to journalists to nickname the person after a name that is not accepted by the concerned one? That's not journalism, that's crap. And if people read crap they are going to be judged by what they read.

Sorry can't help, feet are firmly on the ground here in the UK.

In Crocodile Dundee a Jack is called ***** and he presents himself like that. A few words coming from Michael after a viewing of said movie. "I get the ***** being a nickname as the same the Australians the names short to first 3 or 4 letters often. It´s okay, it really is, but calling me that isn´t okay and it hurts, ***** would have been okay but it´s the W**** too and therefore ***** hurts me really deeply."
