Important info about TII DVD, agree?

I want tell you this, because it is very important for my seen. (I am sorry about my bad english)

I have heard some fans says they want to "boycotting" TII DVD because SONY want just money. But listen:

Sony release this DVD'n to test the market. Sony holds the rights to all concerts Jackson has in the past (Victory Tour, Bad Tour, Dangerous Tour and History Tour) Now it's a golden opportunity for the dropping performances from these tours out on DVD, but first market tested. It has only been previously released an official live DVD (Dangerous Tour Bucharest) and there was no great success.

Now the interest is much larger, and if it is successful with this is it, this will be a motivating factor for Sony to release mature concerts, some fans have called for many years now. If however the sale will be bad, this could lead to that we will not see so many releases of concerts, and it would be a great loss.

So by boycotting This Is It, you are helping to destroy the other releases of the concerts that are far more interesting than this is it.

Bad Tour is very popular and is definitely a concert DVD that will delight fans worldwide. But if Sony believes that it will not sell, so they might not let it out.

You have to think a whole here. I understand that it is against Sony, but Sony has been in conflict with MJ before, and no MJ fans boycotted their products because of the former, because it only damages MJ.
Important

We are addicted to Sony if we want to see more of MJ in the future. That is the only.

They own 50% of everything, so it is they who decide what we will see.

AGREE??

Re: Important info about TII DVD, agree?

Sony don't hold the rights to Michael's past concerts. It is the estate that holds the rights to them since Michael owned the rights to them.

Re: Important info about TII DVD, agree?

Okey, but if I now have got wrong information about the past concerts, it is maybe important anywase so the estate see that MJ dvd's sells well?

Re: Important info about TII DVD, agree?

why are there boycotts anyway, do you know what you are doing to his estate and his name , this is his comeback and if it doesnt succeed it just one more thing the media has to put the final nails in his coffin

Re: Important info about TII DVD, agree?

how r u gonna have a comeback and ur dead? the sales mean nothing to michael anymore. it'll sell whether the real fans go or not.

Re: Important info about TII DVD, agree?

I believe the “boycotting” nonsense was started by some hater.

Re: Important info about TII DVD, agree?

All this Boycott is by people who do not like Michael and fans gets confused.

Re: Important info about TII DVD, agree?

I for one never care what the official fandom stance is on purchasing merch or boycotting stuff or whatever. If I want it, I'll get it. If it's another greatest hits package with one new song, then I'll just torrent the new song and be done with it. In this case, TII the DVD is worth getting, TII the CD is not. Easy peasy.

Re: The DVD ...

The DVD will, of course , contain the Movie itself.. but do u guys think it will contain more songs too like Dangerous etc ?
when i bought the this is it album,it had a leaflet inside it about the dvd,it said it will contain extras,so these could possibally be on the dvd maybe.

Re: The DVD ...

Re: Important info about TII DVD, agree?

I will be the first in line to buy any MJ concert footage

Re: The DVD ...

The leaflet says

Loaded with never-before-seen extras!

Look for it soon

Re: The DVD ...

I think theres a little bit TOO much speculation. None of us actually know anything about what he rehearsed, what's going to be on the dvd, or when it will come out. So let's hold that thought until new info arrives..

P.S. I know you mean well...lol

Re: The DVD ...

oh. I thought the day michael passed he was about to do dangerous , who is it and dirty diana ?

I thought he did rehearse Dangerous. Somebody who was there said it was ok performance. I don't know if it's true though.

This Is It DVD release date?

I'm confused, is it not coming out till next year? If so, how are people able to pre order it already?

Re: This Is It DVD release date?

The Region 2 release date has been announced today. Its January 25th 2010 and I presume the Region 1 release date is exactly the same.

DVD windows debate: Sony had planned pre-christmas "This is It" DVD launch

DVD windows debate: Sony had planned pre-christmas "This is It" DVD launch

Forget concession prices or digital cinema, the most contentious issue between Hollywood studios and theater owners is the window of time between a movie’s theatrical release and when a film becomes available on DVD.

The LA Times just reported here that Sony Pictures backed off their plans to unveil This is It before Christmas after the theater chains threatened to pull the Michael Jackson documentary from its screens since it violated the agreed-upon deal that studios would preserve at least three months between a film’s theatrical release and when you can watch it in the comfort of your own home. “We feel that a four-month window is the proper way to do business most of the time,” Sony’s vice-chairman Jeff Blake tells EW.com. “My argument here was this was a limited run and should be treated differently.” The theater chains didn’t agree and rather than risk receiving their full support (This Is It bowed on 6,000 screens across the country) Sony opted to postpone the DVD release til first quarter 2010.

It’s not a new story that theater owners are terrified about preserving their market share from competing technologies. But in a day where you can watch your favorite TV show on Hulu a day after it bows on the network, how would your movie going habits change if you knew a movie that opens in theaters would be available on DVD in a mere 45 days? Would you avoid going to the movies altogether? Or if it’s a movie you really want to see, would the DVD release alter your race to the theater at all?

Re: This Is It DVD release date?

No, that's probably just a "place holder" for the date, they often do that. I really hope it will come out earlier.

Re: This Is It DVD release date?
