UK FANS - Don't forget you can download HMH on iTunes as of today. Lets get it to number one!

For everyone who has already purchased the track on I-tunes we can still push Hold My Hand up the charts by getting another copy from another site, they all count towards the official chart on sunday.

MJ is currently number 14 on the official midweek chart, this includes all downloads & physical singles purchased on Sunday & Monday.

If we all put our hands in our pockets once again with just a few more pennies we can make all the difference, think Tesco has the cheapest option at 79p -

Does anyony know a good way to promote the single on facebook to all his fans & our personal friends, i it easy to put a link on the MJ page & on our news feeds etc, this could generate hundreds of downloads?

Of course, Tesco , Play , Amazon , HMV etc, all the downloands & physical sales count towards Sundays official chart.

Obviously buying from Tesco will not affect I-Tunes chart and vice versa but it doesn't matter we only care about total sales across all the shops for Sundays official main chart.
 
Ok thanks. I didn't think supermarkets counted towards the charts, I don't know where I got that from. I will probably download a few more times before Sunday but I will see how it goes first. :)
 
Yeah Supermarkets definitely count, Tesco is biggest retailer in the country by far, its number 2 on Tesco chart so thats a good sign, probably because its so cheap on their site at just 79p lol

If you've already bought your copies and you have enough, get busy requesting, im thinking the more the track is played to the public the more it will get downloaded so i guess its just as important.
Just requested at 10 radio shows.
 
The shitty BLACK EYES PEAS track is now no 1 and HMH is still no 12.
please lets continue to encourage people to buy the track

If I want to request a song to be played during daytime, am I ok to email the dj's for that specific time at night for the following day? I'm at work during the day and have no signal at work on my phone so I can't request during daytime and more importantly peak hours.
 
I'm assuming as long as its in their inbox it counts. I would assume that if they had an inbox full of requests for the same track they would think "oh i'd better play that". Yeah give it a go.

HMH Has move up 1 place on the midweek chart to #13.

Unless it gains some momentum in the next couple of days I doubt it's going to make the Top10.

The midweek chart as leaked from the Official Charts Company shows the single (including all digital and physical sales from all registered retailers) at #13. This includes sales from 00:01 Sunday to Tuesday night.
 
to be honest im actually suprised coldplay is only no 10....shows how much x factor crap is dominating true artists in the uk...black eyed peas new material is shit, its all over the top electric sounds which wasnt in the top 10 but as soon as they performed on x factor over ther weekend it goes to no.1

This is what mj needs, some kind of promotion if they really want a top 10 single!
 
Getting to number 11 with minimal promotion is a great achievement. When the album and video come out, I expect it to raise even further.

Once it breaks the top 10, it will be visible on the iTunes Store startup page, without having to click "See all". A great help ;)
 
Its really sad that the charts are not really about music anymore. If its promoted or on the X factor, its an effortless chart topper, regardless of if its good or not. If its a great song and not promoted/hasn't got a video, it stands no chance!

Every single hit has to have a video or it fails to get enough promotion. Well, if that's the case, SONY are in trouble.

I'm downloading the track, but also considering getting the physical copy too. Can I just ask a question though...

What are the other 3 versions of HMH on the single? Are any of them good or just plain alternative mixes? Any responses much appeciated!
 
I think it's amazing it's got to No. 11! I still haven't heard it on my local radio (Heart) since the first play and have seen no TV promotion at all!
