Can you provide a bit more info: date. Country. Single sale? So people not familiar with this thread can easily understand? Thank you.

by far MJ's most successful single since Butterflies / you rock my world. We need to keep it in the top 5 through the weekend.

3rd week and it is going up again. Hopeful for airplay updates so it could move within top 10

Michael Jackson debuts at No.3 with “Xscape”, an album of previously un-released material, which includes the current Top 30 single “Love Never Felt so Good” (TW-28) featuring Justin Timberlake, and with the album being released on Tuesday, this position is after only two to three days of sales, but with the new Coldplay album out as of Friday (16th May), Michael might not get to the top next week. This new entry becomes Michael’s 13th studio album, and second posthumous release after “Michael” debuted and peaked at No.10 in December 2010, and “Xscape” also becomes his fourteenth Top 10 album in Australia.

I am so happy with these US sales!

I wonder how many copies this single will end up selling worldwide?

Easily MJ's biggest selling single in many a year, I would think.

Was the Black keys (who are #1) album released before MJ's? So top 3 with only 3 days of sale, that is a great feat. XSCAPE is outperforming Michael.

I think EPIC finally woke up to the Black Keys problem. Yesterday several high profile celebs started randomly tweeting about XSCAPE. Arsenio Hall. Shaquille O'Neal. Fifth Harmony. Singer Ciara. Judith Hill. And a few lesser known I can't remember.

i don't know what took EPIC so long. They should have had these celebs tweeting right off the bat on Tuesday. I am not a record exec and the week prior to release I told fans to brace themselves and TBK would give MJ a good challenge for US #1.

Those, 'who shall not be named' had about 4 months of pre-orders!

I hope MJ is above them next week. Even though he will not be number 1.

If you want to volunteer to request LNFSG on pre-assigned POP, URBAN & RHYTHMIC radio stations go to this thread and add your name:

Have you requested Michael on the radio today?

Any effects of BET special? Any updates from the US charts?

Do we still have a chance or TBK went too far ahead?

Amazing in the Netherlands!
All the 8 tracks charted:
#2 Love Never Felt So Good, 2 weeks, previous week #3; one of the best performance after Smooth Criminal, the same as black or white, and You Rock My World
#24 A Place With No Name, despite not releasing as a single, the position is better than cry, one more chance, and hold my hand!
#42 Loving You
#48 Slave to the Rhythm
#53 Chicago
#62 Do You Know Where You Children Are
#63 Xscape
#77 Blue Ganster

Dutch charts:

LNFSG: 2 and all other songs from the album are listed in single-charts

WE CAN DO IT!!! US fans YOU CAN DO IT!!! Do it for Michael. He loved to be #1.

Now we are closer than ever. 2 more days. We must keep doing the great job and encourage people to buy it.

In my opinion this is maybe MJ's last chance to be #1 in US. This project is really great and LA Reid said it is his last MJ project. So the promotion for the next projects won't be as strong as this time.

DO IT!

Debuted number 3 here in Australia. So embarrassed we suck! I bought a digital copy and three deluxe copies, one for the girlfriend, the mum and my car.

We're the USA's strange little cousin. If MJ finishes 1# there and LNFSG gets more airplay in the US eventually Australians will leech on it too and pretend to be American's whilst wearing their NBA snapback hats and listening to Eminem.

Indeed, the US is a trend setter when it comes to music. Songs/albums that have success in the US usually have success in other markets later on. I am doing my part. Just asked my mom to get a copy of the deluxe version at her Walmart as I live in Belgium. Let's make this happen people!!!

We need to plan to motivate the American fans to buy. I wonder if you can buy e-mail address lists and e-mail people about the album, you know like how stock brokers buy those lists and call people each day to sell the stocks.

If what happens at the Billboard Awards show tomorrow is as spectacular as it's being talked about, that could help push sales up here.

Yes, but what can we do ourselves to help? I think people are influenced to buy more if someone they know has something and tells them about it. I was just saying in the other thread that each fan should make sure they make 1 other person buy an album either a coworker, friend, client, classmate, professional like their doctor, family members, people who work in the building they live in, etc.

Hmmmmmmmm #3 after only 3 days of sale. I'd say it is an amazing feat, considering Michael entered at #10.

so again, why do Sony want fans to order thru their websites when they don't report to Neilsen?

NEVER EVER again. We should stick to Neilsen tracked retailers from now on.

Indeed. And the album Michael did not have any legs in Australia after the initial launch. That's what makes this album so special, especially the Deluxe version. There is something for everyone. I really think the estate hit a home run with this one.

Not sure if this is possible but one thing that we could all do is to mention just how much we like this album on our Facebook accounts. Come on people. Let's start this!

Done! Just posted a plug on my Facebook account

Purchasing the album through Sony's website will also get counted. They mentioned that 85% of the sales comes from those sources.

Good idea!! We need to do something concrete. I don't have facebook, but I am using my mouth to do the work.

Amazon is also not reported to Nielson prior but it`s counted at the end of the chart-week.

Come on people. We can get this number 1. We all know how important it was to Michael to be number 1
