If it is true, hope there's some nice references like ET, James Brown, Diana Ross, Chaplin, Gene Kelly, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, do you know what I mean, rather than people in his life that have helped and worked with him. I want pics of people / characters that influenced Michael.

In my opinion, this is leading to suggest that the album is called Immortal, and the Cirque De Soleil show is the 'World Tour' supporting it, just as there was the 'Bad' and 'Dangerous' tours etc. Like you said, I can't see them changing the website to something new only after 2 days of having the Cirque stuff up - putting 2 and 2 together here guys, we'll just have to wait for the answer...

I fear that you're correct.

I mean, it's a good idea having the show as promotion. (Just as Michael (almost ) always did) However, I really feel they should have announced the album first, so that people would make the connection. I really fear that the general public will ignore the album, thinking it's the other way around - an album to support the show. If I was a casual fan and heard they shared a title I'd think "I don't really need the Cirque cd." and pass on it.

Regarding the actual title, though, - From a marketing standpoint, this will fare much better if it's promoted as "Michael Jackson's last album" "the album he spent the last decade preparing", etc. In order to do that, the title shouldn't remind you too strongly of his death and it would need to be something he would have titled it himself. Also, I doubt there will be a song with the same name on the album. Plus, I just find it kind of bland/unoriginal - it doesn't have that bit or kick and hasn't that title been used before various times?

*Sighs* well, if it doesn't come today, I'm 99.9999% positive that it will come before Katherine and co. appear on Oprah - there's no way they'd miss the opportunity to have it promoted on there. =P

I hope there is a song on the album dedicated to Oprah. Oh, and she should be the ONLY PERSON on the album cover. If I see anyone but Oprah on the album cover i'm going to projectile vomit.

Oh, and Oprah should go on tour with Cirque Du Soleil to promote her album.

There is some sort of mistake here. Oprah never really influenced MJs life , its the other way around.

I wouldnt believe the Oprah stuff if I were you. Its just tabloid junk. How would Oprah have influenced Oprahs life in anyway at all. Its more likely the other way round if anything.

This album should be called 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'. It has sort of a ring to it.

hi guys, my sony source told me that they recently heard 3 new tracks and they were really great. obviously demos, but great nonetheless. also, it wasn't changed much, in order to retain its "genuineness" so to speak. just a little cleaning up. these 3 tracks were part of the authentication.

Somebody on the chat confirmed the release date is 6th December (7th in Europe) and title is 'Immortal'. 'The Future' was considered for a title.
14 songs were considered but not all will be on the album.
The cover art is spectacular - "truely a work of art". From that hint I suspect the cover may be a painting. He has seen the artwork.

Apparently we have not heard all the news regarding 'Vision' yet.
we will see more about the making of immortal in a few weeks.

I got the impression the estate still hasn't given the final go ahead for the announcement.

He has logged off now.

I hope the title part is not true h34r: I want it to be THE FUTURE!

Why are people wanting The Future instead of Immortal?

Immortal carries on the theme of past albums of having one word titles. The word Immortal isnt supposed to remind us that he is dead, it basically says.

He isnt dead and he will live on forever through his music.

Thats why its an excellent title, The Future doesnt make any sense at all. . . . Its about THE CURRENT album, not about the future.
