I'm not being funny but.. Grow up? Did it never occur to you that Michael might have just LIKED the symbol? I'm sure the Estate has better things to do than listen to someone whinging about a symbol in a picture.

well then they should have used that other part of the painting as the front cover and this part as the back cover.

I like this painting in general. It's a nice painting. And I even think Michael would have loved it as well and probably would have put it on a wall in his house lol but still I think these images from 25 years ago don't fit the album of recent music.

I really feel that by choosing this art as a cover they show that they are ashamed of Michael's appearance and I think it's insulting towards Michael.

I am insulted that people think MJ would be ashamed of his darker skin being on the cover. MJ had many paintings from the Thriller era at his house.

MJ was a black man for crying out loud...he never claimed to be anything but a black person.

Let me log off for a minute...

I'm sorry if this has already been said, but is the cover like a timeline of Michael's life? From left to right.

His previous eras, Thriller, MTV, he was declared the King Of Pop (by Elizabeth Taylor), the media started to pay attention to him and so on... If that's the case then I don't think that's the whole cover, but only a part of it.

:2cents: the Prince logo might be there to show Michael liked him, even though people were always guessing there is/was a rivalry between the two of them.

That's true. In the 80s people complained Michael looked too feminine on the Bad cover, and people did complain about the Dangerous cover. We're MJ fans. We are not entitled to happiness, only the pursuit :cheeky:

There was Hundred and Hundred of people or even Artists That MJ Loved...more than Prince.

It's still the front of the album...So..that's what will represent it..not the back so if there is more pix...that's my main issue with it..Other that, I look forward to hearing the music very much :yes:

So maybe that's the case with this cover, as some suggest:
The cover spreads to the back of the CD and perhaps going to the left takes you to the J5 era and going to the right to the Invincible era. Hmmm

That's EXACLY what I'm thinking...I like the what I've seen of the cover, I wish there was more representation of Mike's later years, and I suspect there is more to the cover...even if it isn't it's nothing more than a cover.

A lot of you are ruining this for yourself before you even get to hear a note of music.

Think about that...

1. and about the prince symbol: remember that there was a time when duet rumours were being discussed some years ago in the 2000s (no connection to bad era). does someone has a link back to those days?

what it there was some truth to those reports and something actually got recorded. if it was not finised back then it might have been completed now. if that is the case and that stuff made it's way to the album the symbol would make perfect sense...

That would be really cool.

Please can someone tell this to the Estate ? It's a Mistake ! an horribe Mistake done because of irresponsibles peoples who work at the Estate and at Sony.

Who knows… the artists you listed Might as well be there. Eddie Murphy is on there… The thing about Michael albums is that the make you see things that you have never expected… I think this Cover is great.. but thats just my Opinion. The way I see it, It shows everything that he has done in the music field and ppl. who he had worked with… we might find something about Liz Taylor, James Brown… etc…

I *dont* agree that the cover should have been a very recent one. He is now eternal, all all ages.

That's a good observation. A lot like the idea that when you die you can take the form of who you were in your prime.
