Official MTV Video Awards Thread [Janet Jackson, Trailer, Spoliers Here]

No one copes like that. At least no one normal. Also the fact no one went to him at the memorial when they came off stage said it all.

You'd be surprised at the different ways one person will cope with serious and life-changing events. Not saying that Joe is a saint... but all people have different ways of coping with things. I can tell you that for sure.

Re: History tour backup dancer brought back for tribute.

I don't think it was his fault.
It looked like his pins in the floor didn't work so he couldn't do the lean.

I wonder how much that woman Joe was with costs Joe? By looking at her....Not Much. Michael would have been ashamed. Katherine Jackson is too good for Joe Jackson.

Glad some one else sees Joe as I do. He doesn't deserve Katherine.

CAN SOM1 UPLOAD ABDC WHEN THEY DID THE SMOOTH CRIMINAL @ VMAs yesterday, I DONT HAVE IT =( PLZ UPLOAD

I wish people would just stop with this crap. You have no idea what Joe is going through. Maybe this is his way of coping or trying to forget. Criticising the way someone grieves is what's sick if you ask me.

Well Joe has a real funny way of grieving. Doing a red carpet event with a woman who is NOT your wife and looks like she just got off her second shift from twirling the poles is certainly not the way to grieve, IMHO.

Yer we dont no what hes really feeling, not saying i no hes a good man, but we cant tell him how he should cope with the death of his son!
Just because he isnt breaking down infront of us dosent mean he isnt behind closed doors!
And do we even really no who this woman is who hes with!
We shouldnt be so quick to judge, thats what Michael would say also!

Re: History tour backup dancer brought back for tribute.

Which one? Pic please? I don't know his dancers well because I only look at MJ

Cris is the Hispanic guy behind the girl, he is staring at Janet.

Oh please tell us, what is the proper way to grieve exactly? Also, Joe and Katherine don't even live together lol.

Exactly. And not forgetting that when mourning people are in a high emotional state and may say and do things that seem 'odd' to others, and also they are a showbiz family... one where nothing seems to stay secret. It's easy to hide behind a computer and criticise and say 'I would do this and this and this differently', but you are not in that situation. You are not witnessing the media feeding frenzy on a homicide investigation of your superstar son. Comparing the family's grief to how you might have grieved a grandparent for example is completely different.

I am not a huge Madonna fan. I respect her a lot though, and what you said is so true. They will shoot the messenger- anything to make this bad taste of guilt go away. And this is not just about the press, its also about other atrists, keeping their distance as the accusations, the ridicule and the trials began. I saw a lot of faces in that audience become very serious while she was speaking. But in this case, the messenger is fully prepared for that. She does not need the press, her career speaks for it self. And she is strong enough to stand there and be honest, and take a part of the blame for leaving him so alone. We all need to lean on people. Michael was left with so few. And it made him vulnerable.
Lotsmof respect for Madonna.
And Janet- what is to be said about Janet? She is as strong as her brother. Amazing woman.

Amen, rep given.

I think it was about time that someone from the industry stood up for Michael. I think Madonna is right and usually media has no choice but to listen. Madonna is a tough cookie and I am sure she could not care less what the press says if she knows she was right. She has had her share of the controversy as well...and she has achieved a lot when it comes to how women are being treated in the music industry. She knows what she was talking about. Respect!

It's a sense of decorum and respect. No excuses. Joe Jackson have been looong enough in the spotlight to know how to act.

Regardless whether Katherine and Joe are together or not. He announced on live TV that they were NOT separated.

How must Mother Katherine feel? Losing her Michael, then the Jermaine/Vienna episode, and now the tomfoolery of Joe?

My heart breaks for Mother Katherine.

Re: History tour backup dancer brought back for tribute.

I read somewhere that Wade was also one of the dancers when the tribute first started. But I couldn't see any of their faces.

Yeah you could tell something went wrong because he kept looking at his shoes and tried but lost his footing. MJ's dancers have messed up in the past because of the shoes, not because they couldn't do it.

But couldn't he have played it off, like do a spin or something?

It would have looked weird lol. But he tried, gotta give him that. I'd probably be the one to fall flat on my face haha
