Ivy I agree. Guys I know they have the ads, but since they want to continue the concert, our next wish is that they make very little money. From the sales count so far it looks as though that is taking place, so there is no need for us to put out an ad. We want as little profit as possible and it is happening.

Now about transcripts, is it necessary if the trial is being broadcasted without editing?

I didn't realized this until now, but the Global Live icon looks very much like the front and even the fire effects from the Xbox Live icon.

^^It is very upsetting the way they make this elderly woman say and do these things. I really wish she had someone to look after her better.

Gosh, this lineup is so embarrassing. The only big globally known name is Xtina (and Beyonce, but she won't be there). No offense to the other artists, I like some of them, but a tribute to Michael Jackson deserves much much more. It's a shame this is still going on.

Whilst I'm sure we will all be glued watching the trial, we are all bound at various times to miss some of the streaming so the transcripts would be very useful rather than to have to relay on edited news footage and newspaper articles. Also it would be helpful to be able to refer back to especially with the more confusing medical testimony.

Having said that, I have just remembered that I don't think that we are allowed to post the transcripts. So poor Ivy would still need to do a summary.
OR
Are we able to post a link to the transcripts? If so we could do that for each day and give a brief list of contents.

Do we
really need transcripts if the trial will be televised & streamed on the internet?

in 2005, we needed them because we were shut off from the procedure. It doesn't seem necessary this time around. Am I missing something?


ETA. A few months ago, Taaj Malik got in trouble for publicly posting court transcripts, she had legally purchased.

Okay my friends, ANOTHER weekend has come and gone. LOL!

Any word on how the ticket sales are going? Since I don't see any media talking about tickets being sold out, I'm just assuming that there are still tickets available. Any updates?

^^ No idea how ticket sales are going but if they're taking out a full-page ad in the Times at the weekend, i think there might be more than a handful left! I'm thinking it will never sell out. Was just thinking back to when i bought the Times last weekend for Jermaine's interview. I'm certain i don't recall seeing a tribute ad in it and yet it would have been a perfect newspaper for it as mj fans would be buying the times that day for JJ's book extracts.

They're being quite cute here, apparently KJ is saying I CONSIDER this to be the only official tribute. Same as Latoya saying on tv that KJ and MJ's children haven't received a penny from mj's estate, she adds, this is what i've been told. Clearly Brian Oxman has been offering them some friendly advice on how to avoid lawsuits!

Yeah, ^^ I am interested in news of the ticket sales too. Maybe Elusive will tell us when she has time. With all the ads out now, they need to sell more tickets now. They must have some serious backers to be able to carry on with this still.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that they have BORROWED some funds from the "charity" money they are holding on to. I don't think anybody knows exactly how much money they may have collected from those who did pledge a donation while purchasing their tickets.

Those folks are slimey and I don't put anything pass them!

On a side note: "some" of them probably mortaged their homes and are spending every cent they have, because they THOUGHT that once they were able to attach Katherine Jackson's name to this disater, their so-called Tribute would have been a huge hit with Michael Jackson fans.

Little did they know...... LOL!

Or they'll be declaring bankruptcy after its over (as did Jermaine's promoters subsequently did after their tribute attempt in '09, and they didn't even have the concert). The only comforting thing about all this is Global will NEVER make the money windfall they thought they would.

Lord, I feel sorry for Jackie, Tito, and Marlon. Which one of them is capable of being the LEAD singer?

I consider all 3 of them to be more like "background" singers, then lead singers. Oy Vey!

Seeing the 3 of them up there alone, is only going to HIGHLIGHT the fact that the Jackson-5 was Michael Jackson.

I can't help but feel a little sympathetic to Jackie, Tito and Marlon. They are strangely my three favourite brothers other than Michael.

For most of the video, Jackie and Tito have such sad eyes. (can't see Marlon properly)...they just seem like 3 guys making the best of a bad situation to me...I think they are doing this for Katherine. They'd clearly rather have MJ back than be doing this concert...it will just remind them (again, but more forcefully) of how much they have lost.
( I think the concert will be incredibly hard for them, emotionally).
