On another forum I go to one poster was fuming after he enquired about his Opus, its an xmas present for his son. He said in the email 'this is meant to be a christmas present for my son and wont arrive in time' and Ticketmaster actually had the cheek to send an email back telling him to 'print out the confirmation email and give that to your son.' Needless to say the guy is fuming!

NO WAY!!!! That is beyond inappropriate! :no:

Does this also mean the people, who had already received the tracking number and estimated delivery day?

I don't think so. You should be ok. I think it was for those you haven't received tracking number etc :)
 
I'm willing to cut them some slack. Sure I want the Opus asap (!!), but they can't control weather and stuff like that. I'm sure they're doing all they can..

I hope to get it on Wednesday as promised, but if I don't I don't. It won't be the end of the world. Gotta have some perspective :)
 
Ok you guys opus update after chatting to the publisher for about 20mins lol

There has been a delay in shipping all over the world.
UK: a crate arrived on the 7th but due to snow etc they have been delayed.
All deliveries will be through fedex: Worldwide
Australians & maybe surrounding countries will receive a email in the next 24hrs explaining delivery etc.
Most people will not receive their opus' for Christmas & he is very sorry about this.
They worked on the opus for 12 weeks. It was going to be based on the "This Is It" tour but because of Michael's death that changed.
Because of the opus he hasn't seen his children for 5 months & he is also stressed out because of delivery & complaints but he is doing his best. He was nice & down to earth & we had a good laugh.

Why 1 glove? Was going to be 2 but they thought 1 was more symbolic that's all.

Reality card: Why print them? because the publisher thought this was a better idea since this book will be in store etc people can buy them & photocopy the picture with this idea only us can use the photo. You can print it on any paper.

It's almost 9pm in the UK & he will be in the office for the next 5hrs checking emails etc. Now that is dedication. So please be patient & understanding he is doing his best.

There was bad weather not just in the UK due to snow but also across the seas.

Also if you have moved home since you ordered the opus contact opus & they will fix it up.
It may seem like they are ignoring emails but trust me they arent.

He is answering emails now just remember we aren't the only ones who ordered the opus.
So funny he commented on my Australian when I said "No worries" & said Good night hehe although Australia is 11hrs ahead.
I rang back lol asking can I please have your ful name & he was like "why am in trouble" "Are you with the press?" lol hilarious

Only email if it's extremely urgent:Change of address or something.
If it's about shipping they will send out emails. Please don't hound them with emails

Thank you for the update. I wouldn't mind waiting until after Christmas. I just want to receive it. My concern is that there was no email with a tracking number sent. I'm concerned about the box being left at my house because I am gone all day. If I had the tracking number it would help a lot.

Very true my friend :flowers: When you have already waited for months to get it a few extra days is nothing and doesn't make any difference.
 
I was just on OPUS site. They have now CHANGED site, showing only ONE glove with book. Sorry I didn't save old image now, to prove they advertised two with book. Smart f*******.
 
By what Andy the publisher told me it sounds like it will be but not sure which stores. I doubt borders & stores like that. The book is to expenive

I know! They'd have to have it in a locked glass case, like expensive perfume or something.

They originally said that everyone who buys it before the end of October will receive the book before Christmas.....

Now they say that everyone who buys it before 1st December will receive the book before Christmas!!!!!!

I brought mine in August when it was announced and they started taking orders.....and I have no book as of today!!!!!!
 
I just keep looking at pictures of the Opus and I'm like ...WTF??? I paid for that...!! It should be here with me!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

First of all Opus customer service would have to be the worst I've ever experienced for a high priced item.

You promised Xmas delivery & looks like you will fail
You advertised 2 gloves and are sending one - FALSE advertising.
You want fans to print out a bit of paper & that is the reality card? Wow that's real quality.

I'm in New Zealand and this book was a Christmas gift. You shouldn't promise if you can't deliver.

Communication has been awful to say the very least. I hope your business has learnt lessons from this. You guys shouldn't have rushed it, this is a legacy item. If you can't take care of the fans I have to wonder how much care you put into the book or did you just rush it out?

Still though, Opus don't care do they? You've got millions of pounds in the bank from the fans this Christmas, collecting interest for months. We just wanted our book.

When it comes down to it, we were told shipping would begin on December 7th. A bunch of us, myself included, ordered this in August. If they started shipping it across on the 7th, I would have gotten it last week or so. So NO, I won't cut them slack. They cocked this up, plain and simple, and now there's almost no chance of me getting this by Christmas....
 
^ totally agree. Not gonna cut any slack there service is shocking.
I've got 2 friends who aren't die hard MJ fans that just wanted the book and they don't go on the forums. They have got NO idea what is going on with their delivery.

When the name Michael Jackson is involved you gotta know it's gonna be huge. This is Prince, or a Formula One team, it's a global icon who's popularity is so massive.

I can't believe it won't be here.

I bought mine in August too...still no Opus...not even my tracking number. I emailed them about it yesterday. No reply yet. And seriously, they should not have been saying Xmas delivery at any point if they weren't 100% sure they could deliver upon that promise. This whole thing is just maddening!
 
I totally agree with you guys, but lets just look at this rationally...Definitely pissed that they said it would be here before Christmas, stupid of them to actually think they could make that happen...BUT, it IS the Christmas season, and deliveries are gonna be SLOW and overwhelming, not just the Opus but all deliveries all over the world...I'm not surprised this is happening...Take it with a grain of salt - we'll all get our Opuses....Don't get me wrong, I'm frustrated too....
