Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

Already purchased plane tickets from Sweden and from France to the first concert. Also booked hotel. And if I can't cancel these...
Waiting for officials.

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

Can the people who are saying "don't think it's MJ's fault" please get a reality check!

You can't say one minute that MJ is "very hands on" with everything then when the shit goes down say it's not his fault.

He is the boss, he agreed to the dates, he is "very hands on" from the lighting, to the stage, costumes and everything, therefore he is responsible.

Oh that's great going to the 1st of March show for me! I start Graduate work in February 2010 (after graduating from university) and what am I gonna tell my boss? I've been there for a month and I'll be like "oh yeah I'm gonna be away for a while to watch an MJ concert." FAT CHANCE.

To do this less than 2 months to go is a joke.

We defend him for the sleep overs, the trial, his appearance, rumours but I am not defending him on this one. Business is Business.

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

just checked on myticketmaster page it says I've only got my 1st august tickets not my 12th July ones atm.

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

We are handing out bans now. Sorry but some of you are out of control! Knock off the insults to one another and the insults to Michael. If you don't like this thread then by all means move on or better yet leave the whole board. This nonsense will stop right here, right now!

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

Oh I'm so happy I didn't buy any plain tickets or hotel rooms for the 26th concert. Now just have to wait and see if the entire tour gets moved.

But yeah, it sucks for those who are screwed right now, but the reality of showbusiness is, nothing is reliable.

But one thing is certain. It won't be cancelled, because AEG has invested alot of dinero in Michael now and will sue his ass for all he has got left and Mike will be on welfare if anything go cancelled.

Trust me, the delays means that the building of the stage and technical stuff is taking longer, and this is very common. But yeah, Mike should have given himself more time. 4 months is not enough for a show this big.

I don't think that Michael does not know what this delay will mean for fans. He know, and he is forced to do it anyway. Its either that or half the show he wants to put out. And sorry I know this bites, but the show comes first.

I highly doubt that there is any other reason for Michael to do this. And as I said, he probably does not have a choice. Yes he makes decisions, but he does not control when all the stage props and dancers and stage itself is to be ready. He can tell them, but its the people doing the work, the people bringing Michael what he and his crew needs. You have the auditions. Michael is not doing this alone, and he depends upon everyone holding their schedule. But if delivery of certain props gets delayed, then Michael is out of control to handle it. That is how it is when you plan something this big. Shit happens.

But yeah I would get so pissed if I had booked plaintickets and hotel and had to go another date. But I would want to know why and try to understand, and not judge.

But thats easy for me to say.

Good luck folks. I'm sure this will not affect the outcome of the tour, and I am sure this is a sign that Michael WILL give us the best show we have ever seen.

Very nice and balanced response. I am someone with a date that got moved and plane tickets from the US. I am going to be pragmatic about it all and make the best of it. I am sure they didn't like doing this. It must have been a tough choice. I won't lose as much as some fans though. I feel sorry for the fans that really can't get ANY of their airfare or hotel money back but suggest they double check. Sometimes you can change a date for a small fee even if it is unrefundable.

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

My heart is wanting to come out of my mouth right now… I mean, I'm still enjoying my vacations in London nonetheless, but if my ticket gets to be rescheduled for some other date, I can't afford to go there twice. Especially because I won't have more vacation time…

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

AEG is making hundreds of millions of dollars off of this tour. Trust me, they are going to do something to accomodate fans. Maybe they'll pay for re-booking of hotels/planes, etc.

Just WAIT for the announcement before people start personally attacking Michael.

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

I think its 'effed up that most fans would have booked for July 8th - 14th (ish) as they were the first dates that went on sale and everyone who loves Mike would want those tickets.. Now we have to wait until the very 'effing end to see Mike who has already performed to people who couldn't give a shit.

We get the tail end of the tour and probably the tail end of his performance, power, agility and.. EFFORT. So thx..

I don't think it's fair to say that ppl who have tix for later dates didn't give a ish. Some ppl chose those dates becuz that was the best suited times for them to see him. Not all of MJ's fans push to the front of the lines for things so it's not necessary that the only ones who are at the front are the ones who care the most. Some of the responses in this thread shows that, I think.

Now, I completely understand ppls frustration. Had I made plans I know I'd be upset right now, too. But I think saying certain fans didn't care or bother based on when they selected their tix is going a bit too far.

If he's rescheduling so the show can be great and you lot don't complain, then great. Perhaps he and AEG took their chances and decided they'd rather have you pissed now than pissed later after seeing a show that wasn't up to par. Either way folks are gonna itch. I suppose to be fair that ALL fans got a shot at seeing a good show they thought about those of you in the first few dates and didn't want YOU to miss out on the greatness everyone else will get to experience. I mean really think about this. If any of this is true, he's doing it for YOU....or would you all rather see the unfinished shows done half-arsed and then hear about how all the other fans had a better experience after the show was perfected? How would THAT have been fair...after all the money you guys have paid for flight/hotel, ect... One way or another ppl would be disappointed and there would be itching.

Not having a go at anyone, but I think if ppl just stopped to think about WHY this was done, they might be more understandable about it. Do you honestly want Michael to do a show where things aren't finished or done is such a hurry that it puts him or his dancers in harm's way? How does that help him or YOU. I don't think anyone here is THAT selfish or wreckless, right? I know money is hard to come by but now you have plenty of time to do whatever needs to be done to make new arrangements and see an awesome show!

I agree. the insults etc are very childish in my opinion - but we still have the right to express our anger over this situation - in a respectful manner of course

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

Four days changed.......This means I can't go because it is going to cost me another $10,000 dollars and I just can't afford that. This is very disappointing. I can't cancel my trip. My kids are going to be crushed.

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

What! I booked everything!!!!! What is this! What about the ticket i have won here at mjjc! Gary? I am so mad right now!!!!!!

Gary will be on soon. He's sorting things with AEG right now. If this scenario is true then your ticket will be moved to 13 July 2009. I don't know if your hotel or flight can be accommodated. Please bear with us!

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

Jesus Christ, for pushing only 5 days back I have to wait until March to see him in concert, I bought tickets for those three first dates and I booked flight and hotel between July 6th and 13th, which means that I have to leave the city when the first concert starts! Talk about godd*mn annoying! Please God, I hope this isn´t true :(! We must start an petition for doing the concerts as planned on those dates!

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

What's even worse for me is that the opening night has changed to July 13... I would've gone on July 14... THAT's the day AFTER the first concert... ooh man:(

Now I have to wait almost a year, and there will be so many people seeing him before me... and it will all be on YouTube.. gone is the surprise.

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

i feel soooo bad for you Ape!!!!

Yes. I agree, and I dont blame MJ. But its very unprofessional to do it like this, AEG Live, should work their ass of and make the scene/stage, ready for the 8th of July. 5 more days, what does that help, they got like 50 days to the 8th of July....

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

My ticketmaster says I don't have tickets anymore !!!

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

Guys, do you stop for a second and listning to yourself???

Not enough that some of you blaming Michael for this, now some of you are saying they don't wanna go now???

That's it? you giving up? after you waited so long for this to happen?

I bet if Michael will see your comments here, he will be VERY disappointed as well.

This is not the awesome fans of Michael Jackson that I used to know...
I don't know what happened to you.
Seriously. :/

Re: Ticketmaster Announce Rescheduling Of Opening Shows [All threads merged]

You know, I symphathize with those of you who may lose money, but keep in mind that these are normal, inherent risks when you buy tickets to go to a concert.

And I challenge some of you like billiejean1, to do research and see that other prime concert-givers have had to CANCEL performances. I read about is so many times as headline news. So stop using this as a MJ thing; it isn't. Let's be fair about that.

And I truly wish AEG et al would use their reach and bargain with airlines re refunding/rescheduling tickets.

Hotel prices should be refundable for the most part.
