Pet Peeves

this will be contraversal, but on my mind because it was a current conversation.. but parents of very overweight children. It's abuse.. some may attack me for it, but its where I come from too (overweight child).. It hurts me to know when they go to school what they have to deal with, the emotional scars they will carry because of there weight even if they lose it, some scars never go away.. I went from being a very skinny little kid, to an overweight youngster, to a fitness model. even now the things I went threw as an overweight youngster haunts me more than most of the other problems in a troubled home. at least at home I could lock myself in my room.. at school, in the pool, in public, these kids are being hurt.. all because parents lack of disaplin to feed there kids appropriatly..

if someone wants to debate it I will :) but deep down I know many will know where i'm coming from, even if you are overweight urself.. I feel so terrible for those poor kids

Some parents are to blame for this. Usually when I see a child on TV who has a weight problem the parents have a weight problem too. But then sometimes there are medical reasons for the child's weight problem. But yes, I would say most of the time parents are relying too much on takeout and fast food because they are too tired (or lazy?) or time constrained to prepare meals themselves and there's not enough supervision.

I feel for overweight children and what they must have to deal with. However, I was a skinny kid and was also teased and called names relentlessly in school for being skinny and was traumatized just as much as any overweight kid. Kids will tease you for anything. It all hurts the same. :(

It annoys me when politicians pronounce the word "nuclear" as nu-cu-lar and not the correct way, which is nu-cle-ar. I had to listen to President Bush do this (and other stupid things) for 8 long years. Now Sarah Palin. Jimmy Carter did it too but I was too young to remember, heh.

when somebody asks the question 'Where do you see things being in the next five to ten years?' in an employment or business interview of any type.

fuuucckkk!!! HOW DO IIIIII KNOWWWWW!!!???

putting my hand in a wet bag (ie: after putting a bag of hamburger/hotdog buns in the microwave to defrost them) usually the bag is wet and icky and eww....My dad flat out refuses to stick his hand in it..he usually makes me or my sister do it....hence, why I dislike it now

I know. This interview question annoys me too. What, am I a psychic to know where I'm gonna to be in five or ten years???

I've probably said this before i need to say it again.

People who say that Synthesizers are not real instrument. It's not like you can just push a button on one and you'll automaticly get the sound you want. Synthesizers are real instruments

totally totally agree. i'm sure when they invented the organ, people who played regular pianos protested, because you had to plug the organ in.

the reality is, there are people who are afraid of new things. you still have to be a musician to play a synthesizer. you have to be a musician to write a real song in a computer. i listened to a J.S. Bach composition, played by a synthesizer. it added a whole new and beautiful world to that wonderful composition.

when guys used the line "i was wondering if we can be friends?" then go and ask your number. WTF!? Leave a girl to look like a b!tch... Very awkward situation...
NO I don't wanna be your "friend", I have no problem being mean but it's very annoying and stupid line to use.

Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta A Feeling

That's a massive pet peeve of mine right now

Starlets (Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, etc etc) who boast about how "hard" they work. These people don't know what real hard work is.

^ Agreed!

Hehe I have noticed something like this. There are people who constantly whine about how "busy" they are and yet they post on Facebook all day long. I'm not buying it either.

Being a songwriter and not being able to bring my songs to life because i can't play any instruments. When i write a song i write the lyrics and then i sing all of the music parts into a tape recorder. I'll sing the guitar parts, the bass parts, the keyboard/synth parts and so on. The main problem i have is that i can't find any musicians who will play the stuff that i've sung into a tape recorder and when i do find a musican he/she never wants to play what i wrote because they think that that's because i can't play any instruments that i shouldn't be taken seriously as a songwriter
