Xscape chart positions. (incl. singles)

You're positively talking about physical sales but many people reporting that stores are running out of stock they can't meet the demand.

I hope the latest update is accurate! Come on MJ!!

I’ve heard that iTunes reports their sales first, then Amazon, then physical retailers. But I’m not sure about that, because HDD did these partial updates for Beyonce as well, and that album was released on iTunes only. Sometimes I think these partial updates are just a way for HDD to get more traffic to their site.

I’m happy with those sales. Some weeks the number 1 album sells less than 100 000 so I’d say 160k is a healthy number.

Absolutely agree with HDD milking thus to bring traffic to their site.

but as for Beyonce, true her album was released on iTunes only, but the other 49 weren't. So HDD still bad to wait for Amazon & other retailers for the other 49 on their Top 50.

It`s offical Xscape is 2 in Germany. Kollegah 1, Anestesia 3, Shit Keys on 6

Dahinter landen The Black Keys mit „Turn Blue“.

Some newsarticles says Kollegah sold 160000 albums in first week, the largest number in Germany since 2003

Coldplay took over no 1 position in US amazon, but Xscape is no 2.
Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #2 in Music (See Top 100 in Music)

If somebody is to take over MJ, I rather see Coldplay than Shit Keys.

Xscape is holding up very well this week, despite the new releases!

This is very good news for week 2 sales figures and chart positions.

True, but they did these partial updates for Beyonce’s sales as well, which wouldn’t make sense if it were true that the first update includes all iTunes sales.

But whatever their method is, we can’t tell who’s going to get that number 1 by these early numbers. And also, what you said earlier in the thread about waiting for final BB numbers is absolutely true - HDD is really accurate, but of course their numbers are slightly different from BB’s. Normally it doesn’t make a difference, but if the gap between MJ and the Black Keys is only a few thousand according to HDD, the sales numbers and chart positions could easily change when BB releases the official chart.

Not really big numbers.

I'm pretty sure that all of Beyonce's sales came in the first (or first two) updates on HDD.

Or is my memory playing tricks?

Lol this post made me doubt my memory so badly that I actually checked an old HDD thread where people posted those partial updates for Beyoncé. I was pretty relieved to know I wasn’t making things up - Beyoncé’s results came in three updates, like the rest of the albums on the chart. :)

Yeah, even if we do not have a chance for #1 for next week because of Coldplay I hope Xscape will have a long and nice chart run and stay in the Top 10 for a long time.

Ah. OK.

That's odd though, as all the sales came from one source?

Perhaps HDD held some back, rather than give the game away at the beginning, just to keep their traffic going. :cheeky:

I'm only now finished catching up with all the threads and posts and I must say this made my burst out laughing:
“They are trashing an album they haven't even listened to,” Jackson estate manager and uber-attorney John Branca shot back, adding, “We are formally extending to them an offer of four free tickets to the Michael Jackson ONE show in Las Vegas so they can continue their education.”

Hopefully Shit Keys loses to Michael so those tickets won't go wasted, and they get educated too :D

Why are we assuming that Goldbley's album will be better than Xscape?

As far as I remember Coldplay’s album was available for pre-order for a long time so it all will effect on their chart debut. Although it is easier for them to promote their album at the end of the day we will see.

It's not surprising Coldplay is leading the charts but I don't get how they're so popular. I could never get to listen a full album, Chris Martin's voice makes me feel sleepy.

Coldplay have many #1s but Michael still manages to be second. Xscape is holding on great!

Can someone post most updated list of official charts peak positions by country. Not itunes list but official charts peak positions. Thanks!

^Are those sales? Not bad. LNFSG is #5 in Mexico.

Even though many of us fans were horrified with that BMA "performance", I thought it could've helped Xscape, LNFSG or STTR because non fans seemed to like it.

The Xscape Album did enter the Official Australian Charts (ARIA) at #3.

My list (I think this is it for now, nothing else is official):

UK #1
Denmark #1
Belgium (Flanders) #1
Belgium (Wallonia) #1
Germany #2
Netherlands #2
Australia #3
Sweden #3
Scotland #3
Ireland #4
Czech Republic #10
