THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

dont debate on what is new ....call it "lost and found" it is out now so it is alive again - that is what matters

Couldnt agree more! Let's just enjoy - after all there has been so much sadness around - lets just enjoy something different x

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

I guess the 43 sec. snippet will be the orchestra version and the Safire version represents the other (up-beat) version on the This is it album? hmm we'll see tomorrow.

Yup agreed 100%.

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

Song sound great! Can't wait for the full version

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

The song is great it's called NEW because we never heard it before! Doesn't matter the yr it was recorded people! lol I mean we can't have everything of MJ in one shot! Leave room for later on. Because there is a lot that will be coming! I mean, damn let the movie and soundtrack come out first! GEEZ!

The version of This is it on Youtube from that girl safire is very nice too!

I'm happy! lol

i agree. i think, if anything, we should take this as a sign of good music in mj's vault.

I also think the 43 sec song is the orchestra version. The music sounds so fresh and new

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

To me vocals doesn't sound like 80's, I really think it's either new song or re-recorded 84's one :O

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

Ohhh boy....
Why it's so important if the song is new or old ... ?!?!
What's the DEAL???
It's MICHAEL'S!!!
He's singing
He composed it

@#$%

It matters, because apparantly there's a NEW version of the song which Michael wanted to use for the This is It shows. So, if that's the case, $ony is once again being an ass.

Edit: actually....let me re-think that. Maybe Michael wanted to use the 'old' 80's recording for the show...and only added the orchestra. I'll just stick with that, for my own sake and peace of mind.

the song was recorded in 1980...registered in 1984

Vocals are not current, you can hear the youth in his voice plain as day.

*shakes head in disbelief*

Shaking my head with you. This is just like when people thought that Jason Malachi guy was MJ: "any real fan can hear it's Michael singing!":doh::doh:

Uhm, NO.

??? The new version with orchestra is on the cd! So what are you talking about??

It sounds 100% 80s!

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

He may have done new vocals for it? I mean if he was ending the show with it, he may have done a version for playback?

:punk:

Seriously. This happened when T25 came out and there was this huge debate about For All Time which was originally created around Thriller time and later pulled out and worked on during Dangerous sessions. Many were saying it was a Dangerous era song and couldn't imagine that the history of the song actually dated back to the early 80's. Little Susie was the same. Old song that was finished and released over a decade later. *SIGH* If we've never heard it before, then it's NEW, imo, regardless of when it was originally written, created, worked on, etc. And the fact that Safire did a version of the TII won't take away from Michael's version...at least for me. Hearing his voice on the song will make the world of difference.

Anyway, I like what I've heard so far...and since I like the Safire version, I imagine the MJ version will be eons better. Can't wait to hear IT in full and in better quality.

BTW... 43 seconds (4+3=7)...Had to point that out for all the numerology fans. :)

Thanks mkgenie for the song snippet and full lyrics. Made my day. :flowers:

RIP Michael. :(

LOL! I Was gonna say that...but u beat me to it.... "Great minds think alike." :D

??? But why should he record new vocals? He never sounded better than in the early 80s why record again when you cannot make it better?? A 50 year old cannot sing like a 20 year old. If you get older the voice gets thinner and you lose some of your vocal power-every singer has to deal with it.You thin Paul Mcartney can sing and sream like he did when he was with the beatles? Doesen´t make sense.
ANd if he did new vocals-where can we hear them?? Not in the 43sec clip the vocals are 100% 80s.

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

Of course he would have recorded new vocals, he was about to do his 'This Is It' shows in London all these years after recording the original version!!

I'm actually pretty sure it's around the Bad Era. Listen carefully to his voice, it's too sharp to be from around 1980 + his voice is a little darker than then.

no it´s not to sharp. Listen to Why from 3 T or listen to THis place Hotel.

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

the same voice as in Love never felt so good-and that is good so because Love never felt so good is in my Top Ten of MJ songs.

No, his voice is darker on this one. Listen to songs like Can You Feel It, it's a big difference.

Listen to "Love never felt so good"

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

Listen to "Love never felt so good"

Yeah, I'm listening to it right now, it's BIG difference. Much more smooth than what we've heard on This is it and his voice is darker on the short clip we've heard of this is it

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

Oh My Gawsh! Oh My Gawsh! Oh My Gawsh! =-D. I'm A 20 Year Old Man, acting like a 12 year old girl.

From Michaels opening voice I fell in love with this song. And to me it sounds as if this song was recently re-recorded and that's the version that we're getting. But really it doesn't matter its OUR Michael, and I don't think every new topic about anything Michael is to fall out into an argument of what's right and wrong, I swear some of you act like children.

But Anywho, I'm going to LOVE this song, I already feel it in my heart, I already can't get Michaels voice out of my mind, and I'm listening to a 43-second snippet over and over again. =-P

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

Oh my goodness this is amazing .
but i am so so sad :(

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

OMG, what a gorgeous song! I absolutely LOVE it!!! Can't wait to hear the full version. Keep listening to it over and over again. Fantastic!

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

after several listens to the snippet I can tell that those vocals recorded RECENTLY, can you hear me...............RECENTLY.........Not the 80's

the song original version recorded in the 80's but this is no doubt a newly re-recorded version.

Re: THIS IS IT new song 43 seconds (or listen to Safire's version I Never Heard!)

Absolutely Adore this song already! It could be 80's vocals or now, not sure. If you listen to the Human Nature clip from rehearsal his voice sounds very smooth just like on this clip, so the vocals could be recent.
