Where can the Jackson's go from here...

I can only speak as a Jacksons fan but I know I would love the chance to see any of the brothers live and would also love to hear any new music they do. I don't expect it to of the quality of their 1969-81 prime but I would support them.

Janet has a large fan base she may not have sold out at every concert last year, her concerts were packed and the brothers has an old fans base and they will get new fans, if janet and the brothers came out with new music with the right producers I believe they will sellout stadiums.

yeah they could do shows but selling out stadiums is a ridiculous statement.at the end of the day the bros never toured until now cause it was always about getting mj onboard, he was the draw and the cash cow. but seeing as they dont have that anymore they may get ppl going to see them out of novelty factor and the fact they cant see mj so might aswell try for the next best thing. its like seeing queen without freddie. but even not even as good as that cause at least queen were intact upto freddies death and didnt split 30 agos

Janet is not going to do anything with her brothers. She didn't even want to do "Scream" after Mike begged and pleaded. What makes you think she'll work with the others? Ch...lol

She was willing back in 2007/8, she wanted to open for her beloved brothers and the only one who wasn't inclined toward a family tour was Michael that came out of her own mouth during the LKL interview. Her next project will flop regardless of her participating with those brothers or not.

That was 3 years ago. This is 2010. But of course she'd steal the show. I'm sure no one would have wanted to see her brothers try to relive music that no one had heard since the late 70.

Janet was asked to open for her brothers and she said yes. MJ wasn't inclined to perform with his brothers in that J5 reunion PERIOD it has nothing to do with MJ not wanting to work with Janet. I do recall MJ begging Janet to do Scream. Like another article said. "You know you've made it when MJ needs your help to get back on the charts".

ok, can SOMEBODY...ANYBODY please tell me when MJ ever BEGGED Janet to do Scream. Like... I seriously need some sort of written statement and not some BS hearsay cause you Janet die-hards love bringing that up like it's some sort of validation of Janet's importance or sucess. So please...some solid, credible proof of this "begging" episode would be nice. Please & Thank you!

if they toured together maybe they could sell out a stadium or a few cause janet tours on her own all the time and attracts thousands of fans but the brother should think about doing smaller venues.

michael didn't need to beg janet, he said he wanted to work with his sister and i'm sure she was just as excited to work with her brother.

In my opinion, the brothers think they can pick up where they left off, with the HUGE productions and everything that goes with having Michael Jackson as part of their act. Those days are long gone.

I remember one of the brothers mentioning a World Tour. No offense, but a World Tour at this point, is a pipe dream.

They should have taken their act on the road year's ago, instead of waiting around for Michael to join them. Maybe if they did that, they would have a better change at musical sucess now. They could have been out their singing the J5 songs AND songs that could have been written just for the FOUR of them. But alas, they spent too many years waiting for Michael to join them.

I'm afraid that, on a grand scale, their ship has sailed!

i agree i think they want to be on top of the world again, bless them. they need to realize they have nothing to prove, they're in history books. the best thing is for them to make music and tour just for the love of it, not to become the super popular again and make hit after hit though if they have another hit that would be nice and i think it'll give them alot of confidence for the future. unfortunately for them and any other jackson they will always be compared to michael...even janet who is an icon herself is compared to her big brother.

Janet has stated on multiple occasions that Mike asked her to do "Scream" after the success of RN1814. Then he asked her again during the Janet. era. Only after she had gotten off tour she agreed to do the song. And the irony of saying Janet fans need it to validate her success, yet at every turn you die-hard Mike fans like to think Mike is the reason behind all of her success and try to belittle her accomplishments. The point is he asked her more than once, and for obvious reasons.

And the obvious reasons are what???? lmao. According to you...He asked her to do scream after RN1814 right? ok, but was he or was he not ridding high of the sucess of BAD? So how was he "begging" her to do scream to "get back on the charts" (as somebody else put it)? again, according to you, he asked her again during the Janet era, but again, was he or was he not just fine (in terms of success) from Dangerous? This idea that he BEGGED her to do something to "get back on the charts" is funny as hell because (as we all have seen), Mike doesn't even need to promote his shit and it will still sell.

I know you Die-hards like to believe and tell yourself that Mike NEEDED Janet but that's just plain BS. What I remember is that while he did ask her to work with him, she said she wasn't ready to, because SHE didn't want to feel like (or have the public feel like) SHE was ridding HIS coatails... She wanted to feel like she had made it on her own first, so please...

Yeah, that's still not really begging. Begging would be if he constantly hounded her to do it. Asking twice is just... well... asking twice.

then u need a dictionary. begging is when u continually ask someone to do something. over a short period of time. going back to them over and over again. not asking someone once if they want to do something then god knows how many years later going back and saying fancy doing it this time instead.

well thats why u are on this board arent you? i do find it sad the amount of janet fans that come on here and try to attack mj in order to validate janet.says more about you than it does the ppl on this board who are obviously going ot be more supportive to mj as its an mj board.. its even sadder when its well know alot of mj fans are janets fans and vice versa. yet some want to make it into a competition. slightly more important things to worry aobut dont u think. then again probably not for some of you. grow up children

Aren't you being a bit dramatic? The topic is "Where can the Jacksons go from here?".

Twinkle's point is appropriate and there is nothing negative in stating the truth.

My personal opinion: True, Janet has not been selling much, but I think she can have a great comeback. She needs to stop singing about her tities though. That is so '90's. She needs to come out with meaningful songs.

As for the original questions, after watching last sunday's show....there is nowhere for the Jacksons to go to.
Was I the only one shaking my head last sunday? They were in lockdown to discuss music, but they ended doing absolutely NOTHING. I don't think the brothers (beside Jackie, my fave by the way) know what to do in music anymore. They relied a lot on MJ and now they seem like a deer caught in the headlights.

Jermaine keeps repeating they need a great producer to give them a hit...LOL. Clueless man.

You could have the biggest producer in the record industry right now, and still fall flat. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis haven't had a hit in ages ANYWAY....What does Jermaine think JJ&TL will do for them, when they, themselves, don't even know which lead to follow.

I think Jackie should go solo. He seems the most artistic one, and he seems to have a better grasp of reality.
