That's funny because Coldplay was voted as the best music to fall asleep to a few years ago, along with Adele. All joking aside, I really love Adele and a lot of the Coldplay single releases thus far. The two songs I've heard from their recent album are definitely top 10. Still, they will never compete with MIchael in terms of his longevity and amazing success over a long period

I hear you, LOL. But I guess it depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Sometimes I want to dance or get my groove on and sometimes I want to chill in a corner somewhere. Coldplay has the corner on that market. LOL
 
Their name represents them well: cold-play. While Michael is the hot-play. :p

I'm with you there. I had a chance to see them in concert a couple years ago. My dad's girlfriend at the time had extra tickets and offered me one- free of charge- and I was just like "Ehh.... no thanks", :lol:

We are waitnig the results for the last week. It's a fight between MJ and The Shit Keys. Coldplay released their album this week and they will be #1 this week.

The results we are waiting for will be announced oficially tomorrow evening.
 
If that latest update saying MJ was in lead with 10,000 more copies sold then he's gonna do this hopefully.

It would mean alot if he charted #1 in his country

Thanks! However, if I am not mistaken, Billboard sometimes announces the number 1 album already on Tuesday. In these cases, they say that the will post the full results for the other albums on Wednesday. I could be wrong though...I am so anxious for the results

FYI, the Billboard performance is still the main story on Billboard.com despite the Coldplay release. I get the sense that they are also "pulling" for Michael in some way, perhaps due to the high ratings. But they have often posted positive stories about Michael in the past which has helped to keep him in the news
 
Can anyone confirm with a link that Xscape is #1 in Russia and Mexico. I saw that on another forum but without any source.
 
oh, i missed to say that LNFSG entered last week the austrian charts at #48.
 
Michael Jackson's genius is eternal, he broke the barrier of segregation in the music industry (First short film from black artist to air on MTV) and will continue to inspire humanity with his artistic creations. Xscape proves the fact, that he is the greatest that will ever live.

Is there any chance BILLBOARD reports different numbers?? This is such a tight race, way too close for comfort
