I believe the second version was recorded fully by an orchestra.

But wow... what a great song. I love it. Can't wait to hear it on Monday.

-Michael's voice sounds 80's
-the Jackson brothers are in the background vocals and Michael hasnt worked with them since the 80's
-there's just piano and finger snaps, no actual melodies, musical arrangements.....

THE SONG IS OLD.

Far as I know, and I searched the board a bit, Michael didn't work with his brothers for This is it......they didn't lay down background vocals recently......why are we fooling ourselves?

No, you're not. I looked her up on Wiki and it says she had a hit in '89 that was high enough up the US charts that I should've known it (not this song, but another one) and I was like... huh? Don't know her name or any of her songs. Weird.

Yeah... seems like it is the original recording from the 80's. I'd love to hear newer vocals but oh well...

The song as it is... it's still much better than anything new out there. Really.

kenny didn't say anything about 'This Is It' but since alot of people was tweeting about the snippet being on youtube & Kenny was tweeting too,I figured he got 'hip' to it being on youtube. because a s soon as it is uploaded it says removed due to claim by Sony. i'm just guessing thats what happened. I've tried sereval links 2 youtube from people here in USA

As for that link above on youtube... this is what it says when i click it.

Luckily This Is It will be in it's full glory on Monday!

THe vocals are from 1980!
And when you buy the This is it Cd you will get two versions of the song. The second version comes with a new orchestra music that was recorded a few weeks ago.

I think his voice sounds like it's from around the Bad Era? His voice is not as "light" and smooth as during his Jacksons days around 1980. His voice is too sharp her too, so my guess would be around the bad era.

The song is great it's called NEW because we never heard it before! Doesn't matter the yr it was recorded people! lol I mean we can't have everything of MJ in one shot! Leave room for later on. Because there is a lot that will be coming! I mean, damn let the movie and soundtrack come out first! GEEZ!

The version of This is it on Youtube from that girl safire is very nice too!
