I don't think the single will do great, no promotion at all, zero especially in the UK, like wise for the album, I thought SONY was going to do a huge campaign? No posters, ads or TV spots. Its not even on Itunes as a coming soon?

^ i suppose its up to us, fans have to play an even larger role now. It sort of reminds me of the scene in This Is It when Michael asks who are "they" and states that it is up to "us" to do something

I'm hoping for teaser ads in the uk on I'm a celebrity, get me out of here.It's a big program starting tonight & it's on for three weeks.

were is this huge promotion campaign? they could of premierd the video on x factor tonight as they have a huge audience :S what is going on??

exactly my thoughts, maybe they don't want everyone to buy it now and they want everyone to get it on a chosen week to ensure its number one

According to Musicweek the single will be available to buy from 28th November!

What can we do?

Well we ALL need to plague our local and national radio stations with requests for this song starting NOW!

We need to contact them on the telephone, vie the website, via SMS, via email.

Plus we need to continue doing so for 2 weeks as a minimum!

That is the only way they'll know there is a demand for the song. At the moment there is no demand because the public don't know anything about it, so WE have to create the demand.



If a radio station does play it, then we ALL need to contact them with positive feedback!

So now i am confused? The cd single is out on the 29th, the usa getting the download tomorrow, the uk the 28th for the digital release?

All tracks by anyone usually get released to radio and music channels for a few weeks, to generate hype and then they get released. They wouldn't do it at the same time as that probably wouldn't be very sucessfull. It'l be being released for promotion on the 15th, and as a single on the 28th surely.

As far as I understood, from tomorrow on, the song will be on michaeljackson.com - just like Breaking News was.
Then, on Nov 28th to buy @ itunes and the next day we'll get it on cd.

Maybe they're still working on the other tracks, which will be added to the single. I've heard, there won't be only HMH on the physical single release.

??confused:( why do we fans have to make the calls? is it not the job of record company promoters to handle that? and i thought a new single gets aired on the radio regardless?

It will of course. But increased demand from listeners will up the popularity and air play of the song even more. We just help the song to get even bigger than it would already be without our help.

Exactly!!! But I'm sort of hoping that X Factor will do what they did last year - wait until the semi-finals to make it MJ Week! That way, the sh*tty singers who are still in the competition won't have a chance to butcher The King's greatest hits! :)
