I'm sick of hearing that this isn't Michael, and so I need to say something quick.
First of all, this is Michael. What people seem to be forgetting is that, in each album, Michael would record over 100 songs. The ones that they think about putting on the album actually get cleaned up to sound like what we know as Michael Jackson's own unique songs. But "Michael" is made up of songs that were never finished. Without Michael there to help with this, and his original team not always around, things begin to sound different. Especially if they're missing a piece of audio...what are they supposed to do? It's not like they can bring Mike back and make him sing.
God, how I wish they could do that...
Anyways....
Something else that people should know is that it's been said that Michael isn't really on this track, and that his family thinks that he isn't the voice on these tracks. But it is him, and you can Google it if you want to. Talk to Sony Music. I don't care. That rumor that his family doesn't like the record was started by his nephew, who has been reported jealous of Michael for a very long time. He did this to augment his own self worth. Actually, Katherine said that she loves the sound of the album and what they did with it. She thinks that it was put together very well, considering that Michael didn't get the final say in everything. And she's proud of the record---his own MOTHER, who any real Michael fan would know meant the world to our King of Pop---and she says she thinks Michael would have like it, as well.
I would also like to say that I really think everyone should just be thankful that we get a record in the first place. Do you know how long it took the Sony to convince the Estate of Michael Jackson to release these songs? This is stuff that we could have never heard before, guys! I can't believe that we've forgotten something so essential, that Michael wanted us to know all along. Michael always said that his music was his art, and he loved the fans so much more because they accepted it, throguh thick and thin, no matter if it was "trendy" or not.
Which brings me to my next point: What's the point of being a true, die hard, bust-balls Michael Jackson fan? You deffend him. Where are the fans that stood outside the courthouse, praying that he be aquitted quickly? Where are the people who stood outside in the cold for concerts, even if it was raining or snowning? Where did the people who put memorials outside of Neverland and Michael's childhood home in Gary, Indiana last June disappear to? Everyone who is a real Michael Jackson fan would know that fueling these rumors his horribly wrong. For a little while after Michael died, he was able to get away from the talk, the rumors, and everything negative. He was the King of Pop to the world again!
So what are we doing? His own fans---HIS FANS!!!!---are saying things about him that aren't true! Michael wrote these, sung these, and wanted to give them to dus, but never got the chance to. Yet, we're fueling the rumors of all this? I can't stand how hypcritical everyone is being about the situation. I could understand if you were a little confused at first, because even I will admit that this track is a bit heavy on the side of music. But balance aside, I love "Breaking News".
The reason that Michael, in the 1990's---if I do remember my facts correctly, so please feel free to correct me if I am wrong---called Sony out was because of the man who ran it at the time. That man, according to Michael, was "...a mean, a racist, and very, very devilish". In MJ language, he's saying this dude was a lying, backstabing sun of a ***** and deserved to be ****** to ****. But now, Michael owned part of Sony, guys. Sony gave us "This Is It", both the movie and the album. Would you have wanted all that beautiful music, that genious, to go to waste? I can honestly say that woudn't have.
And I'm sorry to bring this up, but it's true: Michael was in so much debt, his family couldn't pay it off. They're a little on the desperate side for money. It's up to us, the fans, to help support Michael and his family now that he can no longer support himself. Doing things like buying albums, movies, t-shirts, and anything else Michael-related goes to the Estate of Michael Jackson to help pay off some of this stuff. You want to know the alternative? No more King of Pop. They won't be able to afford it. Think with me for a minute here:
A world without Michael? We got close enough to that already...I don't think that I could ever, ever live that way. Those two seconds when I thought that I wouldn't hear of him again scared me so badly that I almost died myself. I cry when I think about things like that. I don't want to live in that world.
We have to stop this. We need to get rid of the rumors. STOP FUELING IT! STOP FEEDING IT! JUST STOP!
You realize this is what "Breaking News" is about, right? This is what "Why You Wanna Trip on Me", "Leave Me Alone", "Tabloid Junkie", "Billie Jean"...My goodness, the list I could make of songs that Michael wrote over the years for us to listen to, for us to scream at the tops of our lungs when the rest of the world doubted him to show our support. Our love. Where is that love, guys? Why have you suddenly decided to turn your back on Michael?
Tell me, what did he do to you?
I love "Breaking News". I think it promises a perfect album, just like everything else Michael has done over his life time. If someone doesn't like the album, then so be it. You can't make people love everything in the world. But I give my thanks and praises to the people who, like me, are sitcking by Michael no matter what. I will help in the little ways that I can with his debt. I will always love and support him.
Michael, I adore you. I'm so, so sorry that people are doing this to you again. I'm not. I promised. I will love you for always and forever, and I hope this record is as amazing as the others were for you. From here on Earth, I send you hugs and kisses, and every bit of support I can scrape out of my soul for you. And only for you.
Say hi to Jesus for me, Mikey.
I will always love you.
With my last words in this passage, I have to remind you all of "Man in the Mirror". Michael wants us to make a change in the world. This is one of those changes. Stop yourself from saying things, and they won't be said at all. It's about us. It starts with us, or it will never be done. Let Michael be left alone for once, just once. Keep him in your hearts, let him be a star, but never, ever spread things about him. Don't become the media. Please.
