Come to think of it, I think the MJ logo from HIStory was modeled after the Prince logo.

What's inside the bubbles?

Someone has a valid point about a Prince symbol. I don't see it but it could be the one he has copyright on. Maybe Prince did a new recording with Micahel and it's on there to list him, if not the point is valid that a lawsuit could brought forth.

I love the cover, it's amazing, his best one so far! :) And I'm sure MJ would have loved it too, it reminds me of the comment of David Nordahl (I think it was him) who said Michael loved little secrets in his paintings.. this album cover is full of them! The more you watch it, the more you discover. And it gives us something to talk about ;) I'm not bothered at all with the fact that they used old images of Michael for the front, as this is when he was in his prime and this is how I would like to remember him. Just like Elvis is always portrayed as young and handsome rather than old and fat like he was in his later years. It's all part of his legacy. Besides, there will be plenty of albums in the future where they can use more recent images. But as the first album cover post-death, I would have chosen a collage too. I don't know what some of you are bickering about. You can't please everybody, I guess.

Agreed! And I've noticed not a peep heard from the biggest naysayers Kreen and Master_Moonwalker. Must be eating a plate full of crow right about not. :D

You know what!? I got a funny feeling this is not the full cover because the part of the police could be the part where MJ running with the Police, and since it's on Dangerous its probably during Dangerous era picture. I could be wrong lol. ;)

This is the first album where it doesn't say "Michael Jackson" on the front of the cover. It only says - "Michael"

Not "Michael Jackson - Michael" - but with that cover Michael is enough said.


This is simply Michael

Well... considering that Prince has removed himself completely from all internet existence, and shut down some of the biggest Prince fan websites over using his logo. All the remaining Prince fan sites having cartoons and purple colours because Prince's lawyers will not allow them to continue using his symbol or likeness.... so with that said. No, I don't think they got permission. lol
