Just went to one of the Akon fansites, and they had the Zshare link to free download the song for everyone. It was working yesterday (when they put it up) but now it's been deleted by Zshare itself quickly, too. Someone probably notified them.

Daaaang going all out strippin the songs off the internet. :hysterical:

the song dissappearing everywhere (youtube, filehosting websites etc) is actually a good thing, it shows that the record company actually cares about this song. they're up to something, i hope it's the release of it as a single.

artists r never dense...the label is...they release what THEY think will b a hit...not necessarily the song the artist wants to release...just like jan, they released rock with u instead of luv and it tanked

Well I mean, if Akon really IS so angry about the leak, if it wasn't intentional, which I think it was, and he decides to scrap the release because of that, that would be dumb.

Yeah, especially Michael taking time out from his OWN studio recording time.. singing on Akons' song. :/
But I guess MJ didn't mind.. cause he's nice like that lol..

EDIT: ..oh and Akon saying to MTV (I think MTV, I forget) that they were working on contractual hurdles, legal stuffs, before MJ vocals can be out.. and just going all through that trouble.. AND NOT RELEASING IT in the end.. ugh.. would be not so good a choice, yea. :/

You know, I really had not thought of it from that perspective. But, wouldn't it be kind of inconsiderate and disrespectful in a round about sort of way for Akon to not release this if it is legally possible to do so?

Just trying to keep hope alive. The song would be such a hit and would bring some excitement to the radio that isn't so gimmicky and factory made sounding.

Yeah that would be stupid. Obviously releasing the MJ duet would push him over the top. If he or the label chooses something different as the first one, then tough. I had argued earlier that if the song isn't put out, it's because of Akon and his people, not necessarily to blame it on MJ. Besides he's just a featured vocalist on it.

Well, the first single released off of Thriller was TGIM; a collab with PM, an established and respected artist (like it or not.) Although that was more of a duet than a feature. Bah, close enough.

I suspect that the same will happen with this song in Akon's case; that it may well be released as the first single. Would be a smart move. And the fact that they're taking the song off the net might support this theory too.

Btw, I like to picture peeps gathered around maybe a campfire in the dark, waving lighters in the air to this song. :lol: Do peeps still do that? :scratch:

I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!!!!! OMG! Seriously, Michael just makes the song. I'm not saying that because I'm partial; he really does! Sure, it would be pretty cool w/o him, BUT it's astronomically better WITH him. Every time I hear him at the beginning, esp. the part where he says "miserable alooooooone", and it's like he's just touching my heart. Ok, I sound weird now, but I can't describe it well.
If they don't release this song as a single, then someone somewhere is a complete and total IDIOT! I hope they release it soon so we can all buy it and start requesting it, and hear it on the radio and talk about how well it's doing and how fast it's going to #1!!!!! :clapping::yes::cheeky::better:

True. There wasn't any footage of Akon saying anything about the leak on TMZ's site nor on TMZ's show, nor on any E! news show that I watched throughout the day when this was allegedly shown. The thing is, TMZ always releases their videos on their own site/show before other outlets rebroadcast them, which is why this story makes even less sense to me because it hasn't even been shown on TMZ itself. To date, only a single person has ever claimed to have seen/heard these alleged comments from Akon. MTV spoke to Akon's label and they did not report any disgust about the leak, but the label simply said that the album wasn't finalized so it was uncertain when/if this track would make it. *shrugs*

And yea, I think that was what Akon was tryin to say, to MTV, that Michael was the only person he could of done this song with. :yes: I so agree with him, there voices together are great.
