NEW SONG - Akon feat. Michael Jackson "Hold my hand" [updates in post #1]

we already have the song and can listen to it when we want so its not like if it never gets released we can never hear it for the first time. so although it would be nice for it to get a proper release its hardly the end of the world if it doesnt

if it doesn't get released people will do whatever they did when the Katrina single didn't get released, or when No Friend Of Mine didn't get released -- moan, complain and then go back to waiting for something to get released. :lol:

Why would he record the song if it wasn't to be released,what is wrong with you people,with all the doubts and all???

Technically, I'm not even too concerned since this is AKON'S problem, not Mike's. ;)

AKON worked hard to get Mike on the track but if AKON don't wanna release it. No biggie for Michael because he's working on his album but Akon is the one who people are trying to say "release it". So if he doesn't release and/or doesn't include it on the album, I doubt ANYONE here with common sense will blame Michael... but I'll be watching for the finger-pointing though... :shifty:

And need we forget, "Friend of Mine" wasn't a MJ song either. Much like this song, it was a featurette. Difference is MJ recorded new vocals for HMH, but not "Friend of Mine" (2001), lol.

But why wouldn't Akon want to release it though? You can tell from his bragging about it, talking about a video and so on that he could hardly wait to get this song released. It's just strange how things have turned and there's no info about it at all and he's releasing other singles.
 
people, it easy to understand. if you have a song feturing lil wayne, it is your lead single, period. he is that hot right now. lil wayne is the sure-fire money maker. mj is more of a toss-up right now, real talk. akon does not decide what singles are released. that is a pure label decision.
my guess is that hold my hand will be the 3rd or 4th single.
 
It could just drop unexpectedly, like most singles seem to. Maybe things have gone quiet because Akorn, I mean, Akon want's it to be a surprise.

He was the same guy who hinted Michael will be on a commercial for Super Bowl yet Michael's "Thriller" song was on it.

I know he said some "presence" ish but besides that... :lol:
 
I hope every song on MJ's album is a duet with Akon just to spite you guys.

yes, but this is different - we're talking about an actual song here and you know if it was up to Akon this song would've been released. Hopefully he'll shed some light into the matter soon.

Well the song with Wayne is not his lead single, it's the second. Besides I doubt it's gonna be a big hit - if you look at iTunes Wayne is appearing on a bunch of different songs, he's all over the place. And the song with Akon is at #17. I know it was just released, but I don't see it becoming a big hit for Akon. I guess we'll see....

While MJ may not be popular, a song with him will get a lot more attention and buzz and if it's properly promoted it can be a bigger money-maker than a single with Wayne. I mean if Britney Spears is selling like crazy right now trumping everyone on iTunes, I don't see why MJ wouldn't.

BTW did Akon even shot a video for his first single "Right Now"? I haven't seen it, and he's already on the second single. I wonder if he's going to shoot a video for this one.
 
I know Akon is making a music video for "I'm So Paid Ft. Lil Wayne".
There are pictures of it on the top banner of his Myspace. :)
