why is TLC showing this? The Secret Lives of Michael Jackson's Children

Oh my Lord!

As per this programme, just saw on Access Hollywood, Mark Lester will be one of the people speaking about the kids (they showed him talking about the kids reaction to their fathers death)

The fool wasn't even there.

Just found this :
"LOS ANGELES — California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed an anti-paparazzi bill making it easier to sue media outlets that use photos that invade celebrities' privacy.

A statement issued Monday says the former "Terminator" star had signed a number of bills, including the amendment to a decade-old law that allows fines against paparazzi who illegally or offensively take photos or recordings.

The amendment permits lawsuits against media outlets that pay for and make first use of material they knew was improperly obtained.

Tabloid magazines, TV shows and Internet sites sometimes pay millions of dollars for celebrity fodder.

The amendment takes effect in January. "

it's a great news !

Great news!

I sent an e-mail protesting this program through the Viewer Relations link. I clicked on "Baby Story" because there wasn't a link for "Secret Lives", since it hasn't broadcast yet. I received a form e-mail back that referenced the program as "Secret Lives", so I believe they received it and filed it properly. Here's what I wrote:
"I would like you to reconsider about airing a show that deals with Mr. Jackson's 3 minor children. These are 3 basically orphans who are of tender ages, 13, 12 and 8. They need their privacy, and putting on a 60 minute show about them on Sunday prime time on TLC isn't respecting that privacy that their father, and now their grandmother, tries so hard to preserve. I have to wonder if the producers at TLC are themselves parents, and if so, how would they feel if their children were exposed in such a way on national TV? Please reconsider what you are doing emotionally to these children, their grandmother, and the Jackson family." I received a form letter that said all of these comment letters are forwarded to programming executives for review and consideration. I hope that's true.

I also tweeted Randy Jackson asking if his mother as legal guardian could put a stop to this.

This was my comment to them--

"I was disappointed to read of your upcoming program, "The Secret Lives of Michael Jackson's Children."

These three precious children have faced a tough year enough after losing their father. They don't deserve to lose the privacy he worked so hard to maintain for them.

It is my deepest wish that you will reconsider airing this program."

The fool wasn't even there.

No he was on TV selling stories about the kids :( Stories which if they had heard would have made it worse for them.

Anyone found an email address yet?

Lester stated in fall last year (after he made those nasty statements) that he was still in touch with Steven, so I'm so sure he's got Randal's full permission and blessings to do whatever the heck he pleases just as Oxman's got good ole Joe's.

It's not on their authority on what could be published about the children, custody has been given to Mrs Jackson and if she doesn't allowed this should not be airing, but the main question is : does she know ? I would be so amazed to learn that she knows and does nothing.

Of course it isnt Steven doesn't look after his own children nobody expects him to look after anyone else's. But usually people have enough dignity to refrain from having a 'relationship/contact' to people who have sold out their dead brother, I didn't hear about Jackie having anything to do with him but Randall's name keeps on being associated to everything shady and sleazy. Like I said usually one keeps a distance from such people but with them who cares outsiders, insideres there ain't no body that knew Michael Jackson one way or the other and hasn't sold him out yet.

Update:

Saw TLC's promo for this show last night and surprise, surprise, guess who else will be chiming in? that's right, that stomache churning Rabbi Boteach!:puke: also saw that journalist Toure (the one who kept stressing that the kids were white during the coverage of the memorial) too.

I have to say I am really surpised that TLC is going this route......

TV Special Gives Inside Look at the Hidden Life of Michael Jackson's Kids

Michael Jackson wasn't the kind of dad you'd catch flipping burgers on the barbecue.

But cable channel TLC is out to prove that -- despite all the weirdness that enveloped his world -- Jackson was the kind of father they make phone-company commercials about.

Prince, Paris and Blanket, who are now 13, 12 and 8 years old, get their first, unauthorized TV special -- "Hidden Lives of Michael Jackson's Children" -- Father's Day night.

But the network means "Hidden" in a good way, it seems.

"I think people are always going to say that [Jackson was strange]," says executive producer Wendy Douglas. "But I feel that if they . . . see some of the things he did with his kids, I hope they think a little less of that.

"They'll say he was a little weird, but was also a very hands-on father."

The special, airing at 9 p.m., comes on the one-year anniversary of Jackson's death (June 25). It features behind-the-scenes footage seen before only in snippets -- including ***** helping Prince recite his "ABCs" and playing chess with his oldest son.

The show has its tabloid moments, like former child actor Mark Lester saying that J**** asked him to make a "donation" to help conceive Paris.

But the point of the special is that the kids behind the dark veils and (sometimes grotesque) masks were fairly average children.

"Footage of Michael and his kids was always protected. He never liked to release it," says Douglas. "We were shocked we had this intimate footage, and I love it because it shows how much of a great father he is.

"You'll actually see how hands-on he was and how close he was to his children."

While no one interviewed on Sunday's special doubts that Jackson loved his kids, his child-rearing methods (including the veils and masks) are questioned by some -- including Vanity Fair writer Maureen Orth, who covered Jackson's 1993 child molestation case (eventually settled out-of-court).
(Orth's late husband, Tim Russert, hosted "Meet the Press" for NBC, which produced this special under its Peacock Productions banner.)

The true paternity of Jackson's children is also cautiously questioned. Lester admits that he could be Paris's father, but adds that "it doesn't really matter," since Jackson was her father in every other sense of the word.

Missing are interviews with any of the kids themselves.

"As you can imagine, that was something that would have been really challenging and difficult to get," Douglas says.

Somebody get me a bucket, please!

the esate should go after these feckers. its only the begining.

also saw that journalist Toure (the one who kept stressing that the kids were white during the coverage of the memorial) too.
well u think they would be happy as they spent 20 odd years wishing mj was white

I can't stand Maureen Orth she is a liar, made up a fake case about MJ during the 03 allegations in her shit mag Vanity fair about MJ given a Japanese boy alcohol when he was a teen in the late 90's. Poor guy had to go on TV and (he was an adult now) he said it was false MJ never game him anything like that. He said MJ was only in Japan talking business with his father on doing amusement parks and was introduced to MJ by his dad and that's it!

But Maureen made a big deal of it because after the meeting MJ had with his dad and I believe others they had a glass of champion like a cheer kind of thing most people do after business talk and the boys father let the kid sip some wine and she made a big shit over it like it was MJ who did it! Bitch is crazy!

Even accused MJ of paying the boy money to his account and he said no way no money! You can check my account there is nothing there from MJ!

I am so sick and tired of the media being able to get away with shit like this because of that stupid law that protects their sources. Most of the time they have no sources and just make things up and say their sources, so no one can investigate them! It's real B.S! And that's what Vanity Fair did claim they stand by their sources LMAO!

Sorry to get off topic but, I can't stand this women!

yeah i hate her big time. a horrible name from the past. makes me sick these ppl are here

Sad and scary that people still say that. :( Michael has always been a wonderful father to the children. And there is no doubt that Michael is the father of them all. Why do these idiots of the press are still discussing this? :sigh:

Oh Jesus, so you're telling me that Maureen Orth's gonna add her two cents in too? and of course they are gonna go tabloid, I don't know why I thought otherwise! it also seems as though new private footage has been sold for this special as well.

Could someone PLEASE cement Mark Lesters mouth!

They managed to have all the slimeballs, rabbi, lester and orth.

I hope that TLC is not a program that a lot of people watch? I wouldn't know cause I'm not American.

That Lester is so creepy he makes me sick! Go spend time with your OWN children and stop obsessing over Michael's! His obsession is really scary to be honest.

It's a cable channel that does alright numbers. I think they average around 1-2 million viewers a night.

How sad there are laws protecting journalists so that they can lie about anything, but there are no laws to protect the children's privacy! Something is very much wrong here!

Still cant believe this is airing. I just wish that Michael has sued Orth for libel as what she wrote was just disgusting and as was said the boy she claimed had been molested had to go on TV and say 'look, this is completely made up.' She should have been fired straight away but she wrote a negative article about Michael Jackson so no one cared.

I agree 100%.

omg !!

Horrible.

And I bet Diane Dimond will show her hideous face too.

Funny how Katherine is doing nothing to stop this, she is their legal guardian she should at least pretend to try to stop this mess. It is her job to fight for them. Why is she doing nothing?! She and her lawyers are always quick to dispute rumors concerning HER. Why can't she step up for those parentless children

Mark Lester, is DESPICABLE being!!

His ex-wife & mother of his 4 children already EXPOSED him as a money-hungry, leeches, media whore ... but media give attention for her, HELL NO!!!

She says among several others things since early 1980s to 2002 - Liza Minnelli & David Guest wedding - M. Lester had NO contact/friendship with Michael.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2009/08/16/mark-is-a-fantasist-115875-21599726/

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...r-Jackos-children-No-hes-completely-nuts.html

Ps. Jane, ex-Lester looks EXACTLY as Debbie Rowe, their daughters (of Jane & Mark Lester) looks as Jane exactely as Paris looks with her mother. These DESPICABLE criature named M. Lester used the similar between Debbie & Jane for going with his LIES!!

In youtube have SEVERAL interviews in time of marriage of Debbie & MJ with persons of circle of Debbie saying she & Mj did sex for have the kids & STATES that MJ definitely is their BIOLOGICAL father.

Only tabloids readers could believe MJ would ask sperm for friends for have children, it's insanity
