I have quite a lot of posts dedicated to Conrad Murray – whether it’s his behaviour after Michael Jackson’s death, his attorney’s statements or his legal situation, a lot has been said. I have now decided to look at who Dr. Murray was before June 25th 2009 happened.
There is one thing we can’t overlook, there is one thing we can’t deny :
Conrad Murray is key. He’s the cornerstone of whatever in hell or heaven is happening right now regarding Michael Jackson’s disappearance.
A simple Google search will help us here. First an foremost, I tried
vitals.com, which is an online which is a find-a-doctor service that also allows patients to rate said doctors. What comes up in his profile is pretty shallow : basically, an Internal Medecine doctor specialized in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases, which office is located at the Acres Home and Heart Institute Inc in Houston. The website indicates he completed medical school in 1989, at the Meharry Medical College School Of Medecine, which is located in Nashville, Tennessee, in addition to a residency in California, and two fellowships in Arizona and California. Besides poor ratings by patients, not much else is disclosed.
To our common knowledge, he mostly practiced in Houston, Texas so I moved on to the Texas Medical Board website :
http://reg.tmb.state.tx.us/OnLineVerif/Phys_ReportVerif.asp?ID_NUM=481975&Type=LP . This gets more interesting. We learn that Conrad Robert Murray was born in
1958, besides the match on his college education. I tried the California Medical Board website which disclosed similar info, barring the birthdate (no disclosure), same for the Nevada Medical Board website. Complaints filed by the Texas Medical Board to restrict his license to practice are registered at all three websites.
Next step is his legal team’s pressroom website,
http://houstoncriminallaw-pressroom.com/, which pleases us with a detailed biography of Murray’s life. What do we learn there ? Murray was born in Granada, then moved to Trinidad and Tobago with is mother where became a citizen. “In 1978, at the age of 25, he met his father for the first time, Rawle Andrews, M.D.” – we can deduct then that, if Murray was 25 in 1978, the biography implies he was born in
1953. First discrepancy occurs. His education information matches the boards’ info – it specifies that he created the Acres Heart and Vascular Institute in Houston after he moved to Las Vegas, moving his practice back and forth.
As for meeting MJ, it only says that Murray became his personal physician in May 2009.
What else have we got ?
Biography.com presents us with a similar biography,
http://www.biography.com/articles/Dr.-Conrad-Murray-481814 .
Born in 1953, again. Acres Home, bla bla bla, Trinidad, etc. It then proceeds to mention that
“Murray had first met Michael Jackson in 2006 when the singer, a frequent Vegas visitor, had contacted Dr Murray about treating one of his children for an unknown medical situation. Reports indicate that the two men soon became friends and, as Jackson began making plans for his upcoming concert tour, he hired Dr. Murray to be his personal physician for an astound 150 000$ a month”. Other tabloid websites reported that Murray and Michael met this way, however no elements of concrete proof or witness accounts have ever confirmed or verified it. I’m curious to know where that information came from exactly. You can always trust tabloids not to disclose their sources though, as they usually turn out to be virtual. Biography.com does reveal some sort of source though. The article is ended by :
“© 2009 A&E Television Networks. All rights reserved.” You might already know A&E, it’s a cable and satellite TV network, a joint venture with The Walt Disney Company and NBC Universal, in the United States, which also produced and aired the
Jackson Brothers’ reality show last year.
TMZ.com published in December 2009 that Murray was shooting a TV documentary but it specified that it was being directed by a British media company, so not the same crew. I’m not sure what conclusions to draw from this — why would A&E care to redact and relay Conrad Murray’s biography, that remains a question. UPDATE : Biography.com is a website which belongs to A&E.
Next documents we have concerns Murray’s past – a shady past, that is. Several news outlets, including
ETOnline and ABCNews divulged that Conrad Murray was arrested on domestic violenc charges in
1994, complete with a mugshot :
The mugshot states his birthdate as being
1959.
Another birthdate discrepancy. Something else that caught everyone’s attention was that Murray’s defense stated that
he was never previously convicted during his February arraignement – he even reiterated it at last April’s courtdate. Again, those files were unearthed, without full disclosure of sources, by the media. Again, discrepancies appear. Again, this adds to the mystery that shrouds Murray’s identity.
Next piece of info : Murray tried suing for AEG on the grounds that he was not paid for the services rendered to MJ, despite a binding contract agreement between the company and himself – basically, that he was on AEG’s payroll. AEG already had state before, as reported by ETOnline.com in July 22nd, that
Murray was Michael’s personal physician, that they would have preferred for cost-effective purposes to hire a doctor in London, but that
Michael insisted on getting Murray on board. AEG responded to the Murray’s legal row by stating, according to TMZ.com, that the mentioned
contract was never signed by MJ or AEG, only by Murray, thus refusing to pay Murray the alleged 300 000$ due. Through a string of interviews, Michael’s entourage claimed
they had never met Murray, nor knew who he was, nor was mentioned by Michael (including Frank DiLeo, Arnie Klein and Lou Ferrigno who trained MJ for his TII concerts). Though some tabloids reported that Murray greeted Michael’s family at the hospital, it seems they also were
unaware of Murray’s existence till he was implicated in Michael’s death.
Last but not least, another official report on Murray’s identity that reiterates his birthdate as
1953 :
Posted by TMZ.com, this was on the LA County Sherriff’s official website, when Murray was booked in February after his arraignement. It used to be apparently possibe to check out this info on the website, but I tried out the number on VineLink.com and on the LA County Sherriff’s website, in vain, no results showed up. Several hoaxsters posted a while ago on different forums that they had found, in March, through the search feature, the whole booking information :

Actual Release Date: 02/25/2010 Release Time: 0715
Again, the
1953 birthdate seems to be confirmed. Also, Murray was apparently released more than 2 weeks after being booked, according to that information. Our investigative alarm seems to go off again.
So… what ? So, how in frickin’ hell was Murray able to register himself for medical license under a
birthdate different than what was used in two legal proceedings he was involved in : that is being booked after the 2009 arraignement, which states his birthdate as 1953 also reiterated by both biographies found on his legal team’s website and an article on Biography.com, and his apparent 1994 arrest where he was supposed to be born in 1959. How does that happen ? They verify that info to a tee – not that it’s so hard, you just take the frickin’ ID document, read and copy. Something is rotten in Denmark. And that something solves it all.
We still don’t know how Murray came into Michael’s life. They couldn’t have “just met”. MJ is a world-famous musical icon – if he needs a doctor, for himself or his kids, he doesn’t sit down with a phonebook to peruse it in search for a random, inadequate cardiologist. That does not happen. He probably has a string of assistants to do the dirty work for him – I’m quite surprised that they wouldn’t run a background check on anyone who would enter his life in such significant manner, at least patient ratings – that, or Murray was introduced to Michael by someone he really trusted.
I’m also surprised that not one newspaper, not one journalist, cared to look further into Murray’s past and how he came into Michael’s life.
Because we find out how Murray entered it, we find out who introduced him, where and when and the mystery is mostly solved by, among other things, helping us draw out conclusions on Murray’s intentions in regards to Michael, if they were benevolent or malicious. Now, it’s up to us to do that work. Anything can help. I was wondering myself what we could do ourselves to find out such info. I’m going to try calling the patients who were “kind” enough to divulge their phone numbers on Murray’s lawyer’s website, to see if Murray ever mentioned working or meeting MJ – you can too, all the information is here :
