Grrr damn internationalness making me miss yet another episode. Just need to wait until it comes to the UK I guess. Seems like a fun episode and enjoyed the discussion about the J5. I do love the brothers, I don't always agree with some things they do, but I still love them. They are grieving and its horrible. But the J5 will never be the J5 without Michael. Michael was so special, he was magical. When he walked into a room there was this amazing presence and awe. Without the magic the brothers are just four guys in their 50s in a band together.

You know, it is possible to support the brothers without having to bring Michael down in doing so. Especially when, in my eyes, the argument is a moot point because it's not even true...cut it out.

You can talk, celebrate, go bananas over, etc. the other brothers/family members without bringing Michael down. It will NOT be tolerated. One more disrespectful post towards Michael and this thread WILL be closed. PERIOD!

Jermaine is going through a lot i just think he so ready to do music again cause if u looked at the second episode he is very well known in his wife country. He just want to get back out there and do the Jackson 5 thing. But Marlon and Jackie are 100% right there are not ready they do need a lot of time they just can't do a concert/tour with no rehearsals, band etc they have to bring it. This day in age is different many young people are not to aware of who the Jackson 5 are only know of Michael because of his popularity at the end of the day Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Michael, Marlon, and Randy make up the Jackson Dynasty 4 life.

the problem is that the brothers talk about one last group re-union with ALL the brothers. ALL the brothers. they even said so last night. I just sat there with my mouth open. ALL the brothers?!?! do they even know what they're saying?

unless they realize (and I'm not saying they don't at all, but this needs to be talked about in this show, otherwise there's this HUGE white elephant sitting RIGHT THERE and the truth is being ignored) that Michael was the heart and soul of their band, and that without him being the frontman their group is forever crippled, they will not be able to move forward. it's all well and good to mourn and say "we lost a brother", but they need to acknowledge the truth on this show and say "we lost an inherent part of the J5 who can never, ever be replaced and without whom we are half the band we once were.

the point of a reality show is acknowledgment of truth.

acknowledge it, face it, let it go.

i used to wonder about Marlon and how he coped with being the Latoya of the brothers. I am so happy that he has coped very well by laughing at the situation.
marlon was the onl boy that wasn't a child prodigy. all the other brothers had exceptional talent at a young age, Marlon may have suffered slightly by being a twin. many twins are late developers. what i notice about him apart from his sense of humour is his willingness to let the other brothers take the lead, not just in music but in many other stuff, ie when the brothers had to chose the ladies hand bags. Marlon tends to be non committal and is happy to go along with his brothers. that's how he has coped , bless him.

that is a very defeatist attitude to take. the brothers can and will move forward. they have got real skills all of them are exceptional musicians and they are not just a boy band. They are regaining their original fans as we speak. these fans were in it for the Music. they will move forward, if they want to.
may i just add that stories that the brothers were keen to reunite doesn't seem true in these shows at all. They all seem very reluctant and would much rather doing their own projects. tito is managing his sons and making his albums as well as touring, marlon doing Africa and jermaine spents lots of time in the middlwe east. probably with his wife's rich family. lol

it's not defeatist. it's acknowledging reality.

however, if they did do it in ep 4, I must have missed it. if they did it, more power to them. they are rather adorable, yes, even Jermaine Mr. I-Me-Mine -- so I hope they do well. I just don't see them having the kind of success they foresee.

I think Marlon, Tito and Jackie will be fine with whatever they have. it'll be Jermaine -- as always -- who'll be the most frustrated with any perceived lack of progress. he was always the most ambitious save Michael, and he's suffered the most from not having reached the rung in the ladder he felt he deserved.

This was on their Twitter last night, "We. Love. You. Jackson 5 Forever! Always, Jackie Tito Jermaine and Marlon... and our beloved brother Michael Jackson"
So yea, they are very well aware of Michael and his part of the their brotherhood... I think.

You are so right. They are just so darn nice. They can't even stay upset with one another for more than 5 minutes and then they are hugging on each other are laughing or joking. I love when Marlon and Jermaine hold hands when they do interviews. Their love for one another is so evident.

I am sure there are many families that wished their conflicts were as mundane and handled so quickly as the brothers.

It just seems that two of the brothers really want to do it and the other two dont care either way and they would only be doing it because that is what is expected of them. Thats not the right reasons if you want to be successful.

I Agree. Like i said before, they keep saying the "magic is gone." Magic=Michael.
Not that the other brothers aren't talented, of course they are. But face it, its hard to deal with everything when almost ALL THEIR SONGS were lead sang by Michael. And I still think that the reason why Jackie and Marlon are not so into everything is BECAUSE of Michael's death. They are just not feeling it. And less if all of them are always arguing with each other.

Tito has a good ear but the other brothers don't listen to his advice. That IMO is whats getting on all they nerves. The jackson song sounds Good but whats missing they cant bring back.

Jermaine is my biggest problem with this show. To me hes more of a Big baby wrapped in a scarf and shades. Always wondering who's going to take care of him, Whats for eats and whos cooking it.

This whole lock down thing was a waste i think. I mean they really didn't do anything but fight and argue over silly stuff...

Michael may have been a solo star, but he had no problems working with others. Alot of his music in his last album and even Thriller 25 had a lot of input from other artists and song writers. The people he worked with said that despite his stardom, he was easy to get along and to work with. He was also opened to new ideas and input from others.

You saw in TII how he would guide his team and gave them moments to shine when it could had been all about him. So, it shows he was a team player. Jermaine clearly is not. He actually acts the way people thought Michael would act at his level of stardom.

Yup, which is where you see the difference in personalities. If michael would have acted half the way Jermaine is acting it would have been in the press years ago. Michael had no problem cooperating with people. Jermaine even had some problems cooperating with the people in the studio when he was doing that video in India at the beginning of the show.

This is not bashing against the brothers but it's obvious that they are missing something and that is Michael. He was the lead singer. Now it's like they all want to lead. There is nothing wrong with that but he was the core of the group and now that's gone. It's just not the same anymore. I liked their song that they were doing but they are not used to this situation.

yeah, and Adnan Sami was incredibly courteous to him. maybe people here don't know but Adnan Sami is a HUGE star in India. his behavior was impeccable. Jermaine was like a spoilt child. *shakes head*

This is not bashing against the brothers at all but it's obvious that they are missing something and that is Michael. He was the lead singer. Now it's like they all want to lead. There is nothing wrong with that but he was the core of the group and now that's gone. It's just not the same anymore. I liked their song that they were doing but they are not used to this situation. I don't feel like everyone's heart is into this. Even the producers in episode 2 or something said how can you have the Jackson 5 without Michael or something like that. I am not putting anyone down and if they want to perform then it's their right but it's not the same anymore. I think maybe it's too soon and they should wait when it feels right and not force something on themselves they are not really ready to do.
