Do you have an official source for that? I haven't heard it before and it sounds very strange that they'd miss out on X-Mas, the busiest and best time of the year to sell DVD's.
Source?
Kenny said in an interview this week it would be out just after the cinema release in time for Christmas!
since there is a rule in the US that a motion picture can't be released to DVD within 90 days after the last screening in the movie theatres... this means no earlier than Feb. 2010.
well done sony, no MJ at #1 at the DVD charts for the x-mas business...
What is your source for this? And if it is a "rule" then you can't exactly blame Sony!
I very much doubt they will extend the two weeks in the cinema, and yeah that is total bull about the DVD release; that is totally at the distributors' discretion...
The gap bewteen cinema and DVD release is set by the distribution company to maximize on sales. Since tii is only running for 14 days it makes little sense to make those who missed out on it's showing ( and are keen to spend ) wait until feb 2010!
True. Nobody who wants to see this will wait that long, majority would just bootleg it,which would cause sony to loose more money.
