MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

ooohhhh, I hope he will post it soon! I am veeeeeeryyyy curious!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

What a sad looking paper advertisement, with nothing 'Michael' about it. Not even a picture of him.

Of course Taj is mad. Taj is one of them, and he's probably looking forward to being on stage again - perfoming and making money regardless of his love for his uncle. Is he gainfully employed at the moment? I think not. The same goes for his brothers, and most of Michael's family. Their primary occupation is living off their Son, Brother and Uncle- Michael Jackson.

Know that when Taj is blaming fans for slamming Katherine, he is also blaming fans for ruining it for the family. Ruining an opportunity for the family to make money, including him.

Was he this adamant and upset when someone recently suggested that his uncle may have acted inappropriately (Aaron Carter), or several months back when Discovery nearly ran an autopsy program? OR when KISS was signed on to perform alongside him, and worse still when Gense Simmons stated, after being dropped from the show, that he still stands by his comments, and thinks Michael is guilty?

Where is Taj's passion in defending his Uncle? It's missing, and you know why.

They're only vocal when it affects their pocket$.

I remember the rantings that went on when they realized that their music did not make the final cut onto the Michael album. They CONTINUED their rantings for days and days and days. And that's the only time I can recall them being so vocal.

Now with this so-call Tribute, homeboy probably thought that Michael Jackson fans would FLOCK to this Tribute in order to see 3T perform live again, because, in my opinion, their collective thinking is that Michael Jackson fans are ALSO their fans.

If nothing else, they have all learned a lesson as to where our loyalties lie. And it is NOT with them just because they happen to be related to Michael.

I mean seriously, if I happen to be a fan of Solange Knowles, does that automatically mean that I am obligated to be a fan of Beyonce's also. Sorry Jackson family, that's not how it works!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Today is Friday, so any news on ticket sales yet? I know elusive checks from time to time.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I'm sorry I'm not ready to suddenly start hating on the few Jacksons that to me had been great to Michael until joining that concert. I have nothing against Jackie, Tito, Marlon and the 3T, for the rest of them, I'm done, but I can't throw 3T under the bus because there IS a possibility that they do want to pay tribute to their uncle. Sorry for being naive to some of you, but that's my opinion at the moment.

It ain't all black or white.

Yeah, I'm curious about that as well. Thanks for bringing it up.

It's been like what, about a FULL week of tickets being on sale now?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Big apple are any of your friends interested in this concert. I know some fans on here want to go.

OH NO!

I live in New York City and me, my friends, and my family who are all Michael Jackson fans, do not agree with this Tribute because the Estate is not involved.

And even if we were interested, we certainly would not be traveling all the way to Cardiff, Wales for that line-up. We don't even know who half of those performers are. LOL!

The last Tribute I can remember was the one for Princess Diana and that was a lovely tribute, which was both professionally done and very enjoyable, from start to finish. And the promoters didn't even have to make any conference calls. LOL!

Good for your family!!!!! Just to show you the difference in GLE/Jackson organization and other organization out there, yesterday, Billy posted that TMez will be at a banquet honoring justice for Michael in LA. Right away I tried to get a ticket and spent the night trying to book a passage to LA. I rather spend some money on a banquet ticket, airline, cab fare to and from the airports than go to this shameful concert in Wales.

I am getting the feeling that Hunt will focus more on the smaller fan groups in an attempt to sway them to their way of thinking.

Thanks elusive.

I guess that's why they are continuing to conduct their BOGUS conference calls. They need to start call those conference calls - BEGGING SESSIONS.

"Please come to the Tribute Concert for 3T's Uncle" LOL!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

^^"BEGGING SESSIONS" FUNNY!!

Thanks for the updates Elusive. Not that they are really updates. The same tickets are available as before!!! This is the main thing now--the number of seats sold. Conference calls are just PR stunts. Let's see if Hunt will make any more predictions about how many tickets will be sold this weekend.

I guess a family has a right to put on a variety show if they want to, but that does not mean we have to attend.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

GLE sent me Chris Hunt's answer to the Estate by email.

It's a pdf, who should I send it to here to you to publish it since I'm not gonna put it in my imageshack account...

edit: I sent it to Gaz email address.

I put it on twitter

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

btw Chris Hunt continues to be clueless. MJ's Trust pays the children their share from the income when they turn 21. They just don't get the principal until 30-40 years old. So when they turn 21 they'll be getting a lot more from the income than the measly $33K Global Live gave to them.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Did global live actually appologise for Kiss? I remember something about it being unfortunate.

The part about the trust fund was clueless and rude.

As for Michael's image, if that were true then why are they not using it?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Holy~~~That open letter is laughable.
Am I missing something or did they really say sorry to fans for Gene Simmons Fiasco???
I don't know whether I am the only one feeling offend by their letter. Sounds really rude to me.
They should contact the estate as the first thing when they tried to have a tribute not the other way around.
The trust fond part is OMG...........How rude is that?
It seemed that they are determined to hold this concerts no matter what.
I guess the only thing fan can do is don't give them a dime.
I just hope the estate can find some way to stop them.
What a shame of the whole thing.

THANK YOU!

Chris Hunt is full of mularkey! He talks alot but basically says nothing. Oh and he appears to think everybody is stupid, except for him.

And the part where he talks about Global Lives PLEDGE. LOL! The way they were carrying on, you would have thought that the check presented to Katherine Jackson was a live check and not just a PLEDGE, that may never see the light of day. Not that Michael's 3-children will miss out on anything. By the time they come of age, they will each most likely be a billionaire, individually. A Pledge. PLEASE!

I asked him this question yesterday too. He said it's because the website can be seen in the US.

As for the 100 000$ check.. I'm soon finishing writting this part of my call... ;) you'll probably want to destroy walls...

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

GLE have shown everything but respect to the fans.
That tribute is everything but exciting.
The charity part has been everything but transparent, considering they have changed their terms countless times. And no, GLE never said they would give any part of the proceeds to charity; the fans donations only were supposed to cover that.
They originally talked about 3 charities, now there are 2, and all the sudden money will go to the kids, who dont need money since their dad provided more than enough for them.

If you are so transparent and have that utmost respect for Michael's fans, why do you ask the Estate to contact you next time not in an open letter?

I thought they wanted to broadcast that farce in stadiums in the US also??

And this being on Pay per view will never ever be shown on a US channel? Have they ever heard of YOU TUBE?? Do they know which century this is?

Yes, why aren't we seeing Michael's picture in the newspaper ads for the 'tribute concert'? Because they can be posted on the internet maybe?? And viewed in the US??:hysterical:
The entire tone of the letter is condescending and snide...patronizing also comes to mind. I like the "I note you are an attorney..." Poorly written and offensive all the way. Basically implying that the children will be saved from poverty because they will have this trust fund at an earlier date. Hogwash. But you know something, it just shows again the unprofessionalism GLE manifests each and every time they try to do something.
I wish the Estate would respond with some scathing and instructional letter of their own.

I also asked about that and he said it would be an edited version that would be broadcast...

have to check back my recording to see if he meant that no MJ songs would be televised...I think he changed the subject a little when I asked that.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

so this is the reply that GLE actually sent to the estate in reply to the estates open letter?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

The children have always been the third charity - thats why I always found the trust fund so offensive.

It's simply insulting. That's what you call utmost respect?

There's also quite a big advert in today's Daily Mail.

That's interesting...I have never really thought of the DM as the 'go to' paper for live entertainment info ( I mean I know they have it, but it isn't the 1st place I'd look).
The DM readership demographic is interesting too... 39% of the readership is over age 65 and only 14% under 35...not what I would have thought was either the MJ or the Cxtina fanbase. Sorry, tables don't seem to work well here ...tried to separate the figs but they keep grouping back.

I think ticket sales MUST be in trouble for them to be spending sums on national advertising (metro is national too, but I only see the London version..its a free giveaway paper so all its income comes from advertising. DM is a national 'paid for ' paper, with an entertainment supp on Fridays, I understand.
