I'm almost sure I wouldn't have reacted like that. Had he been in front of me, the far likelier scenario would be the one where he does the fainting, considering how freightful I can be 😱

I know y'all talked about this before - being the YANA girl on stage, during the HIStory tour. Definitely not my thing. Far too crowded for my liking, one too many cameras also. During the tour, when he came over and had other events in town, I didn't go because I didn't like all the screaming and the hoopla that came with it. I figured I would see him from a safe distance, in the stands of the stadium, the following evening. Which of course, I did 😁 They say Bruno Mars attended one of the HIStory concerts in Hawaii. Pretty cool, right? Well, that ain't nothin' compared to the concert I was at. Can y'all believe the honor........for Michael.........to share the same space........with me? 🤣

Leavin' silly jokes aside, how about we get back on track with the business of the thread? 😼

I have no idea what this means. And I don't really want to. But if it means what I think it means, can I just say, I am totally straight edge. No judgement, OK? Just putting it out there in case I need to step away from the conversation at any point in the future.

When I say 'straight edge' I mean, hardcore.

This is probably gonna sound ridiculous, especially posting it on this thread and especially given that my situation is, er, 'evolving' quite fast (i.e. warp speed, lol) but I totally agree with this. I can't even watch footage of screaming fans. I remember reading an anecdote from a fan who, years down the line, was still addled by the memory of having made eye contact with Michael. How did she achieve this? By banging on the roof of his car. I'm not trying to occupy the moral high ground here but that made me ... well, let's just say, I would never in a million years subject someone to that, I don't care how much they might be used to it or even how much they might like being the centre of a certain type of attention.

Oh dear, is that what happens when I give myself a night off? :(

Unfortunately I’m not aware of any way to delete a comment on these threads or else I would. It was meant to be a light hearted share and it never occurred to me that it would make anyone uncomfortable. So I’m very sorry for that. It is a very rare occurrence for me, though even if it weren’t, it’s certainly not something I feel any need to talk about. So that’s it for me.

The only part I meant to take away from that is that Rock with You is a lovely song with seductive qualities. Though without a pic or gif attached that’s not the best manhood post anyway. Those are certainly what the thread is all about.

Anything from TII destroys me (but in a good way). I always wanna say TII is my jam but feel I shouldn't because, you know, circumstances. But it was the first time I'd seen Michael outside of the videos. It's impossible not to react to him. I don't feel guilty for liking the film so much but, well, I do feel conflicted. 🤔

Yeah, totally get that. Please don't feel uncomfortable. With me, I'm always (ALWAYS) out of step with everyone. Even my straight edge is more hardcore than anyone I know. So I often drop away from stuff quite abruptly. That's how I cope with stuff. Ironically, whenever I try to do this 'explaining' thing, it often causes more problems than I had hoped it would solve. You'd think I'd have learnt by now but apparently not. I really just wanted to say, if I disappear over the horizon, it's all good.

And it is all good.

That's from Beat it. Even if you can't see the whole movie, here's that performance


One of the best parts about it is right there, at the end, after my lil' gif moment, when Michael, is all fired up and stuff and goes ...........let IT burn and the lights OUT...........tryin' to act all cool, but almost bumpin' into the guy with the black t-shirt :ROFLMAO: but then takin' a very quick turn to the right, hopin' obviously nobody noticed 🤭 Cute, very cute, bless him :love:

Btw of the movie, I can totally see why a lot of people would be uncomfortable with that. Still, if you pay attention to the gifs I made, you'll get an idea about the most important moments of it all 😎

That was so fantastic! I really loved that! He is so endlessly cool and endearing. It's just amazing to see his work process in such clear footage like this - the way he is rehearsing, but also kind of producing at the same time with the feedback he is giving to the dancers and whatnot during this. I also just love his energy, especially given his age and everything that was going on. What a wonderful video :)

YESS!! I definitely think for a future watch party we should just create a playlist of performances, interviews, clips, etc and just fully indulge lol.

I know you love that other Wetten Dass clip of his "interview" which I'm also in love with. So that could be a part of it too haha :)

hee hee, I could not resist and watched both the show and interview today :love: . Does not mean we can't see it again! Loved the transformation from Earth Song performing Michael to the shy school boy Michael in the show.

Oh this is the one what started it all! Help!! Now I am down the rabbit hole of interviews and behind the scenes!! (bad YT suggest, very bad!) Just watched 40 min of behind the scenes of HIStory Bremen! Micheal's interactions with fans is just wow! 😮 He selects some and hugs them, always one hand behind the head, I want that hug! 😭

Omggg to all of these GIFS and pictures from this performance!!! This was the first performance when I saw him go up on the arm and hang off of it and I freak out when I see it! His passion and intensity is just…. Whew boy. I love it!! Also he just looks so good in all of these 😍

Also, I’m so glad you watched it!!! I need to watch that with the interview too lol. I’m in a low mood today (Michael sadness among other personal sadnesses) but beautiful Michael moments always bring me back!

Also, I desperately want a Michael hug. I love that he always put his hands on peoples heads when he hugged them. I also think it’s so cute how he patted kids heads affectionately. He was just so great lol.

Same here! Low mood today. I don't know anymore if I can separate my personal sadness from Michael, .... and yes watching these does bring me back for some time.
Here is the link, but its in German. There are short interviews with his crew in English but they are also voiced over -

And hmmm... what's going on with us? lol I woke up today feeling really, really depressed and sad. I totally agree that It's hard for me to separate some of my Michael sadness from my personal sadness. I feel like a lot of the things that make me sad about Michael connect to me on a personal level beyond just fandom, if that makes sense. I wonder if something is off in the world' energy today, Michael-wise. Seems strange we both are feeling that today, but then again, maybe not. Who knows, I suppose!

awww so true! I like to say that certain people tend to "present tall" because of the power of their presence. He is definitely one of those people. He was reported to be somewhere between 5'9-5'10 I believe? So pretty average height wise. He was also really small most of his life, weight wise I think. But he looks so much bigger and more of a presence than anyone would ever guess! He's adorable either way :)
