MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

It does look bad when the family isn't using every seat they could. Its hard? It may be but how hard is it for fans who are not even there to follow it online or tv but we do it to get the information we need about what happened to Michael. Some things in life you just have to grin and bear. It helps when the jury sees the family there because it humanizes the victim to them, that they are loved and missed. And why aren't some of those empty seats used by grandchildren or cousins, etc?

It looks insensitive to see them in pictures smiling and grinning like they don't have a care in the world when a bunch of strangers sitting in a courtroom are trying to find out what happened in their brother's last moments.

Absolutely, it looks bad! That is a large family, and there should be no empty seats in the courtroom, at all. Their inane tweets make it sound like they don't even know what's going ON? This is their shot at justice for Michael, and it sure looks like they don't get it? Or even care very much? I could understand if it were just too difficult to attend, but their tweets, and jaunts around Europe indicate that they are not suffering all that much? There is a trial going on about Michael's MURDER, and we are given photos of LaToya's DINNER, on the plane? :puke: How inane and pointless is THAT?

On THIS board? There has been amazing dedication to this trial, even though it's very painful for all concerned. There are people summarizing all the testimonies. Others have dedicated their time to translating into many languages. There are videos posted, and live-stream links. Some, like Elusive (and THANKS!) have even taken a financial hit by taking time off of work to watch this painful, painful trial, and provide the MJJC membership with summaries.
So thanks to everyone here, who is helping out, or simply BEING here. :clapping:

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Can we make an honest, true opinion on what people feel inside, based only on their public actions? I don't know. We all hurt and I think we would expect to see the same kind of dedication from his family, as the one we have. We spend hours in front of screens, trying to make sense of what happened, and we would want to know the family is going through the same thing. Otherwise it would mean Michael was truly alone. All we have as their actions, do they reflect their feelings? Again I don't know, I guess they are used to acting in public. Still...

I definitely don't think we can make a true opinion on what people feel inside based on public actions. Latoya mentioned in a tweet once how hard it was not to cry in front of Katherine because she needed to stay strong for her. So I think that is an example of not really knowing what they are actually feeling. Maybe performing at the tribute concert was theraputic for them. It has to be extremely taxing mentally to always be feeling sadness, anger, etc. that results from the trial and for their own mental health they need to do something that makes them happy. Also, maybe some of the brothers don't want to attend anymore or at all because they don't trust themselves to be in the same room as Murray. It has to be incredibly frustrating and infuriating to be in the same room with the man with that smug arrogant look on his face day after day and to hear testimony of all of his lies and the SIMPLE things that could have been done to save Michael's life yet weren't. Sometimes perceptions don't match reality.

Sometimes the people who care the most and understand you the most are not from your family.

@Lynn88, I agree with what you're saying but again, I'd rather have nothing at all rather than those tweets about caviar, what a great day they having, or even those pictures. It's like the way some people are acting in front of the courthouse, screaming or wearing costumes. It's not very dignified. Again, my personal feeling

Toya is the main one talking about a conspiracy and that tweet is one good reason why nobody takes her seriously when she says it.

Thank you.

It's a real disgrace, normally I'd agree that we can't judge from public appearances, but some things are just beyond tacky and tasteless, one of them is going on a VACATION after the supposed ''tribute'' in Europe while your BROTHER'S KILLER (I.E THE MAN WHO TOOK YOUR BROTHER'S LIFE!) is on trial.

It's not too much to ask them to show some tact and stop being so damn tacky in public when strangers are trying to find answers in a court room. Thousands, even millions of people all around the world attend trials of their relative's despite of it being HARD FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

And the people who do so are average working class, those people make a point to take a leave from their jobs, to make sure they find out WHY and HOW their loved ones died. Now, although none of these Jackson's are working Jackson's with active careers (I don't consider selling interviews and tacky performances as having a career), stilL I'm not expecting them to be there everyday, they should just take turns and make sure at least all of them have at least attended 4 days of the trial. But I guess even that's too much of a pain for them, although they never had and still don't have a problem with selling Michael down the road, if it benefits them.

Yet attending and following his trial somehow seems to be a pain in the ass for them and unbearable?! How come OTHER victim's family's are able to bear it and they can't?! It shows the lack of interest they're simply not interested, if Michael were my brother, I'd make sure to attend each and every day of that damn trial for the few weeks it lasts, to make sure I know WHY my brother had to die.

But they don't want to know cuz it doesn't fit THEIR AGENDA of why and how he died. If attending the trial is so troublesome for them, the least they could do is to stay out of the damn public for the few weeks the trial lasts, there is no need for them to be tweeting photos of them grinning from one ear to the other, vacationing across Europe enjoying their lives in full force, while prosecutors on the other side of the world are trying to figure out WHY their brother had to loose his life.

Folks like Latoya who can't even get the prosecution's expert witness's name right. but doesn't fail to thank HLN (!!!) a dozen times for ''doing an amazing job on the trial''. If some are still unable to grasp what's wrong with this kind of behavior, then I'm genuinly sorry for them.

Everyone in the family should take turns. That way if it is too much then can have a break. But seeing Jackie enjoying himself in Europe when the trial is going on? Can the vacation wait till after? We don't know what they are feeling inside but everyone is focused on the trial and not what they are eating and doing for fun. That's just for another time. People tweet things like that all the time but the man charged in your brother's death is on trial right now. Talk about it another time is how I feel.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

We don't care what the media thinks........otherwise we wouldn't be MJ fans!!!

So the Jacksons can travel across the ocean to do "the world's worst" charity tribute concert in Michael's name......

.....but they can't show up to the trial for Michael's sake!!!!

.....if it was my brother, I would attend every minute of the trial......

It's just further proof that they never really cared for Michael!!!!

Over the past few weeks i have prayed & hoped that the jackson family would be at the trial showing their support for mj and i understand michaels death is hard to comprehend.......but like u said krshna if it was any of my siblings id be there every single day!

Janet is coming back to the US

NEW YORK (AP) — Janet Jackson is rescheduling part of her Australian tour so she can support her family during the trial of the doctor accused of involuntary manslaughter in her brother Michael's death.

Dr. Conrad Murray is on trial in Los Angeles. He is accused of being negligent in his care of the superstar, who died in 2009 of an overdose of the anesthetic propofol at age 50.

The prosecution is wrapping up its case this week, and the defense is about to present its case. The Jacksons have been a regular presence at the trial; Janet Jackson was there at the beginning.

"When I planned these shows, the schedule in California was completely different," she said in a Sunday statement to The Associated Press. "After talking with my family last night, I decided we must be together right now. .... This saddens me in so many ways."

The shows for her "Number Ones" tour were scheduled in Melbourne on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday; to make them up, she'll perform one night, on Nov. 3, in Rod Laver Arena. She thanked her fans for their support and understanding.

Jackson also has the support of her promoter.

"It is important that Janet is with her family at this critical point in the hearing. While Janet and our company apologize for any inconvenience for the reschedule of the Melbourne shows, we thank Janet for the great and successful concerts in Perth and Adelaide and eagerly await her return. ... Our thoughts and prayers are with Janet and the entire Jackson family," promoter Paul Dainty said.

Oh I agree the tweet about caviar was definitely out of line along with how people are behaving in front of the courthouse. I actually didn't even think about the trial when I saw that tweet. My first thought was that is was incredibly tacky because of how bad the economy is and how many people don't have jobs and thier homes are being foreclosed on and she's talking about eating caviar. As for Jackie yeah it probably wasn't good timing to post those pictures. He did later thank everyone for their support. I'm sure even though they aren't attending that they are getting info from family members who do attend and also on-line.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

HLN just reported that Katherine is flying to London for a committment she made regarding a DVD before this trial was rescheduled. Katherine may not be back in time for the verdict.

ETA: Maybe this is why Janet has changed her mind and decided she needs to be in court.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Can't someone take Katherine's place?

Here's why Jermaine isn't at court:

jermjackson5Jermaine Jackson

Away from trial with face that looks like it's been hit by Mike Tyson. Lots of stitches/pain. Nasty tooth infection led to surgery...

jermjackson5Jermaine Jackson

I'll return when the swelling and pain subsides, but I want to thank you for all your well wishes and concern

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Katherine is probably going for David Gest's documentary premier. Isn't Rebbie and Tito also involved in that? Wow. I can't believe his mother would miss the day of the verdict. Isn't justice for her son more important than Gest's DVD? :(

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

It is absolutely unbelivable what is happening in the last more than two years since Michael left us. I know I am subjective over this but still.....he deserves so much more. Even now...the trial and everything...it seems like the world had lost an interest. All we have left are scandals and heartbreaking pictures that will seel the tabloids. Whatever the verdict will say, there will never be justice for Michael.
When he left....one era ended. An era of integrity and glory. He left me in the dark and took my heart with him.
All I care about now are his beautiful kids and I hope they will continue their father"s work. His family....I don"t care about.
The truth is they owe their weath to him. And they were always living on his glory. He knew that.
It is up to us and the next generations to keep his legacy alive.
I am sad beyond words that most of the world will never know who Michael really was.

So Michael's best friend David Gest makes his mother fly to London to promote his film during the time when the verdict for his best friend death will be announced? I say, nice friendship. Full of love and devotion.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Whether it's Gest's DVD or any other, once more, such a weird move. I dont understand this woman at all.

And, btw, dear David, another of Michael's best buddies ( I wish I had as many best friends as Michael), doesnt seem to care much about the trial either... What is wrong with all these people??

Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert aring on UK TV

Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert will be on Sky 1/HD on 27th October at 9pm.

I guess all of them are going to tell you that the show must go on. lol
I really don't like his interview. As for the documentary I will save my comment till I saw it on youtube (I think it will surface sooner or later). Tom Mesereau said this one is good and this is the only reason I will give it a try.

Re: Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert aring on UK TV

thankyou for letting us know, although i don't have sky1 i am sure someone here will upload it,

Re: Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert aring on UK TV

I'm sure it will be cancelled!

Especially when there is always this outrage about katherine being attacked by fans, which I think is BS because they have to know non fans are saying worse things about her, but are they making sure she comes across better to folks? No!

When strange moves like this are always done, what do you expect?
