Xscape gives Michael Jackson his eighth Number One album in France, as it debuts at the top with 34,214 copies sold (29,128 physical + 5,086 downloads). Michael Jackson‘s other chart-toppers are Bad (for six weeks in September and October 1987), Dangerous (for seven weeks from January to October 1992), HIStory : Past, Present and Future – Book I (for two weeks in June 1995), Blood On The Dancefloor – History In The Mix (for one week in May 1997), Invincible (for three weeks in November 2001), Thriller 25 (for three weeks in February and March 2008), and the This Is It soundtrack (for three weeks in November 2009). What about Thriller, you would ask ? The first French albums chart was published in January 1985
Patrick Fiori gets his highest-charting LP with Choisir which enters at number two with 16,020 sales. The new album is his third top five, Si On Chantait Plus Fort… peaked at four in October 2005, and his last offering L’Instinct Masculin reached number three in October 2010. After three non-consecutive weeks at Number One, Indila‘s Mini World is down to three in its 12th week inside the top 10 (8,911 sales / -20%).
The Black Keys are new at number four with Turn Blue (8,830 sales), it’s their first top 10 album in France. El Camino was number 21 in February 2012. Sadnecessary is a new entry at five for Milky Chance with 7,892 copies sold.
