Official Statement From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

The fact that they can't even get Stuart Brawley's name right in the message tells me how much "attention" they pay into DETAILS.....

I don't care how MANY times people tell me it's MJ...it won't change the FACT that MJ doesn't sound like MJ on "Breaking News". And as long as it doesn't sound like him obviously SOMETHING needs to be done. If everyone heard the DEMO and had no doubts it's MJ, then obviously something happened while Teddy Riley was in the studio. So if it IS Michael's vocals on the demo, it should not be that hard to go BACK to the studio and mix the song again (or do whatever you gotta do) to get it right. Or if you can't do that...then leave the song out. That simple. Like I said on Twitter, remember that Michael was completely unhappy with Thriller when he first heard it...but he went back to the studio and mixed it all again to get it right and came out with a masterpiece.

Michael was a PERFECTIONIST. His music is his legacy. Michael is not here anymore to tell anyone how he wants any of the songs to sound. But don't you all think that the ONE thing we can be SURE he would have wanted, would have been that the songs with his name on sound like HIM??!! That is the ONE thing we can be SURE of!! MJ would have never been fine with "oh it sounds close enough". You KNOW that!! Don't we own at least THAT to him?? I care about Michael and I care about his legacy and all I am asking for is that if it is MJ singing that song (like they are all so sure of) that they GO BACK TO THE STUDIO to GET IT RIGHT. If they have MJ's vocals on the demo, it shouldn't be that difficult to do. Instead of wasting time with forensic musicologists and what not...they should make an effort to GET IT RIGHT. And if it can't be done..then DON'T PUT THAT SONG ON THE ALBUM!!! Tha simple!! If we have to be TOLD it is Michael Jackson singing the song, obviously SOMETHING is wrong. Like someone said on Twitter..if you can't HEAR it's MJ on the song, the song DON'T belong on a Michael Jackson album!! Period!! I don't need a forensic musicologist to tell me it's MJ when I have EARS myself!! I mean, what's next? We get a video where the person on it looks like Navi...and theywill tell us "no that is really MJ"...

Excellent Post summer!!

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

Yes, it does make a difference. Do you want someone to operate on you who has just read a lot of books on surgery or do you want someone who has experience and knows what they are doing? Forensic wave analysis is not guess work. They know what they are doing. I don't care if they are Michael's kids, that does not mean they would know for certain it's him singing if they changed his voice with production. Especially since children are easily influenced, and people can be susceptible to what others are saying. Also, do we have actual proof that the children did not think it was him? Or was it just a rumor from one of the other Jacksons?

I understand you, but why change his voice during production? Do you see what I mean? It leads me to think that they did not have enough of Michal in this little snippet and changed his voice to make it blend in more with the impersonator, because their intent was to first say it was 100% Michael, not Michael with a backup. Now, after fans revolted, they came up with this story that there is a backup, but why is the backup still in charge of this song?--His voice should be subordinate, if you know what I mean.

It's almost as mature as referring to yourself in third person

I kid I kid..

Laura is highly offended by this comment. :D

Ha, Ha, thanks for the laugh. I needed it. I myself stayed home today because it is a holiday and I have been on the computer for 5 hours. This situation is making every one act out of character. In fact since Monday morning I have been addicted to the computer.

I'm the same. I feel like I'm on a hunger strike except that I'm still eating! I'm on a 'stop the bullshit' strike. Until the bullshit stops, I can't leave this forum. I'm kind of hoping I might get banned so that I have no choice but to abandon my post!

Well, if you have reached the stage of wishing for "banship," then I think it is time for, may I use a favorite Jackson term, INTERVENTION. Keep on laughing.

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

I'm sorry but i've heard MJ demo's before. Dont think i've ever heard one where he doesnt sound like himself on it.

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

I am mad!

The simple fact that sony brought in all these producers and engineers shows there was serious doubts right from the beginning as to the veracity of the vocals!

Too many red flags!

Here's the truth:

"BN" is not a MJ song. It's definitely not 100% MJ.

Sony has released more then one version of the song and vocals and told us it was 100% in the beginning and now is changing their story. So they are lying and can't be trusted.

Here's what we the fans want:

Remove all questionable songs from the album.

Only release actual MJ songs.

If you want to also release questionable material then release an album that clearly states this is questionable material of raw demos and other stuff that was found.

Lastly:

Michael wrote and composed many songs for his kids for the purpose of taking care of his kids and family financially in the future.

MJ probably hid these songs away in a way Sony could not find them and they won't be released until they are supposed to.

The greatest musical moments in music history are yet to be revealed and Michael will be the one to reveal them.

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

http://breakingnews.michaeljackson.com/FR/ THIS is redone THIS is Michael all through it. I am actually bobbing my head to it. THIS IS ALL HIM. you can tell there is no other odd voice on there.

Really? I thought that as well, the thing is...i just don't know it anymore. This whole week has been so strange and i don't know what to believe anymore. All kinds of conflicting reports from people on twitter and what not.

But earlier in the evening i listened to the on the UK site, cause Gaz said he thought it sounded different. And then also i thought i was hearing Mike's voice, but just like now...i don't know for sure anymore, so confused and what not. But even during the 'I'm Michael Jackson' parts i thought i heard the real Michael vocals now...

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

the general public have doubts about's mj vocals on BN from the radio airplay it received, Is there anyway we can write or contact the estate or Sony about atleast replacing the 3 cascio songs with sounds that you can automatcially tell its mj I mean why risk commercial success of an album when there's a lot of fans and now the general public doubting its really him especially if the song is was unfinished at least just leave as that to see what mj was working in his later years without trying to mix it up and it''s a bd sign to plant seed of doubt

Great post! I haven't seen you here in a while actually. Good to see your posts again :D

Anyhow, I totally agree with you. Teddy admitted on twitter that he only spent 5 hours working on this track. Now, he knows Michael would not be satisfied with that! 5 hours?! Michael had people up in those studios at 4 in the flipping morning over a period of weeks just to get through one song. Teddy knows he was lazy there, because it showed up in the recording. I don't believe it's MJ singing most of the lead in that track either, but if it was, the Cascios did an awful job recording it, and quite frankly, it was a bad decision to put it on the album. It was WAY over-produced to the point where, if the vocals are Michael's, they've been so over-toyed with they don't even sound like him any more. It's not even worth it. Either remix it or take it off.

They ARE different mixes,
I have both of them and I've compared them.
The second one sounds much better indeed.

The first release I thought it sounded a bit weird and over-processed, but once I listened to the acapella version I was immediately convinced of the parts MJ sang and confirmed that indeed the chorus and mix was over-processed...

They were so convinced it was Michael they rang Jason Malachi just to 'double check' it wasn't him! What a joke!

'Hi Jas, we have these tracks and we're pretty sure they're Michael, even know they sound nothing like him. Can I just check where you were circa summer 2007?'

Seriously, IS SOMEONE HAVING A JOKE WITH ME?!!

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

But you should not go through this stress after listening to your favorite artist--you see what I mean. You should be able to play his song, say Waw he has changed his technique, love it, or don't like it. You should not have to say "which part is him and which is Jason?" They took the fun and love out of the new release and I am not happy with them.

Ok ok, but can you tell me which parts you personally think is 100% Mike?

THAT i fully agree with...even if it IS indeed Mike on several parts on the song, this definitely ain't fun at all and not the way it should be. In other words..throw the Cascio recordings off the cd...simple.

Dorian Holley that's mj singing.

Dorian Holley dude. it was a demo. when yre making a demo yre not PERFORMING. yre feeling yre way. a demo is for reference purposes. like some of the vocals in THIS IT IT.

Dorian Holley it's mj

If it's a demo where MJ was not performing (although he sure does perform on all other demos of his....), is it fair to release such a material on an album? I think not.

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

I think it may be time to drop this guys, as much as you all think you know Michael you don't know him better than the people who worked with him, all your doing by continuing your campaign is jeapordising the albums success.
If you actually listen to the song without accusing it of not being Michael you'll realise its a really good song, I think you should all just enjoy the song and look forward to the album which you will love all but 3 of the tracks which you believe arent Michael, you can always take those 3 off your playlist if you dont think there Michael

 I agree with you. All of you who say, "oh, I'm not buying the album now," who are you hurting by doing that??? Yourself and Michael. Do you think Sony cares? No, they don't. It's getting to the point that it's ridiculous. If the whole thing was fake, and you had evidence that it was fake, then I could understand saying you won't buy it, but that's not the case.
As other people have said, why would they risk putting fake songs on the album when they have all the authentic songs they could use? It makes no sense. I really don't care that some of the Jacksons didn't think it sounded like him because it DOES sound like him, just different, which can be done in the studio. If someone had told Blanket that they didn't think it was actually his dad singing on "2000 Watts", then asked him if he thought it was, do you think he would have said yes? No, he would have agreed with them.
What more will it take to convince some of you? Arguing doesn't help. Two forensic musicologists determined it was him, numerous people who worked with him over the years (in the studio) also determined it was him, Sony is out to make money, but they are not stupid. What more will it take???????????? I just don't get it.:smilerolleyes:

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

OK

I still do not believe it's Michael. As an Audiophile who spent about 40$ on audio equipment, and as a dedicated fan since 1983, I only trust my own ears when it comes to music, especially Michael's.

So whether the estate and sony are a bunch of liars, or maybe just deaf and stupid, or Michael has temporary lost his voice...? (I say temporary because he sounded great on TII).

Let's assume for a moment that it is Michael. If that is the case, then this must be just a bad (very bad) outtake. Do you think Michael would have given his consent to have it released? I don't think so!! So why are they doing this to him?

One last thing (actually a question for Gaz), if most of the fans don't believe it's Michael, and MJJC is actually the voice of the fans, so why the song appears in the front page of http://www.mjjcommunity.com ?? Isn't that like saying we all agree with Sony?

Thanks

Which is what Ive been saying (on both counts) and both times I was 'shot down' within 30 seconds of posting.

I've a feeling a lot of fans are refusing to back down out of pride.

Humble pie anyone? Yummmy!

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

Listen to some interviews or trial depositions. He did speak at himself in third person. He said quite few times, 'Michael Jackson' , when talking about him as star/institution/brand. It looked as if he was another person commenting on Michael Jackson.

I remember because first when I heard, I laughed my a*s off. It sounded so odd for me! LOL

It does not mean that he saw him as self important, but means more that he was very capable to detach his inner self, from the brand Michael Jackson.

You make so much sense, it's almost scary.

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

Teddy admitted on twitter that he only spent 5 hours working on this track.

He BRAGGED about how little time it took him to hash this thing together.

Michael had people up in those studios at 4 in the flipping morning over a period of weeks just to get through one song.

Just as a side point can I say how sexy this is. I'm sorry, I've just started on the wine. But yum. Commanding.

Re: Official Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans

I'm listening to "Tabloid Junkie" right now. First time since Monday.
What a composition it is. A real Michael Jackson song, AMAZING vocals, AMAZING music, AMAZING lyrics.

Play this right before or after "Breaking News". You'll hear a masterpiece and mediocrity.

Exactly, there were serious doubts as to the veracity of the vocals right from the start.

^ MJ has referred to himself in the third person many times. I've seen countless videos of him doing it, including where he defends himself from child molestation he says "that's not who I am, that's not Michael Jackson"
